Short version: WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. (delete my 1 star)
I don't write many reviews, but do when I feel confident about something. After reading the negative reviews on Dr. Patel, I figured I'd still take a chance, as I was only after a basic sleep study. It's just data. All he had to do was facilitate. Provide a monitor, have data analyzed, and convey the results. Sounds so simple. Nope.
Initial visit...Doctor comes in, receives a text, and comments to me, "can you believe people would text a doctor during the day"? Seemed not business-related. My thoughts...what in the heck is this clown doing answering texts while seeing a new patient? Make your dinner plans during a break, please. Then was a sales pitch about some paid diet plan. Not leaving me too confident here. Anyway next visit, I picked up the test machine.
Then...I got the run-around for 1.5 MONTHS with, "your results are with the doctor. He reads them on weekends". Okay, I'll be a patient patient. Finally made an appointment to review my results, after 2 months. Arrived at the office to find, NO RESULTS. Nobody bothered to take the time to check them.
Returned there today (okay, it was also the least expensive sleep study listed on my insurance). Picked up a new sleep study machine. It didn't seem to be working properly. However Dr. Patel came in, didn't bother to acknowledge his new patient at all, and told the assistant not to worry as it was just fine. I was told nobody tested the new machine. Perhaps it's Dr. Patel's first sleep study too?
So, why am I writing this after 1:30 AM? Because I went to see Dr. Patel over 3 months ago, in order improve my sleep. I was way too patient of a patient.
There are too many quality doctors in our area to be dragging a lesser one along for simple data.
