During a visit for lunch on 10/8 the manager could be heard throughout the dinning room yelling at the kitchen staff to hurry they were in the "red". It made for a not very relaxing lunch. The food and service was ok, but I could have done without the yelling. read more

Service is friendly and professional and the food is ok but just that. not great, and too expensive for the quality and portions. Today we bought lunch for three and my son got Mac and cheese with his sandwich and I had the chili with mine. My wife got a salad and it seems she had the best thing. Our sandwiches were tasty, but mostly bread. I mean a lot of bread and very little inside. My sandwich was $10 bucks and for that in a rural midwest town I would expect much better. if I had gone to Subway, Firehouse Subs or Jimmy Johns I would have a longer sandwich and easily three times the stuff inside. My son made a point fo complaining about it too. Good tasting sandwich and bread, only far too much bread and next to nothing inside. Over the last year, we have tried them several times from carbide pickup to eating outside or eating inside. The service is consistent and prompt and I have no issues regarding that. However, each time we have ordered several things are unavailable, popular yet ordinary items that any smart manager would have planned better and kept regular staple items in stock. For example they promote an extensive baked potato menu and it all sounds great but twice we came in and they had run out of potatoes! I mean if you were getting low run down to the store and buy a bag, how hard is that. You should never run out of basic menu items unless you have poor management. read more

Food has always been okay but the last two times I ordered (I always order pickup) my order has been left behind the counter for delivery. Today I told the cashier I had ordered online. She replied, "Well if it isn't over in that box, they're still working on it." Finally, after waiting 7 minutes past when it was supposed to be due, a woman answering the phone for pickup orders checked on mine and found it behind the counter for "Grub Hub" delivery. I had the pecan berry salad. The strawberries were fresh as were the blueberries. However, the cashier forgot to ask if I wanted Spring greens or spinach. There was a bit too much iceberg in my "mixed greens". No iceberg is pictured in the advertising photo. The dressing was scrumptious, almost too-sweet, though. The bathrooms were a bit disgusting along with the faded fake flowers on the sink. I do love the chocolate chip cookies and the unsweetened tea is brewed perfectly, of course. My partner loved the chicken club, and the parmesan kale soup is very good. Overall 3 star rating. I could possibly change this to a 4 star rating upon overall improvement in the future. read more

Because the crab was krab (the fake stuff - surimi...definition:"Surimi"ground meat") refers to a paste made from fish or other meat. This is my favorite Deli in the Joplin area. The staff is always super friendly and very helpful. The food is always fresh and your order is always right. The staff comes around and checks in with you and refills your delicious tea. The tea is the best in town, hands down. I usually get a Ruben, New Yorker or a Italian. They are always great! Soup I recommend the Chicken Tortilla and the White Macadamia nut cookie is a great way to finish off a great meal. This is one of the few places that has outdoor seating and you can enjoy without music blasting in your ears. Hear family environment or a working lunch! read more

We had a wonderful experience. The food was prepared correctly and service was quick. Everyone was kind and friendly as well as they checked on us frequently. The restaurant looked good and we chose to eat outside. If you are not a rewards member, become one! They have great specials and you can acquire points with purchases. The only negative, but I did not take a star away is that the time of closing was incorrect on the Ap and so we were unable to preorder. With a family of 6, it is much easier to preorder than to walk in and all order at a cash register. Hopefully the time and table side ordering will work on the Ap soon! read more

Food was great per usual. Not sure if it was the manager or someone taking lead but they spoke to me like I was stupid. I ordered pickup with Yelp and when I walked in and asked to pickup my food they looked at me as if I was stupid. Apparently I was to know my food was in the delivery drivers pickup area. Which it says it for grub hub drivers and last time I checked I was not a grub hub driver. Needless to say there is no reason to be rude. Things could have been explained a little nicer. I was really impressed with this place. Always seen it but never stopped by to visit. The wait was a little long but the employees were quick to get people through the line. I was pretty pleased with my good choice, I ordered the chicken dumpling soup and half sandwich. I have had better chicken dumpling soup but did my best to not try and compare it. This used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but since the change in management it has gone way downhill. When we were there a couple of nights ago, it took 23 minutes for our food to come out. I went to ask to talk to a manager, but all I got was a couple of coupons. An apology was what I wanted. The restaurant was not busy, and it was not very clean. I saw workers standing around and talking to each other on the clock. No one ever came by to check and see if we needed anything (they used to come by and ask about drink refills). Came through this McAlisters while traveling through on our way to OK. The food was good as always, but the cleanliness was the reason for the two stars. For starters there were so many flies!!! Both men and women's bathrooms were out of soap. The floor under our booth was dirty (random food and chips) and so sticky. I love McAlister's! Delicious sweet tea for one and awesome brownies. The customer service is always great, and fast. I've never waited more than ten minutes for my food there. My favorite thing to get, which I highly recommend, is the Orange Cranberry Club. It's the best!
