The Center for Advanced Care also includes LGH's Caldwell Breast Center which does mammograms, ultrasounds, etc for women, and which she also utilizes annually. Fortunately we don't need to visit very often here otherwise but it is nice and convenient to have this facility and its specialized services so close to home and with easy, free garage parking and access. Staffers are great and the whole operation is well organized. Big thumbs up, but don't come here without insurance coverage unless you want to go under, eeek!

My dad said the nurse that took care of him in Recovery was "rough" and "careless". He had pain afterwards and she seemed uncompassionate. Hearing that, i just felt saddened by the care of the nurse that took care of him. His english isn't the greatest, so he felt she didn't take the time to let him understand everything and just gave him pain medicine so he can leave and not be a nuisance. After talking to the doctor, i got more of a clear understanding of what to expect for him so it made him feel at ease but his experience was bad there because of the nurse there. When I tried to ask questions about serious side effects from a prescribed medication, I was spoken to rudely and even yelled at. I've personally known someone who died from complications due to medication side effects, so I take this seriously. I called the office seven times trying to get a safer alternative, and each time I was either ignored, misunderstood, or given another medication with severe side effects. Instead of showing concern, they made me feel like a burden for simply wanting treatment that won't put my health at risk -- especially considering my age and medical history. I was brought to tears by how I was treated. I am absolutely done with this office and will never return. It's clear that they prioritize speed over safety, do not take individual risks or age into account, and have no interest in genuinely communicating with or supporting their patients.

Having said, I was on major opioids for last 28 years up until 2 months when Cristina Gonzalez at From Pain to Wellness kicked me out of the practice for one of the meds I was on not showing in my urine. Just like that, after 28 years of opioids, 13 years of being seeing by the same pain management clinic.. that was it! Kicked to the curb with no help, no suggestion on where to go , what to do... Frankly, my first thoughts were very dark - wasnt sure if life was worth living. Was worried about withdrawals.. more importantly how in the HELL does a Dr prescribe 300mg of oxy a day and then say " adios.... Hope you figure it out.... ". Well Cristina, the joke is on you b/c Ive never been better. All thanks to Dr Oyasu of ModernMed. For those out there who are looking for support.. maybe youve experienced a similar situation with a rigid personality nurse practitioner. Whatever it is, please know that it's gonna be ok! In Fact, your life is gonna get better..... Dr Oyasu of ModernMed is a Demi god! His regular job is that of an emergency room physician yet he decided to open ModernMed to support people like me, who got caught up in an opioid cycle. All this b/c his heart was breaking for all the types of people coming into his ER for opioid treatment / withdrawal . my first apt was to discuss my plan in how I was going to get off 300 mg / day of OXY basically cold turkey without ruining my life, my marriage, my job. Dr sat down with me to come up with a plan. He prescribed a handful of medications in which I was super scared yet OMG I had ZERO withdrawals.... I maybe felt a little crummy for a few hours, maybe a day and that was it..... withdrawals over! Folks... you DONT have to spend 100k on some fancy rehab. You just need a really good Dr! Here we are.... Almost two months later... weve had to tweak a few of the meds yet I'm on my way to being fully done w/ opioids and the best part is that I've never felt better - i feel strong, alert, happy, my brain is working in ways it hasnt in decades... I can't explain it but it's exciting . I feel like my brain is coming to life! I hope this helps someone out there! Whoever u are... whoever needs help... Dr Oyasu is waiting for u with open arms to help you see the light. Opioids suck! It's a never ending ticket to nowhere. At Pain to Wellness I spent $500 a month with insurance just to come in to do regular refill apt. Just think , that's $6000 back in my pocket! Maybe I'll spend that money on a trip to Africa, maybe Europe.. Best part is that I won't be jaded on opioids... I'm free!!!!!

To be clear of my experience: Therapist was outstanding…read more Reason behind my rating: When I had originally enrolled my son to work with this facility my first and most important request was that he would have the ability to work with the same therapist. In receiving services with cps there was a lot inconsistency with services and the therapist was changing frequently. So naturally I thought that if we paid for private services this problem can be avoided. So I searched for a private practice . I was assured that the request for having my child consistently work with the same therapist would be fulfilled. Those assurances gave me peace of mind and with that we enroll our child. Now I'm being informed that my child will no longer be able to work with the same therapist due to policy change. I asked what the out of pocket expense would be to keep my son with the same therapist and was informed that "regrettably" that wasn't an option. Again I re-iterated to the facility prior to enrollment the importance it was for me to have 1 instructor work with my child. And now (a few short months later) my family and I can no longer be accommodated.

Especially when his partner denied my husband samples that were in plain eyesight. The same partner that misdiagnosed my husbands strep throat. My husband could not swallow and was drooling with a raging fever. I had to call an ambulance because he was at risk of choking. Nonetheless, he was hospitalized for 2 days on IV antibiotics. Worst practice and most pompis doctors I have ever encountered. We switched doctors office immediately.
