My husband goes to Dr. Burket's office for both dental and primary doctor purposes. He actually switched from Summit because he had a bad experience. Dr. Burket took care of my husband, just as we'd expect from any primary doctor. He got to do bloodwork (which Summit deprived him of and said "Just do it next year"). Well my husband has high cholesterol so we wasted a year when we could've been working on it (no thanks to Summit!). Dr. Burket made sure my husband was taken care of. His dental appointment also went well. Now for my own experience - I had one dental appointment last year in 2021 (and I go elsewhere for my primary doctor). Well I had an appointment this year in January but could not make it so when I canceled, they said the next available appointment was in September. I did not want to wait that long so I moved over to another dental clinic. No hard feelings but I wish they were able to hire more hygienists or something. We still highly recommend this office! I think Dr. Burket does a little of everything too (including pediatrics).

This is the best dental office for kids that we've had the pleasure of going to. Every dentist and…read moredental hygienist he has seen has been great about talking him through the process in "kid terms". They have awesome cartoons playing on the ceiling and cheery rooms. I wish I could come here. In addition we lost our insurance when exorbitant 2026 rates kicked in, and Deschutes Pediatric went above and beyond by checking into whether the kids were covered by OHP- (they were, yay!) and the dentist, who knew we had a lot of other expensive costs going on, even reached out and offered to do sealants at no charge for our son. They clearly care a lot about their little patients. Love them!

As much as I didn't want to do that, I felt we had no choice and so I agreed. The appt for anesthesia was more than 2 months out and I was told it would be completely covered with nothing out of pocket. A week before the anesthesia appt, I am told they (anesthesiologists) are collecting a $1100.00 fee because the anesthesiologist is out of network with all insurances. Not one person from Deschutes pediatric dentistry told us or even warned us money may be collected separately. If I was told this 2 months ago when the appointment was scheduled, I could have prepared and saved accordingly. Instead, I'm given a week notice right before Christmas. I'm sure the dentist has $1100 lying around, but I do not. Bad communication, bad training of office staff.

Nothing was really ever fixed I went to another orthodontist who proceeded to ask me who the hell did what they did to my mouth and asked for names and proceeded to tell me what they did was NOT in practice. I was forced back into braces for another 3 years. Over these 3 years I had mentioned this first encounter with braces to many dentists and even oral surgeons all of which had nothing but negative things to say and some of which even had their own similar experiences with them specifically. They all warn of the orthodontists at bluefish and I do as well NOT THE PLACE FOR BRACES JUST ASK AROUND. They are the bottom of the barrel and extremely disrespectful. I had only one bad experience with a cleaning there so as far as that goes I cannot complain. 3 years lots of money down the drain, lots of pain, frustration and all for nothing.

But the view isn't the reason my hubby and I have been patients at River Park for the last seven years. The reason for that is the top notch dental care we receive from Dr. Ben Grieb and his staff. Including the patient chair side staff like dental hygienist Kathy, who does a stellar job of keeping our teeth clean and polished - we each go in three or four times a year to see her and once you've been her patient you see why she has a waiting list. Also, dental assistant Lorraine, who flawlessly assists Dr. Grieb when we need a procedure done, like a beautiful crown I just had "installed". Also the office staff, including Marcie who keeps insurance and personal billing coordinated and Mona who keeps appointments lined up and on the two occasions when my hubby had emergencies was able to get him in the door in nearly an eye blink. Front office staff make a big difference in patient satisfaction with a medical practice whether we all realize it or not. Another reason is that the office is both serene and bubbling with enthusiasm for patient care at the same time. That may sound odd, but you can sense it in the patients too, the good energy everyone seems to have about being there. And let's face it, going to the dentist is not something one looks forward to doing. But River Park slogan, "We treat you like family" really is borne out in the patient care. Still another reason is that the technology used for patient exams and procedures is all in place to provide state of the art dentistry. Not to mention the entire place, from waiting room through exam rooms is sparkling clean. That matters to us in medical offices. But in the end, it all boils down to how one feels about the dentist in charge. We have a lot of confidence in Dr. Grieb who has a high level of skill in dentistry technique as well as chair side manner that are the result of experience in dental practice combined with a passion for excellence in outcome. He is a top notch practitioner and one has the sense that he is completely vested in each patient's care. We appreciate his advice and the time he takes to explain options, we trust his expertise, and we are always extremely pleased with the quality outcome of his work. And it occurs to me, as I write this review, to share that something my husband and I both appreciate is that as a procedure is being done, Dr. Grieb explains what he is doing at each step. Great protocol to relieve patient anxiety, it seems to us! If you're living in Bend and looking for a dental office for top notch dental care, we happily use Yelp to refer you to Dr. Grieb and River Park Family Dentistry.

I have never felt the need to tell people about my dental experience, however, after going to…read moreDenture Artistry, that has changed. This place is amazing! From the moment you walk in, you know things are different. The staff are incredibly friendly, not fake friendly or overly sweet, but genuinely nice. After you are checked in they give you a tour of the facility, tell you about their mission (more on that later), and introduce you to everyone - literally everyone in the building who doesn't have their hand in someone else's mouth - and answer any questions you have. They show you the milling machine they use to make their crowns, implants, veneers, etc. onsite which means you get your new tooth permanent fixed in one day, unlike other places where you get a temporary tooth for a few weeks while your new tooth is being made elsewhere. They also show you the room where they make dentures, which is also pretty neat to see. From what I understand of their mission, the founders of the practice wanted to focus on the most expensive parts of dentistry and make it affordable for everyone. I can attest that they have succeeded, at least in my case. I have had a crown at another facility in Bend and it was a $2,600 shock on my way out the door, after the procedure was done. My entire procedure at Denture Artistry was less than $1,200 for a crown on the same tooth on the other side of my mouth. At Denture Artistry, they give you a FREE exam, complete with 3D imaging, not the old bite wings that cut your mouth. They lay out all the options and discuss your treatment plan with you; with all of the prices up front. Nothing is forced and they don't try to pressure you to get treatment you don't want or can't afford. You will have to pay at the time of service as they don't bill insurance for you. They will however, take your insurance information and fill out the reimbursement form for you to mail to your insurance company. Pretty simple. Even I can do it.
