    Shady ticket

Super Bowl watch party rip off! We claimed tickets that said 'free entry before 3:30. Arrived before 3:00. Waited in line, then they demanded $20/ea at the door. They pre-sold every table and chair. Standing room only. They took our money & had us come in even after I had asked about seating! We couldn't get food, there was nowhere to eat it if we had. And the audio was not working at all well into the first quarter when we left. I asked for a refund. Of course I didn't get one. This event was poorly advertised, and potentially on purpose to take advantage of people. We won't be back. I wish I could give --5 stars Beware!!!

For my 28th birthday I stopped by and purchased three drinks: a tequila soda, margarita, and Moscow mule. All well, no special modifications. Luckily my bank suspected fraud and declined the charge that was $214!! Three drinks..$200+ DO THE MATH. Mayes oyster house count your days! Karma is coming!

Came here for an event on a Sunday night, my friends were hosting an event with music and vendors. Very close off Polk, easier to park on the cross streets but there is a parking lot across the street. Full service bar, plenty of areas to sit inside and there is an outside area for food vendors, if you're having an event. Nice space and stage area, friendly staff! I didn't see their actual menu or kitchen but since it was an event, only the bar was open.

Cold beer and great service!! It was a Brazilian party, so I enjoyed the music and the public! Price is ok, lile many other pubs in town!

I would never do it any other way because the caviar with banana bread especially was so worth it. the chocolate-less banana bread slices were pan fried so the outside was crispy while the inside was still soft and the flavor combination with the caviar and whipped miso butter was perfect. the croquettes were also stand outs among the appetizers. the flavor of the croquette with the hibachi mustard was mind blowing, especially for our party since we normally don't like croquettes. I also liked the seasoned potato chips with plenty of dip (I very much appreciate that you can indulge as much as you'd like!) and beef tartare with ikura that you could make into hand rolls. the oysters also had a nice balance of flavors! we then moved on to the second part of the meal which included short rib, fried rice with Thai basil, hamachi collar, and dumplings. The short rib with caramelized onions was the star of the show: melt in your mouth with an indescribably delicious flavor. they also brought out figs paired with creamy burrata and a crunch from the hazelnut to go with their fluffy milk bread! at the end of the meal they gave us a soft serve, basque cheesecake, and peach jasmine kakigori shaved ice with tapioca pearls! they poured melted chocolate over the top of the soft serve at the table which is so fun and it hardened into a delicious shell the amount of food we got was incredibly generous and I felt treated so well for my birthday! overall, Ernest blew me away with their great service and beautiful ambiance. you can tell that each dish was carefully crafted and so much thought was put into the flavor and texture combinations as well as presentation. I could not recommend this place more and I can't wait until the next time I'm back!

Service landed right in the middle, nothing terrible yet nothing particularly attentive. The dining room gets quite noisy, so conversation can be a challenge. Would come back for drinks and small bites, but not rushing for a full dinner.

I loved the decor all around the restaurant with adorable cow art and a very clean feel. The servers and hosts were coming over to chat with us and just made us feel so welcome and special. From the second you walk in until the second you leave you are in good hands. It's also right across from the train so it's super easy to get there! I don't normally like horseradish, but the burger came with the perfect amount of horseradish where it tasted very fresh and added a good burst of flavor without being overwhelming! The fries were delicious and crispy. 10 out of 10 food, service, and environment. I would give them more stars if I could.

A charming little bistro inspired by the Marlowe cows, I'm assuming, managed to stun us with several memorable dishes. The warm deviled eggs were an excellent start. Savory yet delicate enough to not weigh us down right at the beginning of our meal. The horseradish aioli wasn't for me, but I can see its appeal for a certain audience. You give me a Calabrian chili sauce and it's guaranteed to make me happy and this shrimp with sweet corn was no exception. Again, light but a punchy flavor that was enjoyable. I could go on and on about the different dishes we tried but the real standout of the night was the pork tenderloin with chorizo and peaches. The sweetness from the peaches somehow managed to enhance the flavor of the chorizo. This dish gives you a bold, savory and sweet bite all together but still won't have you feeling super heavy. The portion size is perfect. Im hoping to return soon for another exquisite meal.

From now until October, Timbri Hotel's rooftop bar: Rise Over Run is hosting R&B Wednesdays. Rezzies are highly recommended. Book a table at the garden patio - IMO, it's the best seats in the house. Ok, yea it's in the TL right off 6th/Market....not in the nicest area. IMO, the TL is not as bad as some make it to be. The miso's umami didn't come through so it was a bit bland. * Smoked Salmon Rillettes w/ dill, chives, pita ($12) Umm, I'm all for negative space but could they not find a smaller bowl so the rillette doesn't look half eaten? Lol! That aside, this was BOMB! The pita tasted housemade - served piping hot and perfectly chewy with a soft, fluffy interior. Slathered with the rich, creamy smoked salmon spread...it was so delicious. * Fries ($9) Can't go wrong with a huge platter of hot McD type fries. S E R V I C E Welp, this would have been a 5 star review but someone killed the vibes. Most of the staff was friendly, and our server was excellent - very attentive and efficient with drinks and apps arriving quickly. Unfortunately, as we were on our last round of drinks (I had a full cocktail left), a male staff came over and told us they need the table back in 10 minutes, and our server immediately brought the check. I was confused esp since there were two empty tables nearby and he didn't approach the other table that was seated around the same time as us. I later found the fine print on my rezzies about the 2-hour table max which wasn't mentioned when we were seated. Regardless, we still had about 30 mins left. Afterwards, I spoke with Mia at the hotel's front desk. She was very apologetic, looked into the situation right away, and kindly offered a round of drinks on our next visit. A M B I A N C E Chic and trendy with a cute glass-enclosed solarium, and sweeping views of DT and the city's skylines. Mix of tables and lounge areas with firepits and heat lamps (it's windy tho!). Clean restrooms. It was great seeing a diverse crowd for the R&B event...a refreshing change from the usual AI/Tech Bro scene in the city. P A R K I N G Limited street parking (we found parking around the corner before 5 pm). Valet is $80. Overall, we had a great time at R&B Wednesday, and I thought the prices were fair for solid apps and drinks...for a rooftop bar. It was disappointing that our evening was cut short tho. Would love to return before it's over in October but that interaction left a bad impression.

I will say that this place is absolutely stunning and beautiful compared to a lot of others San Francisco rooftops that I have visited. This is located into the tenderloin, so please be aware that you will have to find your own street parking but parking a garage is preferred. This place has stunning views nonetheless, it's very chill and in a relaxing setting. The music is not overpowering, which is nice enough to have a conversation without having it overly crowded with 50 other people around you. I've definitely been back here a few times to take other friends and family and I will continue to do so. There are also heaters outside when it's very cold, chilly and windy. The staff is amazing as they are also willing to accommodate you and give you blankets if needed. Can't wait to go back!

I drove all the way here for the main pizzas/pastas for my birthday, but we were only limited to breakfast food and burgers on a weekend afternoon. Also, I understand that weekends get busy, but our server did not check on us at least once. They were only present to take our orders and then drop off the check. As a former server myself, I am very aware of these things. It appeared that there was some down time to check on a simple 2-top as she was walking up and down scanning the tables. I can say that this is not reflective of the previous times I've dined here as the service has always been very pleasant, and the food never disappoints. For minimum $20 per entree, you would expect the servers to check-in on how the table finds their food and whether or not there is something they can provide to make it better.
