I had to ask that the girl who did it NOT be a part of my care, again. Then, later on I had a bridge come off they put on. Called the office, left VM, sent emails. NOTHING! So, I found another office that put it back on in a day. I can not recommend this office. It's like an assembly line in there. And...don't get me started with the DOG in the Office.

They were FANTASTIC!!! They actually LISTENED to what I wanted to have done not like the other place with THEY wanted done. Now, I have Humana and with them, there are times when any type of professional established has to be approved before you are seen. NOT Tomoka Dentistry. They even gave me a same day appointment!!! (because they had a cancellation) BUT, my next appointment was booked a lot sooner than other practices I've been to. Tomoka D. also took more new abdaptations and indepth pictures of my mouth. Dr. Schimenti was exceptional, very professional but down to earth type of person also. Her team (including the front desk personnel) were nice and friendly. They also told you what they were going to do before they began any work. Well, a week later, (WHAT? Earlier than most places) I was back in the chair getting my 2 new temporary front caps fitted. (I go back in 2 weeks, because of the holiday) And will have the permit ones fixed. I am extremely happy. It took 2 previous dentists to finally find the perfect one. I'm very excited to not have to pay for her teeth anymore" during his wedding toast. That's how bad my teeth are- 2 root canals, 20+ cavities, a space retainer, whitening, removal of 6 teeth, a dental implant... and i'm only 30. So- I know the good and the bad for dentists. My verdict: Dr. Patel is awesome!! 1. His staff is wonderful- very nice, efficient, and courteous. Waiting room is nice too. 2. Equipment, rooms, - all very modern, good, and CLEAN. None of that froo froo stuff so you know what he's billing is going to the important stuff... not to those froo froo things like decorations that you see at other places b/c you know those places are just billing you higher to pay for it. 3. Dr. Patel- is the real star here. -He tells you what he's going to do and why BEFORE he does it. I hate it when I sit there and think... what's going on? -He also tells you what it's going to feel like BEFORE he does it. -He regularly checks in to make sure you're feeling all right, tells you when you're halfway or almost done. This is the best part, so many times I wonder.. are we done yet? -He's worked on my whitening, extraction of tooth, and implant... and all the complications that happen b/c that's just what my teeth do always. He's very quick at getting the work done so you don't have to sit there with your mouth open for longer than you need to, and he makes sure the work is done properly with no cutting of corners. -He's a non- yelling doctor too. I hate it when dentists lecture me.. UGH, i'm a grown woman, I understand what you're saying...I just choose not to do it (*cough* flossing *cough*) No need to yell at me. Dr. Patel treats you like a grown up and thank you for that! Go here- I never have any pain.... so if you're afraid of pain- try out Dr. Patel first. He'll make sure you are good to go! I have been going to Patel dental regularly for 2-3 years and have repeatedly mentioned my fears…read more Suffering from intermittent tooth pain since 6/25/2026, I finally visited Patel dental on 7/15/2026. Absolutely terrified of the prospect of having extensive dental work and absolutely worn-out suffering with tooth pain for over 2 weeks, I must have angered Darshan Patel. His egotistical driven anger took over for which I suffered even more pain from his brutal treatment, repeatedly poking my injured tooth which is absolutely appalling for a health care professional. He had already identified the problem tooth with an x-ray and exam, so his repeated poking was unjustified. Patel had only bad news including a referral for a root canal which heightened my fear and anxiety. Just an extremely terrifying day and I will never go back. The antibiotics that he prescribed did help, however, still having difficulty with tooth and also another crown on other side, that Patel has been so-called 'watching' for over a year but never really admitted that the previous dentist failed to install crown properly. I am still very troubled from July's horrible dental visit. You cannot imagine what it's like going through life afraid of everything, and then to endure an angry dentist resulting in brutal treatment from a so-called health professional. appalling!

VA gave me referral , was seen by a Dr. Yero that was not personable and rude . I had 2 teeth…read moreremoved by an oral surgeon and also had consult with wife's dentist that stated I needed partial on top. This dentist Yero stated I needed all my teeth pulled and dentures. The VA dentist also agreed with partial. Don't go to his provider . The office manager stated he would amend the note she sent to VA so I could receive the payment rial that I was sent here for. The VA stated he never amended anything and they refuse to provide my partial. I had to give a star to post his but they shouldn't get one star.

They needed to make a new one and change the existing posts. The bridge is extremely ugly and uncomfortable (doesn't look like teeth - even my friends have questioned the work) and it's very tight. Currently, it is 'stuck' and I am unable to remove it. When I called and explained the situation, I was told the earliest anyone can see me is a week away. Funny how when I needed a lot of very expensive work they were able to schedule me for the next day but for a simple 5 minute job, the wait is a week. On a positive note, I really do like Dr. Silva but I do question the competency of the dental lab he uses.

After getting a root canal, I was told to go to a dentist and have them remove the temporary…read morefilling with a permanent one. The root canal was done through a bridge that had been installed over a decade ago. After they installed the permanent filling, 5 days later, my bridge fell off while I was eating. I called back with the problem and was told to come back and they would reattach it. After a lot of "prep" work, the reattachment charges were over $500 and 30 days later it came off again. Needless to say, I wasn't going back there to let them try again and CHARGE me again. The competent dentist that did reattach it said they almost destroyed one of the teeth that was an anchor, making the reattachment difficult. STAY AWAY AND DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

He actually had hired Trish, an excellent hygienist who had worked at one of my previous dentists, who had retired. I thought one of that dentist's tricks on one tooth could work again on two adjacent teeth. It was experimental, but Dr. Maxwell thought of a way to proceed that would not cost that much, but test the idea. He did it differently (by accident!), but it worked and I still have that bridge six or seven years later! Great staff, friendly wife who works the front desk sometimes. His skills are exceptional, for example, the little strips of paper he uses, he often only needs one, one time or two, and gets the right fit. Of all my dentists throughout life, he is surely the best by skill, knowledge, and personality!
