Absolute waste of time. Upsell after upsell and 7 minutes into a well below average massage the owner and operators began yelling - yes YELLING - through the walls then I was told I had to pay cash ONLY. To which I agreed, and then was asked to "pay now" remember I am laying on a massage table - being demanded to pay in cash immediately - 10 minutes into a below average experience. 0/10 - if your goal is stress relief and relaxation you'd be better off staying FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - they actually managed to make my day worse not, in any small way, better at all. Horrible experience. The massage itself was nice. The man did my feet and the woman did my body. Let me tell you how this turned into the most uncomfortable experience. It started off well with the man doing my feet. Then after 30 min I went to a room to get undressed for the body massage. The lady comes in and begins. About 10 minutes in the pauses to which i assume to grab something. I hear the door open and close. Soon after the resumes the massage. Then she starts talking out loud in her language. No one was responding besides a few times I could quietly hear a man but I figured it was someone outside the door or in the other room as the rooms are very thin and conversations can be heard very easily. so I assumed she was talking on the phone and had headphones in. Towards the end of the massage she says she is about to go get the stones. So I lift my head from the massage chair hole and see a man get up from the corner of the back of the room behind me and rush out with her. She then came back alone. I asked who was in here but she acted as if she didn't understand. I felt extremely uncomfortable that a MAN was sitting in a corner while I received a body massage undressed without my knowledge as my head was down the entire time. I get up to get dressed and head to the front. She ask how much I want to tip. I said $5 because I was so uncomfortable I really didn't want to tip at all but I always try to tip. She then proceeds to do puppy dog eyes and sounds and begs for $14. I said no because I was uncomfortable and unaware a man was in there. She then denies it. She's like "there no man at all". I said I heard her talking to someone and that I literally had seen him walk out. She says she was just talking to herself and then try's to gaslight me by saying I didn't see anyone. After about 4 times of me telling her I'm not tipping more than $5 the then tips herself and charges my card for the $14 tip. I didn't sign anything of me saying I wanted to tip that or even at all. She didn't even tell me she charged me for it. I had to find out by asking for a reciept which coincidentally took her about 10 minutes to find or print. I asked for the owner.she comes out and gives me the receipt and I inform her of my experience. She then goes to say that the man WAS in there and it was because he was training her. He was NOT training. He snuck into the room after I was undressed and head was down. He was not instructing her through anything. And I was NEVER made aware than a man would even be coming in there in the first place. Everything was just WRONG. And I'm even more upset because the lady who let him in LIED about it trying to gaslight me into thinking no other person was in the room at all. This place takes the cake for worst massage I've ever received. Would not recommend. I saw they had a 50$ head to toe massage special so I decided to give them a try. The lady greeted me with a full face of food and took me back. She kept the door open and music played form a speaker laid on the ground in the hallway. She talked in another language to the other ladies in other rooms for the entire beginning half of my massage. She left mid way through to go do something. For the second half of my message I thought she came back but to my surprise an Indian man's voice was heard instead. They switched mid way through my massage with no warning. The man's massage was terrible. I asked him to be more gentle 4 different times and he just didn't know what that meant. Overall I left more stressed then i was when I came in. I visited Tokyo massage near Perimeter Mall. The massage therapist seemed like a nice lady. They did not have any availability, so I called a few days later booked an appt.I drove 45 min to the location and upon arrival, I was told they were no longer accepting their own Groupon? This was truly disappointing as the Groupon does not expire until Oct. No apology was offered or any alternatives suggested. Why would anyone use a place that has so little regard for its customers. I suggest everyone stay away and not patronize this location. I would recommend you visit Juns Spa and Massage in Duluth. They are the best! read more

The last couple of times I went to Tokyo Massage were not good experiences. They will jip you of your time and some of the workers don't speak great English so when you try to explain your target areas that need tending to, the message isn't fully communicated. Even when you tell the receptionist to communicate it, i don't think it went through. I am pretty disappointed because the first time i came here, i feel like i had a pretty decent massage but now I'm unsure if there a less experienced people or if their technique has gotten lazier. When i ask for more pressure, she did it for maybe five minutes and then went back to her regular. She also talked the entire time, asking me unnecessary questions. I understand wanting to figure out why someone has so much tension in one area so you may ask what kind of job they do but then to continue the conversation and ask if the person I'm with is my boyfriend and what kind of job he has is just unnecessary. Please note that nowhere does it say minimum tip is 20% so if I feel that my service is less than a 20% tip, which it was, then I should be able to tip that way. The lady at the front desk, who did not speak very good English, was trying to continuously pressure us into tipping more than we wanted and kept pointing at the cash in our wallet and repeatedly stating the amount that she wanted us to tip. Very unprofessional. My sister just went there recently and was tricked into tipping 20% as well, even though she did not feel that she received great service either and her massage was mediocre. I'm unsure how this place downgraded within a few months but I'm disappointed to say that I will not return to this place and I will not be recommending people to come here either. Please dish out a little more money or take the time to drive elsewhere for better service and (full timed ) massages!! read more

