Check your to go order carefully before you leave! My French dip with veggie chili became a veggie sandwich with chicken tortilla soup, they're just not very bright and English isn't their strong point. Highly recommend you just keep driving until you leave Odessa. On the positive side they did unlock the bathroom for me. Locked due to the school close by. Quick. Easy. Delicious. A sweet lady by the name of Mary took our order and she was so great. She had a positive attitude and was super polite. The food & drinks never disappoint. I had the spicy southwest chicken griller and my wife had half a SWCG & half veggie spud. Both turned out delicious as always and we received our order approx 10 min from the time we sat down. Tonight we ordered pickup & had two VIP cards to use. While waiting in the drive through line we noticed at least 10 tables that were dirty and the dinner rush hadn't even started. Once we made it to the window to pickup our food, we gave the cards to the worker & a manager came by & said we could not use both our VIP cards on one transaction (we have never had this issue before with using multiple VIP cards on one order so we were confused). He further explained that their system would only allow one VIP card per transaction since the New Year & that things have changed in terms of the VIP cards (I think he said they have a $10 max now? Or something like that). So I asked him if he could split the order so we could use both, he said we'd have to come inside to do that. We then pulled around to go in & get everything settled. After all this we get home && there was no cheese on my fiancé's Big Nasty & we were missing an extra side of gravy...disappointing to say the least read more

I order through the McAlister's App for a speedy process with an order of four DRINKS at 4:26 and waited ten minutes just for the lady to tell me they're "working on it". No worries, maybe they're short staffed, I get it. Another ten go by and still nothing so I've now been here twenty minutes and have yet to receive anything. For FOUR drinks. Then a lady rolls up through the drive through to order four drinks and gets them instantly. This happened multiple times at this specific one- new management needs to come in and change the way things are ran. This is the last time I'll ever come to this one. read more

Went to McCalisters a while back it was a very poor experience but since it is close to the house we decided to try it again. Wrong decision. It was so cold in there you couldn't get comfortable. There was a long line of people and only one person working the register and two people in the kitchen. The lady at the register even had to go to the back and help cook. We waited 45 minutes for our food which had been setting on the counter for over 25 minutes before it was delivered to our table. The soup was cold and the bread and meat were cold, so the bread was hard as a rock. We will never go back to this McCalisters. I'm not sure how they make any money because they kept refunding everybody's meal for the wait. I guess I should be blessed they did that. This store needs closed or needs a new manager. Never again. We will drive to the one on 191 and Billy Hext or the one on West County Road. read more

In the kitchen I see four, maybe five employees, one looks like a manager. While I'm waiting in line watching Nallely move like madness, the kitchen seems to be getting food prepared quickly. I don't know everything going on so I may be out of line, but why not send a kitchen member around to run the food. I'm sure three or four in the kitchen could do just as well and the guests waiting in line would see more progress. By the way, two separate couples in line behind me walked out after complaining about the wait. I calmed the gal in front of me down. All in all, I waited about 18 minutes for my order to be taken with only one guest in front of me. I got my food in about 8 minutes. I also ordered a brookie (cookie/brownie combo). When my order arrived, the half salad was missing, as was the pickle. And the container even said "with pickle". Ordered a Cranberry club and it was the only thing good for the order. I ordered a two for two but they didn't have like half of the sandwiches so I just had to ask "what do you have" and ended up with a chicken salad on a croissant and half a spud. Ordered two teas and they both tasted stale. After about 10 minutes they told me the spuds weren't available as they were still too "hard". I started to suggest they just microwave but instead opted for soup. I asked which ones they did have and chose the chicken tortilla. After 25 minutes they called my name for pickup. I felt sorry for the young lady who handed me my order as she apologized for the delay. The 1/2 croissant was stale and the chicken salad blah. For $30 I expected a lot more. When I'm craving for the perfect tasty sandwich, Mcalister's pops on top of my list. I like the interior American dining theme, it is nicely decorated, and well organised, lines could be long during the lunch hours, but worth a wait. Cold and Hot sandwiches are all great, Broccoli and cheese soup is excellent, and the cookies are delicious. Prices are average maybe slightly above. Parking is sufficient and neven had a problem parking. I am a returning customer, I definitely recommend this place, I'm certain that if you visit you will return. read more

It's clean, the prices are decent, the tea is good (for those who like tea--and you can buy it by the gallon, as well as lemonade by the gallon too!) and the food is pretty good. I like the baked potatoes, which don't let them fool you--they aren't one big huge potato--it's usually two cut open and put together to look like it. But they taste good. They have good sammiches too. Love sammiches sometimes. Usually grab it to go, but we've eaten there before. Been times we'd have to wait a long time to get served, but they were always nice and brought it to the table and packed it up nice even when it was to go. We get to the 191 location, waited 10 min in the drive thru pickup line, only to find out our order was not there. Apparently it was actually placed at the 42nd Street location. So we had to drive all the way through town and wait over in line again for our order. We found out Call in orders are done at a call center. What a waste of time!
