It's not what it used to be. I've ordered here twice since being home from TX and each time I've ordered something different. The first time, I ordered the chicken club with a Caesar salad. The chicken was not cooked thoroughly and they gave me ranch dressing instead of Caesar (with no pickle might I add. Lol) Second time, I ordered a hot sandwich and received it uncooked AND cold. No apologies and no reimbursement or offers were given to make up for the wait period that he had to withstand. He was picking up food to take to his family who were expecting him at a specific time. First of all the food is fantastic...if you can get it. At this location I ordered a whole sandwich and received a half after I told 3 times that I wanted a whole sandwich. This is a deli which features sandwiches, soups, and salads. It's a standard eatery with nothing which makes it stand out so much. I will say that the potato soup was pretty good. My sandwich (the Italian) was okay. The pasta salad was kinda dry and not very well seasoned. Basically, you order your meal at the counter and are given a number which you post at your table. A few minutes later, your meal is brought to your table. This location is huge with plenty of tables and space. The workers were very nice and checked on us appropriately. Last night, I had a curbside order from McAlister's. It took 30 minutes to get my order and I had to go inside to get it. They were very slow and they weren't that busy. Then my salad had browned under the bottom. Like they had put old salad underneath the good looking salad. Will not be back anytime soon. read more

Saturday dine in order took 25 minutes to get. Both sandwiches were wrong but we ate them anyway. The Reuben was soggy but the club was excellent. Mistakes happen and I can forgive that. What I find unforgivable is the filthy dining room. Somebody pick up a mop & broom!! read more

After visiting McCalisters Deli, Byram location I can say NEVER AGAIN! Customer service at its worst. I have eaten at the location before but today was a major disappointment. After waiting 23 minutes for Veggie Bake Potatoes, only to find out that they didn't even start them. Then the cashier couldn't get the manager to come out to give me a refund. While the food is good at this restaurant the service leaves a LOT to be desired. I have ordered to go meals twice in the last 2 months and each time have been ignored until I ask for assistance at the pick up counter. That is to say, there have been two or more people at the regular order counter who actively ignored me on both occasions until I said something directly to them. Each time the response I received was rude and along the lines of "i'm not scheduled to work that area." I will order out from other area restaurants in future. read more

I usually love this McAlister's Deli, but I called tonight to order a pick up meal. The lady that answered the phone knew NOTHING about how to use the register. sigh This is not my first experience with her. This is also not my first time to have to deal with this problem from other employees at this particular McAlister's Deli. Why is it so hard to train employees before you put them out to the public?
