This is a bar located inside Aloft, Sarasota. While the hotel itself met/exceeded my expectations, this bar is entirely a different story. There were no food options. They didn't have any nice drinks or cocktails. The only suggestion we got was to go out and look for other options. read more

I loved this hotel. The lobby bar opened in the evening. The bartender was friendly and knew his cocktails. It attracted a few locals as the evening wore on. I loved the modern aesthetic. It's a great place to start and end and evening out. read more

I went here with part of a small group for an after work drinks and nibbles event on a Monday evening at around 5.30 pm. We were told by the bar manager that the kitchen was closed because there was another small private event. The strange thing was that the private event was just having a cheese and fruit board which was already ready, so not sure why they needed to close the kitchen. I would expect more of a place like this being able to deal with more than one small group. The atmosphere of the place is hotel lobby style so nothing too fancy. There are better places in Sarasota. Kinda underwhelming. But the drinks were good and we did have a good time. read more

First off let me start by saying I don't recommend eating or drinking at this bar. It's beautiful on the outside, has great drinks, but not so great service or food. My group of girl friends and I stayed at this hotel for a bachelorette party and decided to grab appetizers and drinks here. We were drawn in by the aesthetics, the dj, and overall atmosphere. My friend ordered cheese fries and couldn't even eat them they were so bad. The nacho cheese drenched the fries, which had no flavor. We also ordered other appetizers which were ok but nothing special or worth ordering again. Just basic frozen and low quality bar food! The blue bramble drink was great but we could barely enjoy drinking our cocktails.. A group of guys, supposed firefighters, and one in particular, was way over served and wasted. He was yelling at other bar guests, making obscene and vulgar gestures/remarks, and kept coming over to bother us. We politely told him we weren't interested but he continued to harass us until one of the girls in our party had to tell him off. Yet he CONTINUED to return. Finally a guy in his own party came to apologize/remove him and then proceeded to hit on us to. Did the bartenders or staff step in at all or cut him off? Not once. We had to take matters into our own hands before leaving. They continued to serve him and ignored the situation. The wasted "firefighters" even mentioned wanting to meet up with us later plus asking where we were going, and honestly I felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable. This bar should have cut him off, called him a cab or called the cops. I really hope this guy didn't cause harm to himself or anyone else that night. Needless to say, I'll never come back to this bar again. read more

The bar menu food is all microwaved. The bartender was wonderful about recommending the best choice. I had the chicken BBQ pizza. It was ok. It filled the void. I was exhausted or I would have gone to one of the many restaurants close by. read more

This is a fun little bar inside the Aloft hotel. Martin is very friendly and doesn't have a problem pouring drinks a little stiff. The Decour inside is really nice. There's also a pool table and a live performer was packing up as we arrived so indicating they have live music. This particular place reminds me of a watered down W hotel. Think about buying a home in expensive neighborhood and decorating it from Target. That's kind of a fill the place. Still it's neat, clean, and safe. I guess it's the W hotel for the millennial generation. Nonetheless, it's a good experience. read more

I think the drinks are really good here. The food is a little lacking though. I enjoyed more than one bramble there, one of the better brambles I've had. The bartenders were really nice and accommodating, and the atmosphere was great. Very aesthetic. We ordered several things off the food menu and honestly nothing really stood out. I stayed at aloft for two days and the best part about my stay would have to be this bar. The bartenders were super friendly! The bar seemed to have a good crowd around it at night even on Tuesday/Wednesday night. While waiting on friends i got a small snack the bartender recommended the Mac-n-cheese bites... Amazing made with pepper jack cheese fell in love! I can't really remember all the names of the drinks i tried but they were all good and unique. Not just your typical type of drink.
