I purchased a used $10,000 2017 Chrysler Pacifica back in January of this year. After driving the car for only 100 miles the check engine light popped up (they cleared the codes). I drove it back and had to fight with them to even look at the problem. It was a bad cam shaft and I then had to fight to get them to "fix" that. It took two months to fix and when I got the car back the oil is now a black sludge. They refused to look at the problem at all this time and told me black sludge is normal (laughable). Do Not Trust This Dealership - Deceptive, Incompetent, and Dishonest If you are considering doing business with any McDonald Car group, run in the opposite direction. My experience has been an absolute nightmare--filled with lies, delays, damage to my vehicle, and complete incompetence. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. 169 Days in the Shop - A Car I Couldn't Even Drive I purchased my vehicle on July 9, 2025, and within two weeks, the dealership fired its entire staff due to what I was told were shady practices and poor management. That alone should have been a red flag. Since then, my car has been in their shop for 169 out of the 252 days I have owned it--67.3% of the time. From the start, this dealership showed its true colors--selling me a car with an engine full of sludge, then botching the repair by forgetting a crucial part and forcing me to wait an additional three months for them to fix their mistake. They left my vehicle sitting in the Virginia sun for over a month before agreeing to repair it--only doing so because they knew I had a strong legal case against them for selling a car in this condition. Finally Returned--Damaged and Devalued After 119 days of waiting for this last round of repairs, my vehicle was finally returned to me--with a dent in it. Not only did they take months longer than necessary, but they also returned my car damaged. Their lack of care and professionalism is truly staggering. To make matters worse, they charged me $500 for repairs that were only necessary due to their own negligence. Instead of properly fixing the vehicle, they replaced the engine with a Frankenstein engine--a mix-and-match engine that dramatically depleted the value of my car. Rather than making things right, they left me with a vehicle worth far less than what I paid for it. Refusal to Provide Transparency Despite multiple requests, they never provided pictures of the removed parts to prove that the repairs were even completed. I was also never given a valid explanation for why a repair that should take 6 to 10 hours per industry standards took over three months to complete. Bill McDonald, Brandon Bethume, and Casey Hiltz Cannot Be Trusted These individuals played key roles in the deception, delays, and complete disregard for professionalism throughout this ordeal. If you are dealing with any of them, be extremely cautious. Final Warning to Potential Customers I have zero trust in this dealership, their mechanics, or their management. The only reason they even attempted to complete these repairs was because they knew they were legally obligated. If they had their way, I would have been left with a defective vehicle and a mountain of repair costs. I will be filing formal complaints with the Attorney General's Office, the Better Business Bureau, and every major consumer protection agency. I will also be warning potential customers at all three of their dealership locations about their shady practices. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, do not do business with this dealership. They are scammers, and I would never trust them with another dime of my money. read more

My wife and I purchased a truck in February from Pedro. I had spoke to Pedro earlier in the week and he was honest and up front about the vehicle we were considering. We drove over 2 hours to test drive and inspect and the vehicle was exactly as described. The purchase portion was flawless as well. Very unprofessional. We bought what we thought would be the perfect family vehicle for our growing family after the birth of our son and we even bought the extended warranty. Had it for less than a month and check engine lights came on and service messages appeared. Brought it in to the service department and they didn't work well with our warranty company. Terrible. I emailed and asked for pictures on a used vehicle and never received them. So I called and spoke to a B.H. on the phone and again asked for pictures to be emailed to me. She told me she would call me the next day to follow up. I said "No. Don't call me. Use email." She tells me "If I don't hear from you then I will have to call you". WHAT THE HELL??? We traded in an equinox looking for something bigger for our family with ability to tow. I will say that I will NEVER purchase or reccomend this dealership. We were told before we test drove it that it needed a leaf spring replaced and they were waiting for that part. Fast forward to test driving the truck and we asked how long until the leaf spring wouod be fixed to which the salesman tells us "oh that was a different truck, my bad". So we purchased the truck, we knew it wouldnt be perfect but did not expect what came next. The Exhaust manifold has a leak, the leaf springs are broken, the front springs are broken, the brake caliper hoses and mechanics in the front had to be replaced. This all totals well over $6000 for a truck we just agreed to pay $20,000 for! Even the dealership doing the work said the truck shouod not have been sold in this manner due to the dangerous effects if something was to have given free while driving the truck on the highway! This has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a dealership. I left a review on google to which they replied asking me to call. I have called several times and left messages with no response whatsoever. This is the type of business that makes people not trust dealerships! Do better people! read more

