If the students take a lunch break they deduct time from these students for going to eat but sit at their desks and munch away . This school is filled with rude, disrespectful, bad built teachers and staff that think they are "helping" the students when in reality they are making it worse. They are not organized with anything AT ALL, don't tell students about schedules, events, or anything important. Give information LAST MINUTE and then tell you "oh well nothing i can do" when it's genuinely their fault.They are setting these students up for failure, this school SUCKS the teachers are creeps and love kids do NOT come here. They gave these students hours A WEEK before FINALS and expected them to make them all up by the end of that week when most students had like 30+ hours to make up.. that's unrealistic especially for the students who have JOBS and finals to do. They are trying to hold students back from graduating with their classmates in June and telling these students who got the hours "oh you can always graduate in August" who wants to do that? No one. This is insane and unbelievable, you guys suck and need to do better. Organize better and communicate better. These staff members don't think about the students they only think about themselves and what they want to stuff their faces with for lunch. This year (2024) has been the WORST year for Klein Oak and klein isd period. I came to klein because my mom's friend told her that klein schools were great!! klein schools suck. they say they have a great education system, okay yeah maybe for some kids but most kids can't even tell the difference between a state and a country.That same friend has recently took her kid out of the district because of the RACISM , not only from the students but from the STAFF too. This school and every other school in the klein district stinks (literally stinks). This school NEEDS TO DO BETTER. They only care about the schools rating and ranking, they care more about your damn attendance than anything and if your child has had no problems with anything at this school it's probably because they don't speak to anyone and are a teachers pet. This school looks like a top rated school on the outside but on the inside, it's not as good as it…read moreseems, there are rats and ants and rodents in the building, and during lunch in the canteen you have to hear some admin yell into the microphone telling kids something like 'please sit down' or 'on the left side we have spicy chicken sandwich, tacos, and hot dog! and on the right side we have sloppy Joe, tacos, and pizza!' or 'in 10 minutes we're going to start cleaning up' and it's loud and annoying, and last year I thought 5 minutes passing period was tight, now they made it 4 minutes because they thought kids were talking in the halls not getting to their classes, and 3 minutes to get from P4/R8 to Homeroom is absolutely crazy, they're not considering the fact that I have to run up the stairs from room 141 to 311 and use the third floor toilet on the way and many kids have to go from the outside to floor 3 and teachers act like it's easy for kids to get from P4/R8 to homeroom when in fact it's very tight and after the homeroom bell I see so many kids still in the hallways, I am almost late on R days, in the toilets I see many kids doing weird things like starting 'diddy' parties and doing fights and getting on their phones, there is usually pee on the ground, and the floor 2 toilets are usually closed, also Ms Blossom (7th grade history teacher) apparently bullies kids according to other reviews on Lanier Middle School (HISD), I never had her but I know she treats kids like they're in juvenile detention, but I had a teacher named Ms Ward last year, most of the times she yelled at kids at 1000% volume for the silliest things like one kid got an answer wrong, or you put work in the wrong bin, and also this year 2026-2027 there are much more homework given to you than last year, the north and south patios stopped opening up, which makes the canteen and chess patio so much crowded, and I can't even find a place to sit, the chess patio lady told me not to sit on a box but I had no table to sit to so I decided to sit on a box, many fights happen almost daily, and admin just favour the bad kids because they look innocent, then punish the ones who only broke one rule, and the leadership selection system is bad as well, I saw the girls who broke many rules like eating in class, using phone before 16:00, and more, but they still got selected to be a leader, while I don't break any rules and I was rejected, and at the end of the day when people are hanging out at the front entrance, there is one person yelling into the megaphone telling kids to go home, well I have seen some decent teachers, many of them quit, like Mr Wynn, he was a decent/good teacher I had for 6th grade science 2 years ago but he quit when I entered 7th grade. And I see many kids dating in the school as well, A few months ago I saw 2 kids kissing, and for 2025-2026 year the admins at Lanier said 'whatever day it wasn't tomorrow it will be, so if it's a purple day today, it will be red day tomorrow, and vice versa' but one day school was out unexpectedly, and the next day I brought my supplies for a red day but they told me to go to P1, not R1. Afternoon pups party doesn't work like you think, most of them they're like 'oh yeah we're going to have some food and then watch a movie and music and activities', but most of the time you only eat and don't do activities or music or movie, and you eat you have to clean the classroom then get ready to go because apparently the last 20 minutes of pups you have to clean up, so it only leaves 20 minutes of pups party (well now pups is 45 minutes), and floors 1 and 2 had one way hallways, which kind of didn't make sense because floor 3 you walk on the right side, so why not for floors 1 and 2 you make it walk on the right side because that will reduce the risk of being late. Parents, think twice before sending your kids to this school, so many rodents and dust and mold growing in classrooms and the Air Conditioning breaks during summer/spring and heater breaks during fall/winter, and no soap or towels in the toilets. Please don't go here if you don't want to suffer.

I'm a former student that transferred in during my junior year and have witnessed and experienced…read morenumerous alarming situations. I struggled with transferring credits, and my grades slipped as I could not catch up despite asking for help and going to tutorials. As I was playing catch up, completely overwhelmed, the college counselor disregarded me and told me maybe college just isn't for me, and wouldn't help me. My mom is from Germany and my dad went into the army at 17 so neither were able to help me, so it was detrimental when I didn't receive actual counsel from my school. I was personally bullied by the MCJROTC teacher due to being the child of an army vet. The teacher told my mom that maybe if she'd buy her lunch, I'd get more benefits in class, at which point I was removed from JROTC. And even more alarmingly, there have been sexual assaults throughout the years, including last year, that the school has relentlessly swept under the rug. This being actual rapes that are not being pursued with legal action by campus police, but rather victim blaming after full blown rape, and simple 3 day suspension of the rapist being the only action taken. This is not the only time this has happened and there have been numerous teachers throughout this district that have had relations with minors. I am appalled by the schools actions in academics, student/teacher and student/student interaction, and even legal situations like the rape of a special needs student. Something has to change, this is not a safe place for learning or even being.
