The drain was a large 4" PVC cap that I had nothing in the tool box that would open it . Initially I headed for Home Depot when it occured to me,Harbor Freight may have a more cost effective solution. Bingo! Not only did the " oil filter" wrench for $9.99 do the trick but,it was invaluable when I reassembled the filter housing and needed a certain leverage on the clamp. This gives me confidence that if you shop smart with an idea of the outcome you need, Harbor Freight is likely to have a low priced solution.

The manager and sales associate both suggested that I ask the person who gave it to me to provide the receipt. I could not believe they would ask me to do that. This was the return of a small flashlight that looked like a lantern. I was returning it within 6 days from Christmas. I was not asking for cash, just a simple exchange. When I realized the adaptor didn't fit my presta valve, I brought it back to get help. The label says it EASILY fits presta and schrader. For the budget price, which is 1/4 the cost at Home Depot or Lowe's, I can deal with the arrant abilities from time to time. Great business.