I dropped my car off there for body work and when I picked it up my check engine light was on.Ok maybe a coincidence so I took it to Mercedes and was asked if I recently had body work done and of course my answer was yes. Also I have a Bluetooth aftermarket that was not working later to find I needed to turn my phone volume up silly me.I thought they were responsible so I called them and they didn't know anything about it not playing.User error. I brought back my lease for the early pull ahead and Martin was my salesman. He didn't answer questions very well but Amy who helps with the purchase was helpful. I talked while setting up OnStar with my salesman in the car about transferring Sirius from my other car and mentioned I didn't see Sirius on the screen. He offered to help me set that up, I said I could do it. The next day I contact Sirius and am told it isn't even installed in the new car. Told Martin about it and he then tells me that Sirius is with certain trim levels and I didn't pick the trim level that includes Sirius. After complaining and asking what he could do I got an answer that they would give me $100 credit towards the price of me doing it myself (finding a place to install it and pay for it). What!!? I had no idea that Sirius wasn't already all installed in all new cars. I have had the car less than 24 hours and am getting no help. I wasn't aware it wasn't in the car already or that it would take pulling the dash apart to install it. The $100 offer came from the manager Tom. I wouldn't recommend going here ever. 3 years ago I had an awesome salesman who is no longer there. I am so very disappointed. I'm a loyal lifelong customer to many places and they just permanently lost my business. Update*** after MULTIPLE phone calls with the salesman and the manager they have finally agreed to pay for the installation of Sirius. I was first offered $100 credit, then told I could add the cost to my loan. After explaining the lack of information and offers from the salesman I was called back with the offer to have it installed and they would send a check. At the end of the day, making your customer happy is a top priority. Whether it be a major issue or something as small as a radio station. Recurrent customers only happen when the leave happy each time. I hope this whole situation improves the service. read more

I called yesterday to inquire the cost of an oil change for my Scion XB. I mentioned that it takes 5W20 oil. The service person mentioned that it would be approximately $31. and then there is also a $5 rebate. I felt that the price was fair and would save me the time in returning to Labadie in BC, of which it usually costs me just under $30. I scheduled the appointment for today. Also, I inquired about getting a new engine air filter depending on the cost, and only if it was needed. I talked to Bob in parts and they said it would be approximately $15. plus tax. I agreed to get that serviced too. When I arrived early today, Cody tells me the rebate does not apply to the type of oil I need for my car....so after discussing it further, I asked what the final bill might be. He said around $47. My final requests were to only replace the engine oil filter if it needed it, and to call or text me if the final bill would be over $50. He said the car would be ready in approximately 1 hr. and he would call or text. I didn't receive a call or text, but headed back to the Service Center after 1 hr. and 15 min. Cody met me at the door and when I inquired if the car was done he said yes. The final bill was $54.88. I really feel that there is no reason to return to the service center as Cody did not follow thru with what I asked. He had no apology or explanation. I'm disappointed and will return to Labadie in Bay City, where they value me as a customer. I feel that the service department used "bait and switch" to get me to go there. Unfortunately, they did not stick to what they promised. I left with Cody wishing me a Merry Christmas..... not satisfied. I wish I would have read the reviews about the service center before I gave them a try. Still hoping to hear from McDonald Service with compensation for misquotes. read more

