I am writing this review after a year of not going to this office. I started off with good experiences with this dental office. Front desk was friendly, the dental office/equipment looked modern, and the dentists were efficient. Each procedure was explained and front desk helped with scheduling and often notifying for upcoming appointments. So the reason why I stopped going... I had a filling redone due to it coming off. However, I had pain around the same tooth for months. I couldn't eat on that side at all. I went back in for checkups to see if they can figure out what's going on. The head dentist told me to consider getting a crown since there seems to be a cracking on the tooth. They offered to cover the costs however I thought it was a bit extreme to get a crown from a routine filling. Over the next couple months, I would go back multiple times since the pain didn't go away. This included shaving part of the filling, redoing the filling, and trying to figure out my bite. And the final time I went there for a checkup, I was just told it could just be a neurological thing and almost made it sound like it was my fault and they can't do anything about it. The only reason why I kept going back was to give them the opportunity to fix what they had messed up. I ended up looking for another dentist and I told them my issue. They were able to figure what was wrong, and redid my filling. Now I have no pain. read more

My husband and I both had our first appointment here and had a phenomenal experience. The office staff is very helpful before you even step foot in the door. They were able to help coordinate getting our X-rays from our prior office so that we did not have to take new X-rays. The hygienist was absolutely great and easy to work with. My husband and I both had the same dentist and absolutely loved him! He did the cleaning himself which was great and very thorough. He also did not try to upsell any cosmetic options which was refreshing. Straight to the point and overall fantastic experience! Hands down my best dental experience - Highly recommend! read more

I was super impressed with this dental office. It's so professional and everyone was so friendly. During my exam we discovered a crack in my filling, they took pictures and checked in on cost with my insurance before proceeding to filling it. Love this location in Serramonte with ample parking. My husband, son and I have been coming to Dr. Tang's office for a few years now. Front desk staff is very friendly, appointment reminders sent via text and call. All the dentists are knowledgeable and thorough, appointments are on time with no long waits. Office is clean and modern, newly renovated. Cleaning Technology/xray is up to date, makes the experience very comfortable and enjoyable. They have TVs for entertainment, provide shades for the bright lights during cleanings. Highly recommend! If you don't have insurance, they have an in house program that is reasonably priced for teeth cleanings and discounted treatments. read more

What in the actual dentistry hell happened here?! Post-Covid, this place sadly took a turn for the worse. The attention to detail, customer service, & just overall experience fell to an all-time low. It's one thing to make small errors, but it's been consistently bad every visit since the pandemic. Here are a few examples. They changed my Saturday appt which took forever to make, without notifying me. How did I find out, you wonder? They called to remind me of this new appt date and time that I did not make, change, or agree to! Then said either I go or it's going to be a while for a slot to open up. Wow... But here's the kicker. My husband needed work done on his tooth. After consulting with one dentist, we were quoted a whopping $700++ (and we're both fully insured). I know it's based on our coverage but that shocked me. But...it gets worse. After agreeing to that absurd cost, making an appt, scheduling time off, rearranging our lives to cover this ridiculous tooth bill, a few days later, they called and said... "Oh it's not $700 anymore. It's an alarming $1200?!" The dentist Gods are against us! Then when we asked why, we were told because another dentist said so (a dentist that didn't examine him...). I need to breathe and reboot. This is nearly double the cost and that cost was already high af. We obviously didn't agree to it and went to another dentist who explained thoroughly and charged fairly. Still boggles my mind how a 5-star rating dropped to barely a star, but it is what it is and we will not give it another chance. We suggest you don't either. read more

There's two things I hate about dentists. One is when they try to talk to you while having basically their entire fist in your mouth. The other is when they shame you for your bad teeth. Dr. Chung was the opposite of this. She just came over, fixed my teeth, then told me I should floss more and off I go. No annoying small talk. No making me feel bad about my choices. She was quick, focused, and efficient, and honestly that's what I need from a dentist. read more

Dr. Tang runs a tight ship! This is a great dental office for any person who is a nervious patient. The experience starts with the front office staff - all of them are excellent and patient. They know there stuff regarding insurance. Everytime I arrive, I am seen quickly. This is an efficient office. They take lots of pictures to document your progress (or in my case, degredation). Dr. Tang has a super soft touch. He says what he is doing as he does it. This brings a lot of comfort. read more

Several years ago, I found Dr. Tang's office & I have been coming in regularly for my cleanings since. Dr. Tang and his team are great. The front desk staff is very welcoming. The office sends text and also calls for appointment reminders. The space is exceptionally clean and well ventilated. Not very long wait time if you schedule an appointment when they open. In a few past visits, there were slight delays with patients later in the day - so I would recommend an early morning appointment. read more

I started going to Dr. Tnag's office early this year because of many old implant problems (some were done over 10 years ago). Dr. Tang patiently resolved all the problems with new equipment and technology. Just recently, since I must get clearance from the dental office in order to proceed with the two spine procedures. There are conflicts between spine procedure and dental procedure. Dr. Tang worked with the spine surgeon closely to get the best solution for me. "Thank You" is not enough to show my appreciation. Office staff are warm and efficient. The environment is clean and comfortable. This office is in Daly City but very close to San Francisco. My previous dentist left the practice he was an associate at, opened his own practice, and is considered out of network for my insurance. *sad face* with that, I needed to find another dentist. Making the appointment was so easy and the front desk staff always kept in contact with me if they had inquiries regarding my insurance. I was seen within 5 days of calling to make an appointment! I was met by the lovely assistant Gina, who is great. She made sure that I was comfortable at all times, we had a great conversation, and overall she was super nice and patient with me. Then in comes Dr. Cai - he introduced himself, and asked if I had any concerns. He went over my x-rays with me and answered all my questions. My cleaning was so good! I love a dentist who is super thorough and just gets in there to do a top notch cleaning, and Dr. Cai did just that and Gina was thorough with her polishing! I left the room feeling clean and refreshed. Checking out with Caye was so great, she was super personable and we laughed and had a great conversation! It's not often that I can say I've walked out of a dentist's office thinking to myself - "why, what a pleasant experience." From end to end, I was happy with everything. Booking an appointment was easy - the person on the phone was able to easily find me an opening to accommodate my schedule. Although the office is attached to Serramonte mall, it has its own entrance out front which is easily accessible from the parking lot. Upon walking in, you enter a modernly decorated lobby with a few spaced out seating arrangements. The front desk will provide clean pens for you to fill out your paperwork and there are several hand sanitizer bottles available for your usage. I waited about 15 minutes or so before I was called into a room to get prepped by the dental assistant. The first thing they had me do was to swish my mouth out with listerine, which I really liked. It helps me to freshen up before I have a bunch of people inspecting the inside of my mouth. The chairs are plush and comfy are are MASSAGE chairs - amazing! There is a TV in each room and you can choose what channel you'd like to put on. I had doctor Annie during my cleaning - she was super personable and did a great job at cleaning my teeth. Quick, thorough, and with a light touch - that's a great combo for a dentist. After she was done with my cleaning, the dental assistant stepped back in to do a polish and floss. She then gave me a goodie bag filled with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss and sent me on my way. From start to finish, everyone I interacted with was friendly and had great bedside manner. The cleaning itself also met my expectations perfectly. I think I found my new dentist office! read more
