This store was bustling, bustling, bustling on a Tuesday midday . There was so much to see . They had vintage toys,clothing, and an outside area with things like furniture , pianos, baby items and workout equipment. It's good to know they take donations. They had jeans for $7.99 . They also have a 20% discount for teachers , students , seniors,and military on Monday . The service was friendly and helpful . Atleast two employees interacted with me on the floor. There is free parking, but I ended up parking across the street. The lot was a bit full. read more

The secret to successful thrift store shopping in So Cal is to get out of LA. This shop just over the border in San Bernardino is a great place to find all the things you secretly hope to discover in LA but can never find. They have some great vintage sport shirts hidden amongst the racks. They have (had) a pretty outstanding collection of Disney "black Diamond" VHS tapes. I come here frequently since it's near my work and their selection is stocked frequently since alot of people come here. They do follow covid protocol so they do have two fitting rooms, they're not letting anyone use them. I find a good amount of stuff here, I look for shoes, scarves, kitchenware, and books here. They take card here, min $5 to use. Color tag sale changes weekly, and on mondays is the 20% discount for senior citizens, student, teacher, and military with id. read more

My favorite thrift store of all time!!! Super inexpensive .79 a shirt. I come here often. I buy 3 bags full of kids clothes since kids grow so fast and I usually spend less than $30. I've bought name brand shoes, clothing and purses. Huge selection of children books sometimes 3 for .99 Staff is nice, store is usually messy but it's not a big deal for me. The front door guy (I think his name is Tom?) is super sweet and it's not a trip to 3 way unless he's working cuz we always see him working the front when we come in lol. This is one of my absolute favorite thrift stores for books. They have a huge selection with the whole back wall lined with bookshelves. The books are in good condition and they are separated nicely in different sections. The children books are so cheap that I feel fine walking out with a huge stack for my son. I try to go a couple times a month and see what's new. The selection of movies is also really good. DVDs and VHS are well stocked and I've scored quite a few hidden gems. Overall the place is pretty cool and fairly clean for a thrift store. Not too many crazy people but an old lady did fart (loudly) with NO SHAME right next to me. Meh, whatever. I have always been a huge supporter of this store, but over the years I have seen the organization change and not for the better. The Montclair store is just an all around bad shopping experience due to the staff who are always rude and in a bad mood. Last I went in there management was giving a pregnant worker such a hard time for drinking water while working at the cash register. I couldn't even imagine working somewhere where I got scolded, in front of shoppers and co-workers, for drinking water while not on a designated break. The retail world isn't for everyone and clearly these ladies, some of which are apart of their management team, need a new line of work. It's shameful compared to how it was 2-3 years ago. read more

I have to say that being a former regular at 3way been coming here for years i decided to get a temp job through an agency and you can imagine how excited i was when they sent me to 3way. They needed alot of help due to covid 19 .. I was in charge of cleaning the hangars and sorting out donations . i was and still am utterly shocked that the bloody poopy peed clothes were mixed with good ones and expected us yo hang them and put on the floor. Last year I donated three truck loads of items because I really loved this store. But lately the employees are rude and unfriendly and the prices have skyrocketed! I'm still seeing some of the items I donated being put out for sale and dresses that I would've sold for a $1 at a yard sale are 12.99, etc. some are priced higher than what I initially paid for them. Sadly my donations this year will go elsewhere. I donate to help those in need but now I realize they won't be able to afford my stuff here. I realize they need to make money but when an old table is $199 or a beat up pair of shoes from target are $10 ?? I'll pass. read more

I shop the kids/house sections mostly. Honestly, I usually walk out with something but rarely have the feeling of "striking gold." I have yet to find a great brand hiding. This is the dirtiest, over priced, unorganized thrift store I have had the displeasure of visiting. The staff is so rude, I mean past the point of rude. I asked for bathroom, woman net to me was given key first...ok, no worries. I stand there waiting and waiting. I asked the woman at the desk if possibly the woman is shopping with the key. She said she woud gocheck and see. She returns and said she was still there, she also had to help her Mom. An extremely rude buttinski at the register asked her why she is checking on the other woman, said it wasn't very long. I told her it was 10 minutes, she debates me on this even tho she was not there when key was given....why???? None of her biz. In the meantime a man comes in and asks for key. In spanish she tells him Im next. OK, I'm still waiting and looking through a rack of clothes placed directly in front of registers. I turn back around and here comes the man RETURNING from the bathroom. I'm like...what??? She said I walked away., didn't know I was next,blah, blah,blah. I told her she new and purposely did not give me the key. She said: Do you still want it or not??? I work in retail, if I ever did that or spoke to acstomer like this, I would be long gone.I was going every Friday after picking up grandsons from school, spent a lot of money here. I kept thinking that they were very racist in here, but did not want to believe it. Now, I know it's true and extremely sad and disappointing. The conclusion of this novel is....never again for me. This place has quite a bit of stuff in there but super busy and can't get through the isle because everyone has a cart and won't let you through. It's a mess in there and customer service isn't too great either. The cashier was snappy with me and didn't give me the time of day. Use to be nice easy fast check out, recently its been up to 6 minutes just to pay. Nice bargains with coupons on tuesdays and thursdays.
