Since the ones I've tried were baked earlier before being transported, they probably weren't the freshest and consequently were soft and not flaky at all. So I wouldn't be surprised if the products at Cannelle Patisserie were significantly more enjoyable due to freshness. But for Golden Wheat at least I agree with another review that the items I've tried here were "not bad but not awesome either". The croissant dough here is chewy, denser, quite sweet, and not the most buttery in flavor (the aftertaste is more buttery). I've probably liked the plain croissant and the zaatar croissant the most. The zaatar croissant I tried had raw dough in the center and the outside was too dry, but the flavor was good and there was a lot of zaatar swirled throughout. I didn't like the other items I tried. The pain au chocolat (aka chocolate croissant) only has one strip of chocolate, as mentioned in other reviews, and it's very soft chocolate, not a high quality bar. The cinnamon roll is on the bready side (think Asian bakery bread but denser and harder) and the filling isn't super cinnamony, but it's also not overly sweet; personally I prefer the ones from Crust. The almond croissant is very soft and flat, but it felt a bit like I was eating raw dough, and texturally the dough and filling felt sort of similar.

Soft sub buns, tons of stacks of meat, lettuce and tomato or not. No one goes hungry after a sub here. Some deli spots tend to skimp on the protein, but not this place. What I received was ....Corned Beef only...**No Pastrami, with American Cheese , rather than Swiss Cheese. The taste of the corned beef WITHOUT** the American Cheese on it was ....good and the meat was very tender....the meat looked shaved rather than sliced, so it was not at all tough. Very moist. It's true, you almost don't need teeth to chew it, and I had a back tooth extraction six days ago and it was not at all a struggle to chew, which I sincerely appreciate. The taste of the corned beef however, WITH* the American Cheese on it ....tasted way too salty for me & had an unpleasant, after-taste. I always get Swiss Cheese on my Corned Beef sandwiches I also ordered a piece of Strawberry Cheesecake and some Peach Cobbler. The cheesecake was barely sweet, It tastes much like a "sugar free" peach cobbler...or, a "no sugar added", type of bland flavor. I prefer a sweeter tasting strawberry cheesecake, which is more strawberry forward. But the portion size was huge for $5.49. It was a generous, thick slice and looked amazing.
