Well, it doesn't leak, so that's already a good thing. Most T stations don't but Quincy Center... bring an umbrella. North Quincy Station has no heating or cooling outside or in. Likewise, waiting areas lack any overhead radiators (which to be fair use a tremendous amount of electricity). The roof will protect you from precipitation, but not from wind (or a mix of the two). This station has an Island platform (you are in center, trains run around). Electronic signage tells you which platform holds what train, and when it is arriving. There are exits on both ends, with the north end having exits on both sides of the track. I do like that this end allows people to cross over the tracks without having to pay to "enter" the station. Both ends are fully accessible, with elevators serving all entrances. Station is clean and grafiti free, as others have noted. There is a bathroom right past the turnstiles at the north end of the station (or whatever the MBTA equivalent is called). As a pleasant surprise it had on my limited experiences been acceptable, especially for a train station. One of my gripes, however, is that the north end is supposed to be closed on weekends and holidays (citation needed). For the time being while Wollaston is being renovated they are keeping it open. Part of this, I'm guessing, has to do with the north side being closest to the local offices (State Street, Granite, Blue Cross, etc.). Station is also staffed, while the booths at the entrances are often empty, there's sometimes an MBTA official at platform level.
