Went here today and tried to buy three piece of furniture. The elderly lady that worked there was so incredibly rude and told me each item was not for sale. One trunk had a tiny sticker on it that was cover by clothing that said not for sale and she completely bite my head off and scolded there's a sign right on it can't you read. I was super pissed. I tried to buy a buffet, not for sale. Tried to buy another trunk, not for sale. Terrified to ask what is for sale! read more

Cheaters. First of all al the nice items (mainly furniture) are not for sale. They one item selling as an Auction (?????) the worst part is that when I got there they had a nutcracker for $1 the lady that worked there seemed to be upset when she noticed it was for a dollar. I asked her if she can hold it while I looked around and she agreed. When I came back to pay she said that the price was a mistake and the it was actually $5. She showed me another price at the bottom ( that was not there before ) and she took the one for $1 off and asked if I still want it. I said no at that point I was very upset . A good honorable honest business will always honor the price as marked. I shouldn't bought the other items but I won't be coming back there ever. read more

Good deals and finds. There was one older lady cashier who stared at me and would make loud passive-aggressive comments ("remember to put the clothes on the rack" "put things where you left them") to whomever she thought was the person who did those things, in reality we were just standing/passing by/looking at the items. But she may have just had a rough day. The other workers were so kind and welcoming. I would come back and recommend. read more

I was in the store at 2:00 this afternoon ready to check out when the price on the item I wanted to purchase was tagged $3.00 and they would not sell it to me because they said the price was not right, I felt they were accusing us of changing the price. I have to say that I'm so disappointed in this thrift store since they got new management. I've been dropping in here since it first opened and it was such a cute, inexpensive thrift store. The volunteers were all retired women who were sweet and helpful. But in the past few years it underwent many changes that has made it so I won't even go there. It had been about 6 months since I went in because the last few times were futile. Now everything is individually marked with UPC price tags. It used to be a set price for shirts, pants, dresses, etc. Now they want more money for certain brands. Not only this, but the prices are outrageous! I could find cute knick knacks, books, LPs, kitchenware for great prices (as a thrift store should be). This is no more at this store. The items are donated!! I realize the proceeds (or partial proceeds) go to help the Mennonites with missions to help underprivileged countries, etc. But why gouge with the prices? You'd sell more with prices like they used to be. Yes, some things may be worth a little more, but there is crap in here marked as if it was retail or vintage! $8 for a boxed photo book. The box was all beat up so it can't be a gift. It was also personalized with someone else's info. $8?? Come on now! Plus, the people who now work here are not very friendly or helpful. Something in their front case was unmarked so the front cashier told me to ask in the back. They refused to price it until the next day. Um, they used to just give you a price. I'm not coming back tomorrow, so just have someone give a price! I'm sure it would have been ridiculous anyway since it was in the case. I'm sure I didn't miss out on a deal, for sure. What used to be one of my top local thrift stores will be a no go from now on. I'm not even going to give it another chance. I've been trying for a couple years and I'm done. I went to MCC Thrift Store today to shop for vinyl records. Much to my disappointment the young man working at the time would not allow me to look at all the records they had. I saw crates of records out on a table. I asked him if I could see the records. He made numerous efforts to say no and discourage my curiosity. However when I looked closer I noticed on the side of the building outside a record collector I see everywhere looking through crates of records unbothered by anyone. Also one of the ladies asked me what I do with the records I buy? I'll give you four guesses. "None of your business!!" That's the most inappropriate and unprofessional question an thrift store employee can ask. Heads up record collectors the place is a waste of time and gas money! So disappointed because all you hear inside from the employees is "Have a blessed day." And "God bless." Holy Crap is all I have to say about this place! read more

Hmm, this isn't the best kept thrift store. It's packed with items & can be hard to shop. I've only found a few things that I had to have for our apt but that's it. Like I said, it's hard to shop so I haven't been back even though it's right down the street. It looks like they may get TOO many donations because items overflow out into the store front & also in the back. Maybe I'll have more luck next time. read more

It's a small place and they put out a few things each day. I found what I was looking for and it was a good price. Clothes are in good condition and if you need a shirt or blouse come here... Kitchen stuff was ok. Shoe area was not pleasant. PLZ DONT DONATE HERE! It's unfortunate I had to run into this but I did. I came here before and bought my mom this antique box, I saw a sign that said the place takes donations. I called Saturday morning and asked if I can come in now to donate one bag and she said we are at capacity so I did tell her it's a trash bag filled with clothes majority being brand new and I'm moving hate to just throw it away. She said if it's just that then no problem bring it by I'll have people check outside. This girl was really sweet on the phone. So I drop one trash bag and half I split the bag so it's not heavy on me. I proceed to make a courtesy call so they know I dropped it off. Girl picks up diff than who I spoke to and said no we can't take them and I said it's just a bag? and I spoke to someone earlier who said I can. She proceeded to speak over me and said respect our donation hours next time (I had no idea whaT their hours are btw) I've been there once! I proceed to be polite despite her tone with me and I said had I known I wouldn't have come but I have brand name clothes I did not want to throw out. She again spoke over me and said no no please respect the hours of donation mon-fri okay? Someone put furniture here last time and it was not okay she complaining about another customer and I'm like lady it's a bag? A BAG with majority tagged items? She proceeded to speak over me. I didn't even answer at that point and hung up. I really regret giving that place such expensive stuff I had. Incredibly rude and altho I'm moving I'm staying within this city and I won't come back. Please don't donate to this ungrateful thrift store, I'm appalled by the girl on the phone, so disrespectful. read more
