When my insurance carrier changed I learned that WCS did not accept them and was not willing to bring them on. Out-of-network insurance coverage would be very expensive because I would be paying the prohibitively high "cash" rate until my out-of-network deductible would be met. (Also very high.) I appealed to the owner to pay the same rate as I was with my previous insurance, which was more affordable. (I've done this before with other professionals and they had no issue.) However, the owner declined to accept my offer stating that she had to look after the welfare of the business. WCS has a financial appeal I could submit, but it is based on the Affordable Care Act. In otherwords, since I can afford therapy from WCS with my insurance only, I am denied any financial assistance from Afforable Care Act. Very disappointing.
