Ok I understand this is a speaktiki so technically a SECRET. But it's just too fun to keep it shush. Adults only. Their menu is unique to their bar (so not the same drinks you get downstairs in their sister property Agave Bandido. To get in go to the back left corner of the dining room where there is what looks like a bar wall storage. Ta da! Staircase access! Small and intimate upstairs. Tiki vibes and drinks. So fun for a night out or a special get together. The bartenders are all lovely, kind and know their drinks.

Service was awesome too. We got there right when they opened so it was just me and my mom at first and the guy at the bar made it easy and fun. The vibe feels a bit on the fancier side, but it's still chill, a perfect spot for date night or just taking cute photos. No hidden entrance or secret password that we could see and street parking is available. No wait during the day. It's not the cheapest spot, but honestly worth it for the drinks and the aesthetic. I'd love to go back and try more of their craft tails sometime!

The ambiance is polished compared the dive bar scene in the surrounding area. I tried the "Do No Wrong" which calls for: Mezcal, house made orgeat, lime, habanero tincture, mint, nutmeg. I made it known to the bartender that I don't like the excessive sweetness that sometimes orgeat (almond) syrup has in drinks so he could adjust that for me. The drink turned out nice with the crushed ice they use for it and I'd try it again. Also tried the "Chai and Chill" which based off their website is: "Warming spices with chai and espresso, complemented by creamy vanilla and a hint of cinnamon -- smooth, aromatic, and cozy for winter evenings." Being that it's winter in Florida and my smelling sense isn't the sharpest at the time, I wasn't able to appreciate the aromatics in this drink but I'd say it's a balanced creamy drink, perhaps I'd ask for more espresso based liquor in it if I had it again or good for you to know in case you want to make sure that it carries enough coffee flavor for you. As of February 2026, they are doing comedy nights on Thursdays.

It was midday on a weekend, (Apr 2026), and they were serving a short lunch menu. We got a handful of savory beef empanadas with strong black brightly flavored espresso, one with a splash of almond milk. We were tempted by their nitro cold-brew, but instead moved on to chomp on fun zingy chili-lime yucca fries with chipotle aioli, completely compatible with ice-cold Pacifica Clara pilsner and Modelo lager from among craft and classics on-tap. This is a pleasant spot for a Saturday or Sunday midday retreat. We gotta come back in the evening (Thu-Sun) when we're cool enough for their speakeasy :-)

Looking at the menu I was bit surprised they did not have more signature drinks on the menu, mainly mojitos, but then realized this is a Latin speakeasy, with music playing to match. Once I had my coconut mojito I was very pleased. They really do know how to make them. They also have a full bar so anything you want they can make, The bartender and servers were super nice and friendly, and they worked quick to get all drinks out. They also had some food, that looked delicious, and hope I get the chance to come back to try some. After seating in the lounge/ speakeasy area for a while, we moved to the bar for a last drink. The bartender said Espresso Martinis were her specialty so we order those. She was not lying, one of the best we've had.

Interesting space... I see the vision but this is why space planning is so important. Or maybe it's the designer in me. I found the seating very uncomfortable and awkwardly positioned. The services was good and the empanadas were tasty (little greasy) Drinks were yummy... The old fashion was presented in a box while it was being smoked, very cool concept. Overall I dig the concept and I was glad to check it out since I was in the Kissimmee area.

We absolutely loved going to Ciro's when they were still opened and enjoying their fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies amongst many other things. We saw that Jekyll offered "Ciro's Chocolate Chip Cookies" and we were so excited to one, try Jekyll, and two, gobble up some made to order cookies. So, we arrived a few minutes before our 7pm reservation, but were left standing at the entrance as other parties were shuttled right in. In fact, 10 minutes later, we were still standing there. After almost 15 minutes, we were finally escorted into the speakeasy. This was the first sign of how the evening was going to go and, honestly, we should've left after five minutes of waiting. Once seated, we were warmly greeted by Otis, who took our order for the cookies and spiked milk. When the runner brought the cookies they were neither fresh from the oven, nor warm (or gooey) like real Ciro's cookies were. Instead, they were cold, hard and broke like peanut brittle. I spoke to Otis, who immediately addressed the matter and put in another order of cookies. The second order was delivered by the manager, who claimed that he stood and watched the entire process. This was difficult for us to believe because the second batch cookies were even worse than the first batch. So, we called Otis back over, told him we were leaving and thanked him for his superior service. At this same time, a bar tender, who overheard all of this, stopped by with two complementary beverages. The drinks were the highlight of the visit along with the severs graciousness and professionalism. Jekyll appears to be a very nice place. Unfortunately, they don't make, nor serve authentic Ciro's chocolate chip cookies. Two stars for Otis and bar tender. Do better Jekyll!!

I had a group of us driving to Orlando for a weekend and we were making good time, so it was perfect to stop short in St Cloud to see what this Black Squirrel Bookstore was all about. I actually let the girls go in and check it out as we had brought our dog. I sat in the car and read a book ironically, why they had some speakeasy fun. well after maybe a half hour i looked up and my gal and another lady were by the car. The other lady said she was the owner and that we could bring our dog Augie inside. It was very kind of her, as it really wasn't expected art such a nice spot. The bookstore itself is a treat, but we were there for the speakeasy. For this you ring the doorbell outside, they come get you and give you a clue to get in. They don't make you do it if you don't want to but, that is part of the fun. We solved it and in we went. Squirrels everywhere, fun signs, chandeliers, books and light, plus beautiful cozy tables and sofa seating, giving this a great speakeasy ambiance. On the corner a piano, and to our surprise a wonderful live jazz singer, who made our experience even better. The owner happened to be there that night and came to welcomes us at our table. Really nice lady, very happy to see people enjoy the place, and she herself was there with friends having a great time. The drinks are fun, and they have a food menu too. Honestly a place I want to come back to and recommend to everyone.

Once inside you see how little this place is, which is one of the reasons for 3 stars. Other downfalls was service being slow, so much that we left without getting any drinks after standing by the bar for about ten minutes without much moving. The place was crowded, probably because earlier today was the pride parade. Another reason for the lower score is only one bathroom stall from what we could tell. And not enough tables because of how small the venue is. There were a couple small tables with drinks on them but no one busing the floor. Liked the decorations in the corner with old record albums... Kiss, Robert Palmer, Chuck Magione, Ricki Lee Jones, Adam Ant. The music playing was good. After Bodega closes the only entrance/exit is a door that dumps to the side alley. It isn't hidden so found it pretty easily. A loose entrepretation of a speakeasy. Might try this again on a less busy night where the bar service can keep up with the patrons. Recommend this place to smaller numbers of 2-4 people. Anything larger and they just can't accommodate properly. In my picture you can see how small all the tables are... Bodega closes several hours before Bar Chica, so if the Central Avenue door is locked then entrance is down the alley to the right. They close at 1a on Saturdays...
