    016. Orange Chicken (Lunch Only)
    Allison P.

I ordered the oishii roll and rockin rolla, and boo ordered the orange chicken lunch special. The service was great and the food was amazing. Definitely satisfied my sushi craving! The sushi rolls were quite hefty for the affordable price :) I saw 4 other rolls I want to try in the future, so we will be back!

We ordered Togo, the business was efficient & quick. However, the food was just lacking a little bit to me... I hear good things about this place all the time, even I have been here & enjoyed it. I may just be partial to my favorite place that's closed today... Lol. Nothing was terrible, but just not my fav. The spring rolls were mushy inside, the rice was under fried, the chicken and broccoli brown sauce just lacked flavor in my opinion & the pan fried dumplings were crunchy & nothing like a squishy dumpling :( But it was edible.

    013. Jalapeno Chicken (Lunch Only) with steamed rice

Got the jalapeño chicken and enjoyed it. It was my first time here, so I didn't quite know what to expect. There is a ton of onions...great if that's your thing, and I do love onions but there were more onions than jalapeño & chicken...too much for me.

I was very pleased with my visit to Cheng's Garden today. The establishment was very clean and welcoming. We were seated promptly. I was excited to try a few sushi rolls since I have had any in about a year due to Covid. Speaking of Covid, some patrons tried to enter with no masks but were reminded that masks were needed in order to come inside. Our rolls were perfect! I especially tried those that had ingredients that I wouldn't normally find in my area of LA such as the rolls with crawfish. Whenever I'm back in Shreveport, I'll visit again.

Excellent sushi roll and egg drop soup, requested extra ginger and Wasabi as I don't like running out and my waiter supplied it with no issues and quickly. Had an excellent margarita and the waiter checked on me often and was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very clean and well decorated. The bathroom was also very clean and in good condition something that has sadly been lacking at most of the other restaurants I have been to lately. Reminds me of the Chinese restaurants that I used to go to in Texas before moving back here

    Avocado Vegetarian Sushi Rolls

We were pleasantly surprised to find Chinese cuisine that is vegetarian friendly in middle of Shreveport. They were very accommodating to customize to our vegetarian dietary needs replacing meat with Tofu. My friends who tried Kungpao Tofu liked it better than chicken kungpao. I may have to make special trips to Shreveport to eat at this place. Their service is also fantastic. I wish there are similar Chinese restaurants in Dallas area. My friends who eat meat (Chicken) also live this place. Best underrated Chinese restaurant that one should definitely try when in Shreveport. Ambience is authentic Chinese but tastefully decorated. Very neatly kept place. One won't be disappointed.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is. I wish I could give more than 5 stars Bc this place deserves to be packed the entire day. We were driving on our way to Florida and decided to stop for some Chinese food (and the fact that it includes sushi is a plus). Service: amazing service. The waiter came over the second we sat with some water. They brought our appetizer out first and then asked us if we wanted our sushi together with the Chinese food. Places never do this!!!!! It was amazing!!! Food: I died. This place literally had the best sushi rolls I have ever had (and I have sushi quite often). It was better than some 5 star restaurants we have been to. We went for the two normal rolls: Philadelphia and combination roll. And words cannot possibly describe how happy we were. We also ordered the combination chow fun - which is like the ho fun and it was soooooo good!!! Better than Chinese places we have been to in the UK (which has a huge Chinese culture, surprisingly). We also ordered the egg drop soup - which was also the best egg drop soup I have ever had. The sake was also only 4 bucks Bc of the happy hour, which they have everyday. Everything came out to 40 bucks. Sooooo cheap!!!!! My only sad thought is that this restaurant is far away from Florida so I can't visit it often. But honestly - this place was beyond words!!! Thank you!!!!

I'm extremely underwhelmed. First of all, as soon as I received my roll I smelled a slight fishy smell. In general, salmon, ahi tuna and whitefish have no smell. Taste wise it was alright. Nothing too fishy, but not super high standard either. I just expect more. Maybe I'm too picky. But even my fortune cookie (yes a sushi restaurant with a fortune committed is weird but they do serve Chinese) but even my fortune cookie was stale. I ordered the Rockin Rolla Roll which is salmon, tuna, avocado, topped with Cajun pepper tuna and white fish. Honestly, I tasted all the fish separately and the slightly smelly fish was the pepper tuna and the white fish nothing was bad; nothing was exceptional. I'd have to say that there same with the service. They were slow to take my order, slow to check V on me, just slow. They excelled at decor. It's amazing and peaceful and so soothing. Even the music was wonderful.

We went to Texas and passed through Louisiana, and found a Chinese and Japanese restaurant, so we decided to stop here and drove for six hours. The food here is delicious, and the interior decoration is also very beautiful. The owner very enthusiastic. He was very surprised when we told him that we drove all the way from California to Florida. Will definitely visit again if we go this route again.

The food was hot and wonderful. My Hot and Sour Soup was hot and I ate that first. Everything was what I expected and the family enjoyed it.

The extensive sushi menu was nice to see, and you just can't stop with just a couple of sushis; you have to try as many as you can when you see new ones you've never heard of before. It's a shame because the establishment is great and the ambiance is reminiscent of upscale Japanese dining. Service was very slow at first. It took 25 minutes to get our soups and salads and an additional 10 to get our sushi rolls. I ordered two hand rolls, when they got to my table they were in the shape of cigars, more like uncut rolls than hand rolls. Our server seemed to be in a disagreement with the host and kept disappearing for extended periods of time. Our cook was something else. After my son told him it was my birthday, he seemed to do things to intentionally make the experience miserable. He started by pouring Yum Yum sauce on the noodles while they were on the grill, much to the disgust of mine as well as other parties at the table. As he served food, he gave extras to everyone but me and kept saying things like "birthday girl, how do you like that?" It's fine, I want food that I paid for and wasn't expecting extra, it just seemed sort of odd. He proceeded to undercook my scallops and overcook my filet. When I asked for extra Yum Yum dip, he slid a greasy bottle from his cart over to me. The party next to us looked at him and said "Are you serious?" It sucks that I drove 30 minutes and picked this place because of the high praise it had received on here. Will not be returning.
