Our first time here and we were impressed. The Rueben egg roll is my new favorite way to eat a Rueben. I could have eaten 20. I had a Wagyu burger and my wife had a Caesar salad. Both were excellent. I loved the atmosphere and our waitress was outstanding. We definitely will be back. read more

The food was horrendous on Friday. I can't even begin to say how disappointed we were. We have been there before and it was decent I believe they have changed kitchen help . Hope they figure it out soon. read more

We live here. We dine here...but not at McCollum's We made a reservation a week in advance to celebrate our anniversary. We show up five minutes early. We spend that five minutes waiting for the hostess to return to her post. We were then seated and given one menu to share. We waited another 25 minutes without even being asked if we would like a glass of water. At this time, we decided to leave and speak with the manager on our way out. She was very busy bartending When speaking with us, she did seem in a rush to get back to bartending. The night was saved! We walked just up the block to THISTLEDOWN & ROW, who NEVER disappoint!! FIVE STARS!! We won't go back to McCollum's. read more

It seems like a nice place but our experience, particularly food, wasn't great. Service was good, our waiter was patient and friendly as we came as a party of 6 plus kids. What left me puzzled is food. What I loved were fries, round shaped which I thought was rather unusual and just the right amount of salt, crispiness, softness inside. That's about it though. As a main dish I picked prosciutto focaccia and while on paper it looked great, it came out very dry, almost stale, I didn't enjoy it at all. While fries were great, the portion of it was tiny. Like, 10 or 11 fries in a small plate. My partner got a chicken sandwich and it was good. Now, the kids got kids burger which comes with fries too and I swear the kids plate had double the fries compared to my side. We also got kids pasta and it was the same size as someone's pasta from our party. I mean, great value for kids menu items, sure, but I'm just not sure why adult dishes are so slim compared to kids. When they brought the check we noticed two items in it that we didn't order, which we realized after paying for it and looking at the receipt (they use portable terminals and have an option to text you the receipt). Our server corrected the mistake and refunded the difference for the two items we didn't order promptly after we pointed it out but this still left a bad aftertaste for us; we don't always look at receipts and this one would've gone unnoticed for sure, we only looked because total seems a bit too high. I also noticed that the soup upcharge on the menu is $2, but on the check it was $3. Pointed it out to the server too but she didn't do anything about it. It's just a dollar so we didn't press for it, and again, only noticed it because we started looking at the receipt due to unusually high total. Anyway, it was nice to visit, but we won't be back. read more

This place absolutely sucks. I spent an hour and 15 minutes waiting for my food after I ordered. The only thing I got was my goat cheese that was actually cream cheese, particularly tasted like Philadelphia cream cheese After the 3rd time our waiter came over she said they had over 100 people come at once and swamped the kitchen. This looks to be from the wedding party that was happening at this time; my only question and thought I didn't think added up was that the party a buffet style and the staff was cleaning up the party when we were told that. This just wasn't good and wouldn't suggest anyone visiting for one night to go, or visit. Please don't waste your night and also have to suffer from the senior citizen home dropping some residents off for karaoke night on max volume read more

Food was great. Atmosphere on point. Nice hidden gem in Buchanan. Football games were on but did not hinder the vibe. Fall cocktails hit right note. read more

McCollum’s Restaurant & Bar - It was decorated for Halloween. - Wine Bars Near Me - Buchanan, Michigan

Tried the McCollum big salad, was good, nothing over the top. Chicken was grilled and delicious.

Went for dinner and the lemon pepper chicken was amazing and good. The soup was okay and probably wouldn't get it again as the size wasn't very big. I also ordered a side of fries and they came in the same container as the soup. It was very small for 3 dollars. We also had a kids cheese burger at our table and the amount of fries on that was double for a kid which I thought was crazy. The service was fine till I received my check and paid. I had a few items that I didn't order on my check. The server took them off after the fact but the menu said the soup was a $2 up charge and the server said no it's $3. Clearly the menu pricing says $2 in my photo. Anyways, I would recommend double checking your bill before you pay and leave as mine had an extra 10 dollars on it and the receipt that shows me my refund and what was charge doesn't make a lot of sense either. I had friends that I went with but not sure I'll return. read more

One of the worst experiences. First the music was so loud inside the dining room, we moved to the outside patio thinking it would be easier to have a table conversations. However it was just as loud there too, and we had to deal with mosquitoes. To top it off, we waited over THREE HOURS for our dinner order to arrive. We persevered with our out of town guests. The waitress comped the cold entrees but charged for sodas and drinks. Very disappointing experience. read more

Great place! The food is well prepared and service is quick. I especially enjoyed the out door seating in warm weather - now an enclosed space during winter months. My only request is that they vary the music from the hard rock that sometimes blares. read more

Service is always great and food does not disappoint! Nice cocktail menu and there is now an egg roll menu with several different options.

A great new spot in town ,definitely worth a visit! The outdoor seating by the creek is lovely and relaxing. I tried the raspberry chicken, which was perfectly crisp with just the right sweet and savory balance. Service was excellent, everything arrived quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the Pecan Salmon next time! read more

Absolutely Beautiful place great Food! AMAZING Live music!!! -Matt Oken is The Best one Definitely would Recommend

Burgers and fries are awesome! Recommend it. Good atmosphere. The service was outstanding.

The Grant - I'm writing this review while sitting in front of my peaceful waterfront view, with a charming park just beyond--part of me wants to keep this hidden gem all to myself. The hotel, which is part of an already incredible restaurant, is absolute perfection. While the staff are still getting used to the hotel side of things, don't let that fool you--they're incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help. The food and drinks are not only delicious but also fairly priced for the quality. And I haven't even begun to gush about how quaint and lovely the town is--it's the kind of place that quietly steals your heart. read more

I continue to find more and more I love every time we come to McCollum's. Drinks are always a 10/10, food specials are never lacking. I HAD to try the wagyu burger tonight and was not disappointed in the least. Truly underrated item is the cranberry whipped goat cheese appetizer. We were practically licking the bowl clean. Our server Lindsey was attentive and built great rapport with us. What a wonderful addition to the area. read more
