I was in desperate need of my shoulders being massaged. A co worker suggested I give this place a try. I walked in around 4:45pm on a Saturday. There were no other patron. A female staff greeted me after coming from the back area. I advised her that I wanted a 60 min massage. The only options are 60 min 90 min and 120 min. She walked me to a room and pointed inside. I asked her where the restroom was located. She told me that it was the last door on the right. Sooo- I walked into the bathroom and noticed a massage table and a shower! Hmmm- wonder what that is for??? After using the restroom I walked back to the room. I was not given any instructions. The female staff just closed the door. I immediately started getting undressed- but then I was confused! Where is the blanket to cover myself with? I put my clothes back on. The staff knocked on the door to see if I was ready. I told her no, because I was confused. She instructed me to take everything off except my underwear and to place a towel over my back. -- okay, this is new! When the staff entered the room again- all she said was " medium or hard?"- I opted for hard. She proceeds to awkwardly massage my neck and shoulders. Her hand movements were different. After massaging for a few minutes- maybe 10-15 she proceeded to use oils- this always lessens the pressure. The rest of the massage was just her rubbing oil over my body with light pressure. This was the worse massage I've ever received in my life. My husband and I went in for a couples massage. They were very unprofessional. I had a 90 minutes massage but she left the room about 8 times for around 5 minutes each. I asked for deep tissue and I was deeply disappointed. Upon paying my husband proceeded to tip and when he entered the amount of the tip, she pushed his hand and told him to pay more. I then proceeded to tell her to accept the tip or get nothing at all. First I came in, got undressed, and the woman comes in and removes my towel while I'm laying on my back revealing my body and proceed to tell me to turn over. I did...it was weird but I did. While she massages me she actually straddled my back. You read that right. STRADDLED MY BACK! I told her to not sit on me nor massage and areas I tell her not to. She left the room and came back. Run away as fast as possible! When I to this place, it's def a nice area & the inside was nice, but that's it. The place smelt a little like cigarette smoke. When I asked the woman what kind of massages they do...she looked at me as if I had asked a weird question? Then pointed to the frame where it just says how much for how long each massage is...that's it. She went to get another woman & it wasn't any better. After carrying tension in my shoulders for a few weeks (from working at a desk), I called Mei Mei to get a massage. They had immediate availability to get me in and before tip cost 25% less than any other massage I've paid for. The massage was excellent. I assume it was a cross between traditional Swedish and Chinese massage techniques, part of the massage was completed with oil/lotion and part of it was dry. She was able to reach every tense muscle in my boday and when I left, I felt incredibly relaxed. Furthermore, she gave me a full 60-min massage like I paid for (not 50 mins advertised 60 mins). I cannot recommend Mei Mei enough and will return again! read more

I had a decent experience here. I was able to go in without an appointment. They don't offer different types of massages, just different time sessions. So, if you are looking for a shiatsu, Swedish, or deep tissue, this is not the place for you. They also don't have you sign a liability waiver or ask you what you need worked on. My 60 min massage was a mixture. There was the traditional rub, then she did a hot stone rub, and a warm cloth cleansing. They do use oils and lotions for the full body massage. I was in town and was in serious need of a massage. And fortunately for me, Massage Envy (where I am a member) wasn't able to fit me in. Yelp led me here and it was amazing! Not sure where the one star reviews come from because like I said, my massage was pretty amazing. I had several large knots that she was able to break up into smaller chunks so that I can at least turn my head again. Initially I thought it was a little odd that there was no up front consultation but it didn't matter because the therapist just went to work and found all the places that I had knots and beat them into submission! I asked for a 60 minute massage, they hurried me back to a room, without asking me which type of massage. Then the lady rubs me down for about 30 minutes, then exposes my bear nakedness, Which was awkward but I'm OK with nudity. Overall the massage was not good at all!! This place is very clean, and has a modern look and relaxing atmostophere. The staff are friendly and professional. They give the best massage Cobb County has to offer. I was massaged by Elaine and a few others. I am a highly satisfied customer who suffers from back pain. I previously went to Village Health Spa off South Cobb Drive and was dissapointed. I called and was impressed they took me right before close! Instead of 2 hands they talked me in getting 4 hands for the 60 rate. This was a first but I tried it. One massage while the other one rubbed. I was very disappointed that they rub my back but didn't apply any pressure or actually massage it. After words I told them and she said I should of told them. As the professional's, I would of hoped they would of knew I wanted a Back Massage and not just hands rubbing on it but I wrong. The place looks neat and decent but the massage service was horrible. If you are looking for a relaxing deep tissue massage this is the most despicable place to go. I don't know why it even have good reviews at all. Plus the best part, the massage therapist would tell you the amount of tip they want you to give that is like in front of you, now is not that what you call talented price gouging experience. If Yelp gave 1/2 stars Id give this place 4 1/2 stars. I've been to Mei Mei's twice since it opened.It has a very nice atmosphere and i received a excellent massage both times. My second visit was after a long, hard work day. I hobbled in with sore muscles and some neck pain...and left feeling totally renewed! The therapists are friendly, very skilled in different massage techniques and will cater the massage to your needs. The entrance, bathrooms and massage rooms are clean and inviting. My only complaint (reason for 4 1/2 and not 5 stars) is the lighting in the massage rooms. They only have 1 ceiling light and even when dimmed I found it annoying when on my back. I mentioned this to the owner and she said they were in the process of redesigning the lighting in the rooms. read more

Best spa place in Cumberland area. When in ATL for monthly business I always go there after sushi at Japanese place in same mall, name. Kuro??? Recommend hot shower treatment and deep pressure massage. Women are friendly and well conditioned but the new LMTs do the best massage. Some speak better English than others so ask up front. I hate appointments so I frequently wait for the most popular. Get an appt. They dont use heavy perfume smells - which I prefer. Looks and smells newly renovated. Let me first start off by saying that this place is always empty, even during holidays and weekends, that should be your first clue that they might not be so great. However, we decided to give them a chance since we live in the area. Here is what happened to us: we called to make an appointment for Valentine's weekend, we were told to come in and given a total price for our services. Once we arrived and repeatedly rang the bell, the woman who finally appeared at the front desk (still chewing her food & speaking in between bites), quoted us a price 3 times higher than what was quoted over the phone and on the clearly visible sign in the establishment, then she attempted to charge us PRIOR to having services rendered. We were not sure we heard correctly because there was a language barrier so she called someone on a cell phone to reiterate what she was telling us in English. We were shocked at their lack of integrity, poor customer service and unbelievable nonchalant attitudes toward our disappointment. We left and vowed not only to never return again but to share our experience with others to avoid the unnecessary loss of time, gas and money. The way they run this business is terrible and insulting, they are very desperate and will do anything (dishonestly, I might add) to obtain your money-please stay away!
