I had been having great check ups, then they started saying they had concerns. There was also a lot of staff turnover. I would also get phone calls from them, but they were looking for another patient. Recently every time I went in there were "problems". They told me that I had a small cavity and needed to replace a crown. The quote was $400. I showed up today for my appointment ( after being called and told my appointment was tomorrow, but it turned out they were looking for another patient again) and was told it was two cavities and the crown replacement and the total out of pocket would be $800. I told them that was what was quoted, and that a second cavity was never mentioned. I have not had a cavity since I was in my 20's. This seems like they are recommending unnecessary work. I politely let them know that I would not be having the work done and finding a new dentist. I am wondering if the office has been sold recently.

When I called them back to cancel my doctors appointment to accommodate the dentist appointment, they the said that I would have to wait two weeks. I've had a number of extractions in the past, in different states, and have always paid less than $200, so his charge seemed highly unethical.
