Well this was definitely a cute spot to grab an early bite to eat! No specialty coffees which is what we were hoping for, but the drip coffee was decent. Staff were all extremely nice. The avocado toast was 6/10 for me-- the toast wasn't toasted (or barely) and there was a tiny shmear, or really thin layer, of avocado on the toast. I didn't expect nor want it to taste fully like a dessert but there was so much jam on it, it's definitely more of a jam toast than an avocado toast. My fiancée got a breakfast sandwich and it was extremely dry with no sauce on it at all. Very possible that sauce was an option and he didn't see it, but the other ingredients in it were dry as well. I think with a few tweaks to these menu items it could've been a lot more satisfying. read more

Yet another mediocre dining experience here in Bozeman. The breakfast burrito was $12. My burrito was suppose to have eggs, sausage, salsa, sour cream, and hash browns. What I got was a sysco liquid eggs, undercooked hash browns and maybe an ounce of meat. No sour cream or salsa. Not properly salted and no real flavor. I just don't get it. We desperately needed some coffee leaving the airport and stopped in at this cute cafe not too far. Not a great spot for coffee as they only have the one regular coffee option but they have a nice selection of breakfasts and baked goods! The Plated Breakfast and triple berry scone were very good! My Husband and I had to taste a little of everything so we splurged on the Bozeman Brunch. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the bacon and sausage delicious, crispy hash browns, fresh fruit and we split a pistachio coconut scone and a cinnamon twist. The staff was warm and attentive. The coffee was hot and fresh with many mix in options. The restaurant was clean. The folks at the table next to us got burritos and they looked huge and wonderful. read more

Rise and Shine is a small cafe that shares a building with a rock and brick supply business. It's quaint and has country decor. There is a soda bar with Pepsi products. I think they only serve breakfast and lunch. My partner had the Sundance burrito and it was savory and delicious, with homemade corn salsa. The burritos are huge and a good value at $11-13. I ordered the avocado toast, which I didn't finish. The ingredients, individually, were high quality, but the flavors (it was a very sweet avocado toast) didn't work for me. We would definitely return for the burritos and to try the baked goods. Skip the avo toast. read more

I've been to this place 4 or 5 times I always get the Dakota burrito. I used to rave about this place but after today I will not be. The experience was pretty awful! I have come to expect a certain product and when I got my burrito today it was different and disappointing to say the least. Every other time I've gone the beef was small bite sized pieces or maybe even ground beef. This time it was not. I got huge fatty pieces of steak I couldn't even bite through. Every time I got a bite with beef the entire piece of beef would just come out of the burrito. I couldn't get a bite with beef and everything else because I couldn't even rip a bite off without the whole thing coming out. Super sad and to spend $13 on something I couldn't even enjoy is pretty unfortunate. Very glad we found this place. Certainly a local hangout with a great vibe. You order then grab a seat. Coffee was ok with a nice self-serve area for condiments and cream. It doesn't seem like much from the outside, but this place is serving up exceptional breakfast favorites, mouth-watering baked goods, and delicious coffee. Everything we had was even better than it looked. You can never go wrong with a breakfast burrito and R&SC has a plethora for you to choose from. We tried to Montana Redneck and it was sensational. That sausage gravy is some of the best I've ever had. No doubt. Don't you dare skip over the pastry window! I still regret not trying the huckleberry danish while I was there. Nonetheless, our scone and sticky bun were some of the best we'd ever had. Don't overlook the Rise & Shine Cafe! There's a line out the door for a reason. Get there early or get in line. read more

Yes!!! First time here from out of state. Family that lives here recommended this place. It stays busy all morning. Plenty of parking but was almost full when we went Saturday at 930. Staff was very friendly and we sat inside. The Daybreak plate is the most traditional with scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, and hash brown. My wife and kids enjoyed theirs! Loved the eggs and the jam for the toast. I had the blueberry scone which was moist and amazing! It was a good 15-20 min wait for food, but worth it! Bathrooms were clean and nice. They only have one toilet for men and one for women so it might be busy if there is a crowd there. Highly recommend this place! Amazing food!!!! read more

This place is mean!!! I was recommended this spot for breakfast by a local and I can't recommend it enough. It's placed slightly weird but parking is plentiful and service is excellent. This appeared to be a female owned business with an all female staff that appeared to have great synergy as a team. These guys are known for their breakfast burritos and I was very satisfied. I ordered the Carnitas burrito and it was cooked to perfection. Crispy pork, warm hash browns and fluffy eggs! I ordered their cinnamon rolls which were fresh out of the oven and also a Buffalo chip cookie that was still warm. Don't miss a local treasure. We've been customers for the 20 years We've lived here. Over the past maybe year, breakfast has gone way downhill. Kick in the pants used to be amazing now it's bland, no jalapeño jelly, no cream cheese or whatever they used to put in it. NOT good, not worth it. Really great little place for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed lunch right before they closed for the day at 2pm. All the staff were very friendly. Outdoor and indoor seating. Pepsi products and some good Kombucha. Amazing desserts! Pies and cookies and bars. The lemonade cake was, to quote my wife, "phenomenal!" Salads were fresh, crisp, and included a variety of veggies. Cute little place with a large parking lot. The entrance was a little chaotic, and the counter v seating arrangement wasn't super welcoming, but the vibe was! There were some people sitting at tables, who hadn't ordered. Enforcing the rule of ordering before sitting would be appreciated, as the place was pure chaos. We had wanted coffee + breakfast, but ended up having one person order pastries/baked goods while the rest of us sat in the car. I'd be more concerned if they weren't busy. What a fun place. We got fast great food in an eclectic atmosphere. The little 50's looking microwave on the counter behind the refrigerator is perfect. Loved the art on the walls. And the coffee is wonderful with all you want for one price. You pour your own and add what you want to it, like cinnamon and raw sugar. The sausage grave is so loaded with sausage it's unbelievable. Cute little hole-in-the-wall type roadside cafe. You go in and stand in line to order, then find a seat and they bring your breakfast to you. Our breakfast came out so quickly- less than 10 min! Solid roadside cafe serving breakfast and amazing sandwiches at reasonable prices. Attracts lots of locals, working stiffs and the stray visitor like myself. Sorta easy set-up. Order at counter, find a place outside or in, and the meal is delivered. Due to its on-the-move clientele, breakfast leans to hand-held burritos and breakfast sandwiches. If I had a million dollars I'd buy this place a huge building because they are literally busting at the seams with people who know they're not going to be disappointed. So weather the crowds my friends because Rise and Shine is sooooo worth it! I've been here a handful of times and each time the service is friendly, professional and courteous. There isn't a soul working here that's not busting a sweat- yet they're all happy to see you. How they CONSISTENTLY have fresh, pretty fruit is so impressive. I can't even do that at home. The scones and other baked goods are delightful to say the least- done and dressed to perfection, they'll knock your socks off. Fresh, timely, spot on perfection. No offense Jam, but this place got you beat. The only thing you have on them is mimosas. I don't know the owners or what their story is but they have perfected the breakfast meal and then some.
