When we enrolled our child, we were assured FINS would be patient, flexible and accommodating. Unfortunately this turned out to be false. At the first sign of discomfort during one of his sessions, something not uncommon for children with sensory or developmental challenges, FINS made the decision to remove him from the program entirely. We had accrued 13 make up sessions to this point and were told we could do the make up sessions during the daytime slots. But when we tried to take them up on that offer, that option was suddenly unavailable. No warnings. No make up sessions. No partial refund. No support. FINS presented itself as inclusive and understanding, but when it truly mattered they turned their back on a child who just needed some extra support. This was not just poor communication - it felt like a complete disregard for a vulnerable student and their family. To any parent considering FINS, especially those with children of special needs, think twice. This experience was not only frustrating. It was deeply hurtful. We expected compassion. Instead what we got was a business decision and this place is purely in it for the money. Our child deserves better.

We had Coach Sydney maybe once and she was so sweet and kind! We've had Coach Helena every time after that! Coach Helena is the sweetest, most caring, kind, professional, motivating, fun instructor I've ever met! My daughter is extremely timid, but looks forward to seeing and learning from Coach Helena weekly! She's been going to ballet far longer than swim lessons, yet she is much more comfortable with swim and much more comfortable with Coach Helena than with any other adult (that's not immediate family). My 9 years old girl said she was okay with swimming in small pool, not big pool I talked to her instructor a couple time; they said no, she could swim. And yet, we took her to public swimming pool for 5ft deep; she got scared. Not sure what she has been learning there; so we decided to move her to a different school. We gave them 30 days notice, I spoke with the staff whether we could still do make-up classes after that day. They said fine, those are your classes, you can still take them. The reason I asked for make-up classes because we have like 12 classes when she was out due to medical and vacation. Today I checked to schedule her make up classes and can't. Called and talked to the staff, they said I had to pay $20 to take make up classes. I was like the staff I spoke last time didn't say that; she said I must have talked to a TRAINEE, and that person gave wrong info. OMG! I didn't mean to write a review about my daughter's progress; because every kid is different. But to pay taking make-up classes make no sense to me. We paid when we were out, they promised to honor make-up classes. Then they don't.

We had stopped swimming lessons and between year 5 and 6 he forgot that he knew how to swim! So he's been terrified to swim ever since. We started swim lessons again this year, he's 7 now, and it's taken so much patience on their part, and sooo many months because of his extreme anxiety about it, but he's finally excited to go to swim lessons! Hire professional instructors, took my daughter here few years ago and there's this one girl…read moreinstructor who lifted my daughter a bit out of the water to show her to another instructor she was talking too and said shit and started laughing and mocking my daughter while she was clearly upset and scared while she was in the water and she did that while I was watching through the glass, I waited for them to finish and complained and emailed their District Director Liz and they watched the video of the incident and proved that I wasn't making up stories, they tried to offer free classes but I pulled my daughter out of there. There's no way I would take her back there after what they did & the audacity to still charge us monthly fees for another month or two was not even surprising anymore.
