Two neat combo brisket and turkey

Ordered the 2 meat combo. $27 and change with a drink. Brisket and turkey Was very disappointed in the portion size. There was 3 very thin slices of each meat. The brisket was cold and dry. The baked beans and Mac and cheese were good. Probably will not be back. The service was quick

This place is chaotic on fundraiser day- in a fun way. Stopping off the highway for lunch. Pulled pork today is 2.99 per sandwich. I've been traveling with the Chestnut Brass company at GRAY wedding Brass quintet for more than 30 years. We stopped for barbecue all the time. This is one of the best barbecue places I've ever been to 40 years really impressed with the number of things they do to support their community . Conway is only 64,000 people here in 2024. This barbecue restaurant helps out for different organizations with doing good things for people are in the community and state.

Restaurant was clean (a bit dated, but clean) service was nice, food was fresh enough. However, the amount of food was PATHETIC. I get a bad economy and all, but a two meat combo for $20, and not enough meat to cover a piece of bread???? C'mon...

    Pathetic

This is a pathetic amount of food for the price. 3 burnt ends and a handful of okra.

Had the ribs and jalapeño sausage with mac and cheese with baked beans at lunch. The ribs were served with a dry rub with sauce on the side, delicious!!! The baked beans were served with a spicy bite, something I had never experienced. Jalapeño sausage was sooo good, just the right amount of pepper that added to the taste. Definitely would recommend, if you are passing through Conway, AR or want to make the drive.

Two meat plate was ordered and these are the portion sizes I received. Burnt ends and pork loin.

Terrible portion sizes. Very disappointing. Wish I got at least a meals worth of food.

First time eating here and I was super pleased. Got the beef brisket plate and it was great! If you're from out of town this is a great place to experience some different flavor. The brisket would be perfect if the skin was kept on for that crusty dark layer with salt and pepper, that would make this dish over the top! That's the only reason I subtract one star. If I had to tell anyone just one place to go to if you're in town, it would be here. I'm not from here, but this place is how Arkansas taste in my opinion. It has some very good prices here and again I think everything on this menu probably taste just as good as this plate taste. You won't be disappointed when you visit. Well worth the money and portions of food they give.

Great bbq, informal atmosphere, friendly accommodating employees. The Chicken wings, and sausage were both fantastic.

For some reason it is MUCH more expensive in Little Rock. I enjoy the Conway location though.

The ribs were very chewy kind of dry. I would not recommend them for ribs. The environments nice and the staff seem friendly.

It was several miles off the main highway, but we decided to give it a try anyway--not worth the drive or time. The eating area was clean but all the knick knacks needed a good dusting. There were several daily specials posted but without prices and we didn't ask...mistake #2. We got an onion rings appetizer. They were good. I ordered the stuffed potato with brisket. It was room temperature and had one tiny slice of brisket cut into four pieces hidden by cheese and sour cream. It was ok. I mean how badly can you mess up a potato? My husband ordered the Cajun sampler. The proteins were delicious-fried fish, shrimp, crawfish, but that's it. We are Louisianians born and bred. It came with cups of gumbo and red beans and rice. I'm not sure what was in the first cup, but it wasn't gumbo and was pretty much inedible. The crackers with the gumbo were so old, they were rancid. You could smell the odor as soon as you opened the package. The red beans and rice were flavorless except for waaaay too much red pepper (tons of Tony Chacherie's does not make it Cajun). There was Texas toast--should have had hush puppies, but whatever. We drank water. THEN we got the bill--$55 for lunch before the tip. Even though parts of the meals were good, it was not worth the price or the detour.

My wife and I have been to Mike's Place many times for many different occasions over the years…read more It's our go-to restaurant when we want delicious food and dependable service. The restaurant is decorated tastefully in a quaint New Orleans style, and the atmosphere is dress casual and calm, perfect for nice, quiet get together. The restaurant is not designed for a high volume of people, so reservations are best because they stay busy. As I mentioned, Mike's Place is New Orleans themed, and the menu reflects this style, but there are many delicious options. My wife and I made 6:00 pm reservations for our 41st wedding anniversary. We arrived around 5:45 pm but we were seated before 6:00. Our server, Dallas, was very friendly and attentive and took care of all our dining needs. We first ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. This arrived quickly and was hot and well prepared. The Coconut Shrimp comes with a delicious dipping sauce. For our entrees, my wife ordered the Atlantic Salmon with fried okra and baked potato, all of which was served hot and well prepared. My wife has dairy allergies and she requested a butter substitute for the baked potato, and Dallas was able to provide margarine instead of butter. I ordered the Commodore's Platter, which comes with Lobster Tail, Dungeness Crab Claws, White Fish and Shrimp with salad and one side. You can get the seafood prepared grilled, blackened or fried. Even though a "platter" sounds like a lot of food, it was filling but not too much. This was another excellent experience at Mike's Place, and we'll definitely be back!

Besides the reviews here I had heard from a few locals that this place was a good place for dinner and nobody has anything bad to say about it. I'm happy to confirm that was the same result for us. We were seated quickly even without a reservation around 5:30 this evening. We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer and a round of cocktails. They were served fairly quickly considering how busy they were at the time. For dinner I got the pecan crusted white fish and my friend got the blackened white fish. Both tasted delicious which was great. My wife got a Cesar salad and a loaded bake potato and it was also good. The service was great as well. The waiter and other staff were very attentive and checked on us regularly. The overall feel of the place is casual upscale. It's nice without being fancy. It has kind of a rustic vibe to it that is nice to look at. We enjoyed our experience here and would come back again when we're in town.
