Liya down the best masseuse I've ever had--anywhere. I've been going to her religiously for a year or two now. I pretty much get a massage every 1-4 weeks depending on my schedule. She does the best whole body massage, super strong, so meticulous and knows the body very well. Her head and facial massage is also incredible. She even massaged jaw tension that I didn't know I had. And the way she massages with hot stones? Amazing. I love that she keeps the hot stones and hot towels on the body to aid in muscle relaxation. Her technique cant be replicated. she really spends her time getting into every muscle group. Her timing is perfect. The way she follows the bone and pushes towards/away the bone on the muscle. I mean, I dont know even how to describe it. She is also very warm kind-hearted. Shes like my aunty Ask for Liya. You will not be disappointed. I had a five star experience with JASON. I walked in around 8:20pm with no appointment which is not recommended. I won't do that again because my wait was long. It hit me when we passed the spa and i remembered my achy feet needed some attention. JASON very kindly told me it's best to make an appointment. Even though my daughter and I were the last clients we were treated as if we were the first to arrive for that day. This was my first time visiting this spa, I ordered the 60 Minutes Reflexology with Exfoliation for a wonderful price of $50 which Included a 10 minute shoulder massage. In heaven I sat for a whole hour. This was the best massage I've ever experienced in my life. My daughter enjoyed her experience as well. I don't remember her therapist name however she was awesome also. I can't wait to come again next week and try the combo where I will get a full body massage as well as reflexology massage. I visited Mays massage and I will say the ladies are gorgeous and dress very nice. Much better than most, even the places that wear uniforms. The location was clean they were not busy. the prices indicated was $70. The lady said my price was going to be $80. Not sure why and she could not explain. My mandarin is not very good, so that was a challenge. They offer table shower but I arrived late and was afraid they would not have enough time for 90 min massage. They were kind enough to stay later than closing to ensure I got the entire experience. The massage is sub par and not worth the $70 charge. So be prepared when you visit this location. You may want to consider St Jame' or the location across from St Jame. You will likely spend same amount but not have the same experience. I have been to May's Massage several times over the last year and every time is an absolute delight. The first massage was wonderful and naturally, I wanted the same person the next time. However he wasn't available but this person was just as good! I've had a few different massage therapists and I love the anticipation of what I'm going to experience! Each have been spot on with locating my trouble areas and know exactly how to ease the pain. They're all gifted at reading the body and knowing precisely what to do. I've been here twice the first time it was decent, not the best but got the job done on relaxing me and releasing tension. Went the second time and it wasn't pleasant. Had a couples combo massage. The combo is body and foot massage. My guy, did a technique I like to call "a home massage". You know, from someone who doesn't have technique. Instead of using pressure, he was more like pushing me upwards as he was doing my back. He also would take a bunch of oil, splash it around in his hands and I could feel it splashing everywhere. I feel like saying pssst,buddy, your not frying me your massaging me. Crank it down a notch, lol. The foot massage was ok but his terrible method of massage was hurting so I had to let him know. Then the slapping. Why do Asian massage places slap your legs and arms? Anywhoozie, the hubbie said his lady was awesome so that was good. PRICE AND SERVICE WERE AMAZING! I called May's at 1:00 and asked if I was able to get in for a 60 min massage today, at 2:00, and they fit me in, last minute. The staff was friendly when I came in, as well as when I checked out before leaving. And the massage was excellent. I paid for a Swedish massage but I think I may have received deep tissue. I'm a little sensitive, so I usually don't ask for deep tissue, but I was good with whatever I got (if it was too hard, I'm sure he would have let up upon request, but I didn't need to tell him to go lighter)! I wanted to leave, but my sister wanted to stay. It was her birthday, so, whatever. It smelled kind of smoky in there. Like old cigarettes, not like incense. And there were stains on the wall. Probably from the previous tenant because the wall looked like the rails you can slide racks on. My sister said most of them look like this. I've gotten full body massages at Treat Your Feet and Harmony, and they did NOT look like this! They were quite rude too. When I called for an appointment (which I probably didn't need because it was empty and the phone didn't even ring), the woman just said "hello." Didn't say the business name or anything. I