Curry me green (tickle me pink ‍) First time trying this local spot. I did order through delivery service due to working late. Chose the Green Curry instead of tradition Chinese food. Delish! Full of flavour and veggies just as I like. I also got the Fried Spring rolls. Rangoon is a pass for me as they were cooked well done. I've been out of the country for a while in a place that does not have good Chinese food, so my opinion might be a little skewed. But I liked this place. It's not the best Chinese I've ever had, but everything was tasty. I ordered online for delivery through Beyond Menu. It was easy to order, but the descriptions on some items are missing like the Pu-pu platter. So I just ordered the things I knew or that had description. Also I didn't see anything about sweet and sour sauce with the appetizers so I ordered an extra for $1.00 just in case. So glad I did! It was the only one in the order!! It took about an hour to arrive, but I'm about 15-20 minutes away and it was right at dinner time. The driver was very polite. The food was hot and freshly made, and the drinks were nice and cold. Here's what all we ordered: Eggrolls - 4/5 good enough...crispy outside, decent flavor, and not greasy. Spring Rolls - 3/5 crispy outside, decent flavor, but the inside was a little mushy. Crab Rangoons - 5/5 - crispy, not greasy, great flavor. Beef and broccoli - 4/5 - decent flavor, perfectly cooked, tender-crisp broccoli, nice ratio of meat to veggies and good sauce. Dragon & Phoenix - 3/5 - good flavor, but it was basically sweet and sour. It was not hot at all. I even ordered hot and wrote in the notes "extra hot!!", but typical to American Chinese, it wasn't spicy at all. The meat to veggie ratio was ok, but the breading was mushy and not crisp and all. Fried rice - 4/5 - the fried rice was $1.00 more. I prefer white rice with my food, but I still tried it. It was very good. Hey!! Just realized I didn't get a fortune cookie!!! How disappointing. There was a virtual one when I finished my order in the app...I hope they don't think that is an adequate substitute. :/ So overall, I would order them again. So I wasn't too sure about whether to order food from here based on the lack of numerous reviews. But, I just drove 10 hours, and this was one of the few places that offered free delivery and was close to my hotel. Now, I ordered the food on the Beyond Menu app but had to make a quick change and called the restaurant. I can see why the reviewer that gave this place one star was upset with the customer service. The lady answering the phone did not seem very polite based on the tone of voice, but I was okay with her since mine wasn't a big change. As for the food, it was delivered fairly quickly since the hotel was less than a mile away from the restaurant. I ordered sesame chicken, crab rangoons, and beef chow mein fun. First, the portions are big and the price is fairly cheap. Second, the sesame chicken was not bad but it could have been better. The sauce is quite similarly to a sweet and sour and there was no crispyness to it. The beef chow fun was not bad. The chow fun was made with rice noodles (not the flat ones). If I could give 3.5 stars I would but I can't and I don't want to underrate. I've had food from here twice the first time I had vegetable lo mein and spring rolls the Lo mein was delicious, the spring rolls on the other hand were a bit soggy and lacked in flavor. The second time which I'm currently eating I ordered Egg drop soup and I decided to try spring rolls again because I love them. the egg drop soup of thick, rich and pretty good. I submitted an online delivery order, and within a few minutes they called back saying since I lived 11 miles away that I would've had to have spent 30$ on food prior to the subtotal, with tax added to my order I would've been over 30$. I put an order in for a total (with delivery and tip) for $24.52 at 5:23 p.m. Apparently, I missed a called from them 3 minutes later. I called the unknown number at 5:39 and there was no answer. We waited until 6:42 p.m. before calling Mayflower to give them time to make the food and deliver. When I called, some young, arrogant female answered the phone and I explained that I was checking the status of my food. She said in the background yelling, "Oh this guy.....yeah its this guy..." and she mentioned that she tried calling me to let me know that I had to order $30 minimum if its over 9 miles. I said, "Let me check with my wife." and my wife said, just order double everything. I told the girl, "I'll take double my order." After we were off the phone, I went to check google maps and it said that I was 8.7 miles away. I called back to let her know that and she said its 9.3 miles away. I said that I can screenshot google maps and she said with an attitude, "Well...I can screenshot what I have and send it to you..." We were really hungry since we waited over 1 hour with no apology and lots of attitude from this amateur employee that I decided to cancel my order and take my business elsewhere. I told her that I did not appreciate her saying that she will screenshot her phone to show me that it was 9.3 miles and she said that she didn't appreciate me saying that to her in the first place. I told her that she does not know anything about customer service and hung up the phone on her. They will NEVER have my business again!
