Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain.

One thing I would ask for safety and sanitation purposes is that gloves and washing your hands be used or done always when handling hardware that is going straight into the patient's mouth. I seen someone blow their nose and did not wash their hands. Even though they put the gloves on, they touched them with their dirty hands. There is also a staff member who touches the hardware without gloves. This incident occurred twice. I've seen all, but this one staff member, change their gloves often. This is not for staff reprimand or bad review, just a reminder that clients are observant. Besides, the mentioned, you have great staff and doctors in this place who care for their patients. The staff--both front desk and clinical--are professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly. Communication is clear, and everything is handled smoothly from check-in to treatment. The clinic itself is modern, clean, and well-equipped. The setup is thoughtful, with TVs positioned in front of you while seated and even one above when you're lying down, which makes visits more comfortable. Location is also convenient, right across Serramonte Center, with its own parking lot--easy access every time. I've stayed with them even after becoming out-of-network due to a change in insurance. Walking in, the staff already knew me from my son--which made it feel familiar and welcoming. I even joked, "Well... now it's my turn." And honestly? I had fun. First up was Lorna, the appointment coordinator. She's warm, spunky, and has that perfect mix of motherly energy and BFF vibes. She even tried to line up my future appointments with my son's so I wouldn't have to make an extra trip--A+ mom support right there. Then there were Jaime and Cheryl, the dental assistants who took all the photos of my mouth. They explained everything they were doing while I was reclined (with approximately 97 instruments in my mouth ), and they made the whole process super comfortable and easy. Dr. Park went over my photos and X-rays from my previous visits with Dr. Belluomini and really took his time explaining the different treatment options. He walked me through possible scenarios, answered all my questions, and even shared his honest opinion when I couldn't decide--without pressure. She explained all the Invisalign options clearly and even said she'd double-check with my insurance since coverage might be tricky. I made a few jokes about manifesting coverage, and we had a good laugh. He's quick about getting to the point and tailored the treatment to what you need. He excepts Delta Dental PPO only so please make sure that you have appropriate coverage if you want to see him. He will walk you through the breakdown of the treatment plan and what's included. Plus, he's pretty old school so you'll have to do your part in digitizing your own receipts and what you signed up for. My plan broke down to $65/ month over two years and this includes free retainer after I'm out of braces. Dr. Quock is pretty straightforward when it comes to the do's and don'ts regarding your ortho treatment. If you got vacation or big trip coming up, please let him know and he will be more than happy to adjust accordingly. I often tell him ahead of time whenever I have a trip coming up and often tell him "please don't hurt me! I'm going away and there is delicious food I am going to eat!" He's often more than happy to help me out. Plus, if you ever broke a bracket or needed adjustments in between appointments, you can simply call and he always will try to squeeze you in. But do be warn that lost bracket means additional charge so please never lost the bracket you broke! Overall, it's not a bad ortho place for the price point. However, the decor is vintage but if you are into that, then you'll like it!

He then stated that he'd have it sent to my regular dentist so that his recommendations could be evaluated and followed. UNFORTUNATLY, this never happened, whether because of staff fumbling the ball or Dr Quock not providing the information to staff. I've made repeated requests to no avail and now he's retiring and I'm told that I'm "on a list" for follow up even though there is no guarantee that the practice will even exist past this month. HORRIBLE FOLLOW THROUGH and it's a shame that this will follow Dr. Quock's good name into retirement. If this is resolved I will edit this review, otherwise it stands as a true record.

So whenever I see a new dentist or have an appointment with my orthodontist, my stomach starts to turn. A lot of it definitely has to do with the environment and the people who work there. If a dental assistant or anyone in the he team doesn't work even a little bit to make a patient comfortable or relaxed, you've already set yourself up for failure. Thankfully, the workers at this office are amazing! Continuously going above and beyond their job description to help out their clients and random callers (ie. me). I called one day in sheer panic due to my regular orthodontist being out of the country on vacation for over a month, which didn't include the closed office due to the company moving buildings - and was offered the sweetest help. The young lady who answered the phone, assured me that her boss couldn't definitely help with my situation. I was in sheer panic as my retainers were causing me so much discomfort, I would literally sit up in bed and cry from the pain. The worker told me that her boss could actually adjust my retainers. This was probably the biggest sigh of relief. Maybe I could finally get a good night's sleep without pain or waking up crying. However, I was a little skeptical to bring my retainers in -I had to explain how my orthodontist actually didn't give me a case for my retainer and how one of her workers casually handed me a denture case. With a little "oh no," she was so sweet, laughing and really put me at ease. She assured me that she could get me a case for my retainers that wasn't as big and bulky as a denture case. This is the kind of customer service people need! I'm not even a regular customer, but I tell everyone I know to come here!

When I was a kid, I remember them having a wall with pictures of kids after their braces had been taken off. Being the impatient kid I was, that always served as some sort of encouragement to me that I wouldn't have my braces on forever. Years have passed and I still get compliments on my straight teeth and my mom always says, "You should thank Dr. Jang". So thank you, Dr. Jang, you're one of the best out there!