thought I'd called someone's personal number. When we were leaving, I recalled seeing something about a Tuesday special on their website, so I asked about it since it's near my sister's side of town. She bluntly said "It's only in the morning." Didn't say anything else about it. And she looked disapprovingly at the tip I left, which I felt was appropriate for the quality of service I received. The foot massage was ok. I really felt like I would have gotten the same results at a nice pedicure place. I paid an extra $10 for exfoliation. I was highly disappointed when they just dipped into a big ole tub of generic vaseline to use for my scrub. Now, I know most places use some cheap stuff, but they'll at least put it a nice little bowl or something. The best part? The head and shoulder massage. They didn't actually touch my scalp, which I was fine with. They did a good job with the shoulders and even hit the lower back. Finally there is a place to go to get foot massage besides having to go all of the way to Buford Hwy. ! May's opened up a few months ago and I have to admit it took me a minute to warm up to them before finally deciding to get services there. I have received foot massage only and have been happy so far thirty bucks for an hour and it will include a foot soak, foot & leg massage, partial back and head massage. The place is quiet for the most part and you can relax in the big red chairs, water or tea is offered and the ladies are only looking to please you. Full body massage is also offered as well as a half hour of each foot and body massage. Mays is open until 11:00 pm again another plus this means you can get dinner first, then a massage and go straight to bed ahhh. read more

Just got back from a 2 hour massage and WOW! They have definitely made a repeat customer. It was a bit weird first stepping into the shop. There were quite a few people in the front room on phones or looking at me while I waited to talk to the man at the desk. The atmosphere was dark and quiet though, which was relaxing. There was a bit of a language barrier between me and the workers, but everyone was very kind. My massage therapist was very responsive to my request to lighten her pressure (told her I'm a wimp haha). And because of the language barrier there was some laughing, which helped me relax more. They do this slapping thing they do at the end of each limb (I guess to help blood flow?), and you could hear it through the walls happening to other people, but it wasn't too loud and I didn't mind. The room was clean. Wood floors. The bed was comfy but after about an hour the face thing got uncomfortable. Good thing that was around the time she had me flip over. The privacy sheet was very thin, but a thicker soft blanket was added on top for the face-up portion of the massage. They also rub you down with hot towels near the end, which I've never experienced before. All in all, 5 stars. Liked the environment. Very dark room, gentle music. Kind and polite employees. And the hours of operation! Hallelujah! Finally somewhere I can come after work. read more

This has to be my worst massage experience, EVERRRRR!!!! I frequent massage spas. Why? Because my body and feet are always in pain- duh. I read ok reviews on May's, and I wanted to check it out being that it is a couple exits from my place. I was extremely disappointed as soon as I set foot through the door. Right as you walk in, you are welcomed by the look of disgruntled customers faces getting their foot rubbed right in front of the front door. I wanted a body massage, so the girl drifted me past all the people and took me to a room. One thing I noticed was the spa was carpeted. How disgusting. People take their shoes off in these kind of places ALL THE TIME. When I stepped inside the body massage room, I was disgusted. The carpet is tan, and you could tell dirt has been deeply shoveled into the carpet after years/customers. I had to take my pants off one leg at a time so I could at least have 1 foot with a shoe on. The MASSAGE...was terrible! My masseuse did not speak a lick of English. (common in a Chinese-owned spa...but at least know the bare minimum.) I was going to do an hour, and I told her only 30 minutes. She kept thinking I meant 30 more mins. I also like my body massage rough. She was soft and did the most annoying motion with her arms/elbows. She didn't do any points or use her hands. The rooms don't have a ceiling, so I thought someone passing by could hear me to translate but no one did. I left so displeased and feeling worse than ever. They charge ridiculous prices, even so for being "ITP." 30 minutes was about $40. And my masseuse kept trying to do the 1 hour massage even when I had told her to only do 30 mins. The actual massage isn't bad, but what's annoying is during your foot massage the employees constantly get up every time the door is open to help whoever walks in, I guarantee last time I went my masseuse got up at least 3 times. At Macy's they soak you for 10 minutes just like other places, but then the experience just gets better. They don't just rub your toes and then touch your back for the rest.
