This McCoys in Galveston's customer service at the register is below par. They are slow to help, slow to get to the customer and overall don't care about customer service. I shop there but otherwise try to stay out of this store. They are my last resort for buying supplies. read more

If I could give this place a 0 stars I could. We walked in wanting to rent a floor sander and purchase the materials that went along with it, but when we got there, not a single person looked interested in assisting us. This lady finally came up to us and asked how she could help and she just literally pointed in a direction after giving our explanation, she didn't move from her seat, she just pointed in the direction we should go. We get the equipment and ask her how to use it, she says that all the materials we need to complete the job were on the stands next to it, and they were not. She told us she would call someone to help us. We literally waited for 15 minutes while several employees doing nothing passed by and told us that someone was coming. Finally, an older gentleman comes and HE DOESNT EVEN KNOW HOW TO WORK THE MACHINE! We walked out very diappointed. read more

I've been dealing with Mc Coys for a long time. They are my go to store. Built a house and they provided a lot of wood for me building this house. Joe is my service guy, great service, great people from front counter to personable manager to yard guys . I enjoy going to Mc Coys. This is not a paid PSA. Ha ha read more

This is my go to home improvement store. Only a few items in each category but they are quality so that's all you really need. Easy in and out store with plenty of very helpful employees. Love this place. read more

I walked in and was helped immediately. Joe walked me to the aisle I needed and made sure I got the right item. He found a couple of pieces of scrap wood that I'd need instead of buying more than I needed. He went over and beyond helpful. I'll definitely be back, especially after the maddening nightmare at Home Depot. read more
