Really sad. This was my favorite thrift store until now. Bought a baby swing saturday after confirming with the employees that it did in fact work. Put batteries in and discovered it did not. Drove back the sunday to see what my options were and they were closed. Came back again after leaving work early on Monday only to be told 'sorry' and given no reimbursement or help. I do not have a lot of money and could have bought a good amount of clothes for my kids with that money. Im honestly so disappointed at how the situation was handled and that I have to lose money because I was lied to. read more

I love going there on Wednesdays. they have 20%off for seniors. I often find some really fun treasures, They tend to get nice items. Today I found some great name brand purses practically new. The volunteers are very sweet and the money goes for a good cause. In addition to their thrift store we look forward to their annual Feed the Hungry campaign that features a quilt auction, vintage booths, food and a lot of great books. We don't miss it. I would've given 5 stars because they have really nice employees and just like any other thrift store sometimes just what you're looking for, sometimes not. But I had one bad experience. I bought a pair of dress shoes that dug into my Achilles so bad they caused me to bleed (both legs). It's just the way the shoes are designed, not like I had them on too tight. This happened on the worst day possible, in court. I went back the very next morning (less than 24 hours), to ask if they could let me exchange them for something, anything. I explained that I understand they don't offer returns on clothing or shoes but could they do ANYTHING? The manager said "I'm sorry, it says right here we don't offer any returns unless it's electronics". This is after I show her the dried blood on the back of both of my Achilles... I didn't feel very valued or heard. I only paid $5 for the pair so I asked the cashier if I could donate them and she said sure. Other than this terrible experience, I like this thrift store and the employees are usually friendly and happy to help. read more

I am always the most hopeful and optimistic when it comes to thrifting, usually leaving empty-handed, but returning soon after in hopes that some cool, 50 year old woman will bring some goods that she used to treasure in her 20s. Even though this particular store has an unnecessary collection of junk items (like waaay too many outdated china, books, music, etc), unlike other thrift stores like Goodwill or Salvo, you really gotta be open-minded, careful, and CREATIVE with what you see on the racks. It's small, so not much clothing. I got two things from here on two separate occasions and I value(d) them very much. One was a pair of "chinese" maryjanes that I once saw at Urban Outfitters for $10 and I got them for $2-- brand new. My most prized possession, however, is a $3 vintage side purse- small, square black patent leather with gold lining. It was clean and sturdy when I bought it, and still holds a special place in my heart three years later. Things to look out for: -coat rack. Like fur coats (hopefully faux). I saw leather jackets before, and if you know how to tailor, or like to get things tailored, this is the rack you should check out. -shoes. I think they have a great selection of vintage shoes. It's just that, you either have to have large feet or tiny feet... -bags/purses. Unfortunately I don't dig any of the jewelry they hold. But that's all a matter of taste. read more

This place used to be one of the better thrift stores in the area but it has turned into a place for the gathering of over-priced junk. The kitchen items that are sold there are often broken or have missing pieces so it doesn't make any sense why they would even be sold. A lot of the items that are priced there are WAY over-priced; my husband wanted to buy a poncho there to wear for Halloween and they wanted $20 for it! I mean, c'mon, it's a thrift store! An adorable little child's rocking chair I saw there was going for $40 and a lot of other items that should be cheap, like glassware, were also going for $2-5 a piece. Plus, many of the volunteers are cranky and don't speak English very well, which makes it hard to communicate with them. read more

I use to shop there at least 5 times a week. Now, with the new management I visit maybe twice a month. I realize that you get name brand items, but now they are being over priced...THIS IS A THRIFT STORE and looking for bargains, not EBAY prices. A majority of your clients are seniors and low income people looking for a bargain, especially on Senior Wednesday. The new layout is cluttered and difficult to get around. I am handicapped and find it difficult to get through tight spaces. Please review the floor plan and prices for our neighborhood. If you want top dollar for vintage and name brand items, put them on EBAY. I an insulted to see those two and three digit prices. read more

Way way over priced. Use to be an actual thrift store and now they operate on an retail price model. $65.00 for a graphing calculator, $25.00 for a Nerf gun. Their audience is not the same size as eBay, so they need to price accordingly. Your better off going to GoodWill to find a bargain. I too use to go here alot. They are overpriced and they have way too much stuff in that little store. The last time I was there they had a rack with 75 cents posted. Every thing on the rack was JUNK. I understand there is overhead but my goodness THE STUFF IS DONATED. read more

Great store for finding unusual vintage items. I've always found at least one item to take home every time I've gone there. It's clean and organized. The store is very tiny though and the ventilation is not that great, so it can get really stuffy inside, especially on days with a lot of shoppers. Can't say much about the store employees/volunteers since I've never really interacted with them. Prices are fair; I'd say on par with what is offered at Goodwill. The prices don't really bother me. If I want cheaper rates I'll hit the chain thrift stores on sale days. What I like about MCC is that a lot of older families donate stuff here and I'm always finding very cool items (diamonds in the rough). read more
