Fascia crew showed up next day to repair, replace and paint any rotted wood. Roofing crew showed up at 6am and they were done with the installation that same evening. Tarps were placed over the plants and ground near the house, even over the pool. Next day, gutter crew showed up to re-install gutters. I worked with Blake Hamilton throughout the whole process and this young man knows his craft. We elected to go out of town for a couple of days to spare the dog and us the hammering, lol. It was a great decision. Blake texted, called and even sent drone photos and video to keep us up to date on the progress. I HIGHLY recommend these guys. Installing shutters on three large windows look just over an hour and the installers were efficient and careful. The quality is excellent and so far, no issues. Our only issue: It took a long time between order and installation, close to two months. But the Christmas/New Year's holidays were involved, so it might be faster at other times of the year. But if you are willing to put in the time, you can file a report with the BBB, Have signs made warning before you buy, and place them around town, and on your car. file a complaint with HADD, Contact all elected officials by letter and phone, contact the TRCC, this may be costly but worth it! File a complaint with the Federal trade Commission. Most of all contact the city and review city records. Will try to go after the subcontractors also. There are many licensing boards. Plan a peaceful protest in front of the business with your signs. Try the news stations. Plane to visit all surrounding cities and ask for permits to be declined until the house is fixed. Please wish me luck on this endeavor! Whether you build a million dollar home or a $165,000 home, there should be integrity! All we want is a house done right, we aren't after perfection, just a house done right, that is safe and comfortable! We want a driveway, where soil was washed out from under it to be corrected, we want floor tile that is professionally installed, not where it stops a inch away from cabinets, we want a roof with sealed shingles and all lumps and bumps removed from roof under shingles, we want insulation placed in the attic, we want the master tub that is tiled up the side to have something at the top other than exposed rough tile, we want a window that's not bowed, we want painted walls and trim that aren't poorly and amateurish done! We want the Hardie siding that was cut too short to be re done, We want the gaps, cracks and damaged grout to be replaced. We want all out leading doors sealed, so you can't the day light through them. We want window screens on windows, We would prefer the attic door stairs installed correctly with correct size screws not finishing nails, we would like the wall plates and receptacles installed flush with wall, not to be a fire hazard! We would like the laundry receptacles to be ground fault protected. We would like a dedicated plug for the refrigerator. We would like the air vents properly strapped/secured up and not touching the others! We would like kitchen cabinets that you can actually open with out bending all the way down and grab from the bottom. We would like the carpet spot,dent in bedroom, as if someone left a hunk of padding out, a hole you dip down in, as you walk. Lankford, we aren't asking for much, as any respectable builder would have done these things, by the way we had no construction foreman, nor do you get a builders walk through, of course this isn't the million dollar home but the $165,000 home that is being purchased! I refinished my front door once; they worked quick and did a good job…read more Later, when there an accident shattered the glass (conditions mysterious, but teenagers were involved) I used them again. I took 6 pictures with my phone - showing the damage, and how much the door had weathered in 7 years - emailed them to Reed Door. They got right back with an estimate to repair and an estimate to replace. Whoo boy. Time for a new door. The people at the showroom were helpful but not pushy. We ordered Thursday evening and the crew was out the next day. They arrived when they said they would. They worked fast. Job came in $60 under the estimate. The door was pricey, but very well made - the panes of safety glass over the small pieces of leaded glass will make it easier to clean, safer, more secure and leak less heat. It looks great. At lunch, I mentioned that I was having Reed Door replace my door. Two other guys at the table had also used them; both said they'd been treated very well. I adore my new door.
