Came here during the peak of dinner time on a Saturday evening and was lucky enough to snag the last table for 2 they had available. I highly recommend making a reservation - as this place was definitely packed. I can tell they were opened, thriving, and definitely busy - with only 3 servers and all tables filled in the restaurant, I was very impressed by their work ethic. Our server in particular never made us feel rush though he was clearly busy and slowed down to ask us questions on how the food was. We ordered the beef kofte and lamb Shish- very good! Paired well with the rice and side yogurt, moist and not dry. I was surprisingly filled up on the entree alone. Meals are also offered with complimentary homemade warm bread. We live right down the street and have been in two times in the last month. Disclaimer: my wife has lived in the ME, N Africa, Central Asia for a number of years and including a short time in Turkey. She informed the menu and the food itself were truly authentic ME. We both love the freshness and while you may need to wait a wee bit longer than other ME dining rooms around, it's only because every dish is painstakingly hand prepared- nothing that's been in the refrigerator for a few days. I really enjoy eating at Maya Bistro. Their meals taste like actual...FOOD! Real vegetables chopped by real people. Fresh sauces made the day they are served. Nothing tastes bagged, frozen, processed, preserved or microwaved. Many dishes include some type of fresh salad or vegetable garnish (e.g., red cabbage, shredded carrots) which add a splash of color, texture and flavor to the main dish. This place is sheer delight! A friend and I are always looking for a new place to try. They had an interesting menu so decided to give it a try. The food was colorful and and well presented even in the take out containers that we are all growing accustomed to. Pick up was through their side door. It was quick and cheerful. We got the Maya Trio with hummus, baba ganoush and htipiti for starters followed by the mixed grill for two and Kunefe for dessert. All of it was fantastic. I will definitely be back! read more

Location is awful! Strip mall is so small and there's no parking. There's parking at the strip mall next door but it's hard to navigate in the dark. Food was decent, the hummus was really fresh. This was one of the few places open on Christmas so we decided to take a chance. What an unexpected Christmas present. We ordered the grape leaves, mezze platter and moussaka. Wow - everything tasted fresh and great. Stand-outs were the grape leaves, cheese cigars (borek) and moussaka. Also had champagne (cava) by the glass which I really enjoyed. Warm, cozy place. As soon as we entered the restaurant there was a staff member name Murat with kind and smile welcomed us. He was so nice to us and he helped us what to get. My girlfriend and I stopped in here basically as a place to chat with our real estate agent about a house we were interested in. It was early afternoon on a Monday, so we were the only ones there for a while. None of us were actually that hungry so we ordered 2 of the appetizer platters. We didn't come here expecting anything really, but were absolutely impressed by the service and food. Everything we ate was great, but the grill platter was outstanding. The ingredients were fresh, with well balanced seasoning and the meat cooked to perfection. We stopped in for for an early dinner after reading some nice reviews of the Resturant. They have been open about three weeks. They are a family owned and run establishment. Before I start I want to say Bravo. We needed a great neighborhood spot to even out our offerings. We live off of Florida Street so we want a place to walk to. We started with a trio platter of Htipiti, Hummus and Babaganoush . All three were excellent. The Htipiti tasted as if it had made just for us. The Baba was served with some wonderful pomegranate seeds, yummy! The Hummus with some lovely springs of mint. Bread is amazing and warm. I was hoping to bring some home but it all disappeared. I had a bowl their soup of the day, which was Chicken Orzo and I loved it. Carol tried the Veggie Guvec with Bugler and it looked as if she might melt she thought it so good! I had a Greek beer and Carol brought a Baklava home with us. Our food was totally on point! The service was great. Looking forward to taking friends back. read more

We ordered exactly the same things what we order at one of our favorites in the area (Yayla Bistro), vegetarian platter and then we went for Kunafe (the cheese was mozarella and the layer of noodles was thick) and Baklava. This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. They just opened and the brother and sister were the servers and the mom and dad were cooking in the back. It gives it such a Home feeling. My friends and I decided to give it a try after reading an article and it did not disappoint. We will be back and I definitely will recommend this place to friends. They sat and talked to us for a while and we got to talk to them about where they're from and why they decided to make the restaurant and why they decided to make the restaurant in Arlington I hope you enjoy the pictures I provided. The only thing is that I would suggest is that they hire some more people, but I think that they already know that. The dumplings were some of the best things I've ever tasted.