I would leave 0 stars if I could. I kind of felt that it wasn't going to be good when the male receptionist was the one who was going to do the massage. He said "if you don't like it, you don't pay". Lo and behold i did not enjoy it. it felt rushed, there was no technique; it seemed like he didn't really know what he was doing but winged it to get my money. Of course I still ended up coming out of $85 anyway. I did not leave a tip. He was astonishines that I didn't like the massage and said he had been doing them for 20 years; perhaps he has been doing rub downs that long and on top of that his callousness were scratching my skin. I called them ahead of time and asked if I can go without appointment, and she took me right away. Yoyo was assigned to me and she is great! She massages very well, she asked if I wanted medium or hard pressure. She used black stone on me and it feels very good. I have this knot on my hands and arms, and Yoyo helped untied the knots! I went to do the $99 combo of a massage and a facial. Facial: your basic facial, got masks and extractions. The table was uncomfortable but the facial was nice enough that I fell asleep. I would have loved an arm and neck or feet massage while waiting for the steam to work its magic or while the mask dried but all in all it was pleasant. Massage: They do not cover you with sheets but instead a towel which I found weird but the massage was amazing. Ask for Tony. He has a strong touch and is very firm which I love. If I could give this review less than one star I would. I simply do not know where to begin. I saw all the other positive reviews and price and figured, this place must be good.... My Fianceé and I scheduled a 90 minute couples massage and we were disgusted with the accommodations. We were taken back to our room and told to prepare for the massage. First glance, ripped up towels covering tables, no blanket, and the towels we were told to wrap ourselves in were wet to the touch and were barely large enough the wrap a small child. We asked for new towels, which led to them bringing us more damp towels. We were told "it's ok, towels were just washed". While all of this was going on, I couldn't help but notice the economy size bottle of baby oil that I assume they would have used on us. Can't remember the last "spa" I went to that relied on baby oil. Needless to say, while we were walking out, they offered us another couples room that had not been cleaned from who knows when. My husband and I booked a last-minute massage. We are from out of town and they were able to accommodate us which was nice. Our massage started with some small towels. I would have preferred blankets. My husband thoroughly enjoyed it way more than I did. Mine was hard and it hurt. He's a bigger guy so he enjoyed it just fine. I'm feeling some serious pain right now in the upper middle part of my back. I made it clear I was in pain when she was doing it, but it didn't seem to phase her, she kept doing it hard. First of all we got a couples massage and the two girls were talking and laughing so much I told them just a half hour and then for 20 minutes of the massage they lightly rubbed e over the sheet the last 10 min she gave a decent massage. First and last time here! Worst experience I've ever had at a spa. The misuse was definitely not trained or certified, and my massage was rushed! She didn't take her time nor was she professional. She was in and out the room and talking on her cell phone in the middle of my session smh. My back actually feels worse than when i came in, she was not only rough but also burned me with the hot rocks. She didn't speak any English so it wasn't helpful when i told her to be more gentle. It was absolutely awful :( My boyfriend scheduled us a couples massage at 3pm, however we were waiting in a room for about 50 minutes until we were led to our room. It's understandable that it's a Saturday, so we weren't as annoyed, but still, reservations are made for a reason. When we got into the room, we found that our beds were on opposite sides of the room so it wasn't really like a couples massage, rather 2 individual massages in almost separate rooms. When they came in, the male who was supposed to be massaging me was just pressing my back on top of a towel that was still on my back. I figured maybe this is how they started there (even though I've had massages before), but the lady went right to my boyfriend's bare back. I waited 15 minutes and then finally spoke up about how I would appreciate if I could be massaged without the towel on me. He didn't understand English so we tried communicating with the lady about asking him. She wasn't understanding either but the message was finally conveyed. I think he got angry or something because immediately he starts vigorously massaging me without the towel. And it was painful beyond words. Regardless of the depth of the massage, it is supposed to be done with ease and a decent pace. He was so violent that I was tearing up so I asked if he could slow down. No luck, so I just dealt with it because I knew my boyfriend was enjoying his and didn't want to stress him out. When he turned me over, he saw me crying, but didn't ask even once if I was ok. The entire 45 minutes without the towel was painful was extremely painful and I needed a couple minutes to stop crying and stretch. Frankly, my back was in pain and did not feel relaxed at all. My boyfriend was feeling much better, so I was happy for him. Will never go to this place again. read more

I brought my mom here for a facial. The spa was really cute. I love the pink flower wallpaper. The facial was very thorough and she took her time with my skin. I love the masks used and my face felt very fresh and clear afterwards. She was very gentle and I felt so relaxed. My mom even fell asleep! I omitted a star because the tables were a little uncomfortable and you were to lie flat on the table which made my legs tired. And I also would've liked a little shoulder/neck massage with my facial. But other than that everything was great! Especially for the price and being in the perimeter. Yoyo is AMAZING...I moved to atlanta 4 months back..this place is at walking distance from my community..based on reviews, booked appointment with yoyo on tuesday..it was my birthday so was excited for massage as I just love body massages..spa is clean..nothing fancy but cute and nice place..she greeted me first, I asked for water which she provided..she asked me to undress..when she came back in room, I told her i want to have deep tissue massage and deep pressure on my back..she said ok..when she started with massage, in few minutes only i came to know it's gonna be amazing..she hitted all my tension points without telling her..pressure was perfect..at times it was little painful but i knew afterwards, i would feel nice..she did an amazing job.she worked on all my knots..gave more time for my back..leg massage was also different that what i had before in other places..i liked her technique..she told me my back is very very tight and asked me to visit next week as well but as I would be out of country for 2 months, would go back to her once I will be back..thank you so much Yoyo..you are best nassage therapist I have met till date..I was in Chicago for 5 years and tried deep tissue at many places but yoyo's massage was beyond all those massages I have had in chicago..I am feeling so lucky that I found her..thanks all the people who wrote reviews on google... because of all of you, got to know about yoyo...everyone please visit her and you won't regret your decision !! read more