I had a great experience buying a car that I wanted, not needed, from a salesperson, Janelle Gatzke, that was extremely helpful. That was what made this car buying experience an enjoyable one - the person on the other end. The takeaway major points that I would like to make sure that are recognized of this excellent buying experience (if you don't read the whole review): - This was an easy experience to work out with awesome (and extremely friendly) staff (Janelle Gatzke) remotely and online. This review is a reflection of the person, and if the rest of the dealership is like this, you are in good hands. Let me start by I am more motivated to buy a vehicle by very low pressure sales tactics. I was working out a deal on a similar car, a state away, but the sales person was high pressure, unresponsive, short with me, and insisting to close the deal without working out any details. When I tried to close the deal, they did not call or email me back the rest of the day, was closed the next day, and finally got back to me late the next morning, or 48 hours later. I am glad the deal hit that road block and I had that buffer. In that span, I widened my search radius, and I came across McDonald GMC in Saginaw, Michigan. I messaged about a vehicle and everything from there on was straight forward. I reached out to the dealership regarding the model I wanted (used vehicle) - wanting to work out as much as I could remotely. From here on out, the car, the deal, and the communication was easy and straight forward. I was able to find the vehicle I was looking for, in the trim option I wanted, and the price up front, which was nice and easy. I reached internet sales representative, Janelle Gatzke, to work out a deal. As for the price, we were not able to budge on that, but she was able to have the car delivered to my door... 250 miles away - that was even sweeter of a deal. No bait and switch, no "what do you want your payment to be", none of that. That was it; that simple. Janelle was very good with returning all calls and questions, emails, texts... all of it. Not pushing the issue of making time to go in and drive the car knowing I was 250 miles away. She emailed me Monday morning and the deal was done by Monday afternoon. That simple. Janelle Gatzke was very nice and awesome to chat with, was able to get me videos and answers quickly, and was a great sales representative to work with - no pressure (which was refreshing for once). Finalizing the deal was quick and easy. I had my financing and rate approved, and was able to work with the finance department, to finalize the paperwork. There was some small discrepancies in the numbers, but I referred to Janelle to send me the documents to read over, and was able to get it straightened out with financing (removing unnecessary add-ons, etc.). I know she works for McDonald GMC but it felt like she was trying to satisfy all parties involved to get a deal done . It was a low pressure, well explained, experience. The car was delivered 250 miles to me the next day, I repeat the next day, by an awesome pleasant team. We had all the paperwork and financing signed within 10 minutes, keys in my hand, and they were off. Overall - this car buying experience was awesome. I was able to get the deal on the car I had been searching for, done remotely in a single day, and delivered 250 miles to my door the following day. You can't beat that. I am glad that my other deal hit a roadblock and the sales person didn't return my calls/messages, and I was able to cross paths with Janelle Gatzke. She keep things (and the deal) straight forward, honest, and easy... online, on the phone, and via text. I was very happy with my experience. I really wanted to call someone and talk to them about our experience this Saturday when we dropped our leased Cadillac off due to the lease expiring, I have Never felt so out of place as I did that day, first we walked in the door and 1 man just stood up from his desk and said what can u do for you, we told him we were turning our lease in, he walked up to my husband and I and said do you have both faubs? We handed them to him and started walking around and then he said I need a copy of your drivers license, so my husband gave it to him, we continued to look around, you would of thought we were invisible, , NOT 1 salesperson asked us if we were interested in something, or no hellos, not a dang thing, Now wouldnt you think that when someone is dropping of a lease, they might want another one?? Wouldnt you even ask? Or say how was your lease experience?? Anything??? NOPE not here, absolutely nothing from anyone!! There was all salespeople in there and we seen a total of 2 other customers, out of probley 8 salespeople, who just sat and stared at you not willing to engage on any sort of conversation whatsoever. It was look like, we were bothering them just by being there, it was quite obvious they do not care about you unless you tell them right off the bat, it's pretty sad when a business judges people and wont even give you the time of day after spending over 26,000.00 on a car you leased from them, got nothing in return, not Even a thank you or have a good day or merry Christmas, nothing!! This review pertains specifically to the service department. I wish I didn't have to write this review because I've always recommended them because of the phenomenal price they offer for an oil change. I would no longer recommend them, and rather say steer clear because it now makes sense how they can offer a $14 oil change. Just as any typical dealership they lie about the problems your car is having. They told me I had a bad oil leak, when in fact after consulting with two mechanics there is indeed no oil leak and they had spilled oil all over the back of my engine. After degreasing the engine and dying the oil, no leak was found when the back of my engine had been absolutely covered after having it changed here. Very sad to have to write this review and as you will see by my other reviews, I do not write bad reviews without proper cause. read more

I got in a accident on 9/12/16, just some front end damage. Mcdonald told me it takes 18 estimated days for it to be fixed, so the first date they told me it should be done 9/30/16, one of the workers working on it his kid was sick so he had to call in and then they couldn't work on it so they told me 10/6/16 it would be fixed, well I wake up today and grab my phone ready to call and go get my car and this is the second time they pushed it back they are telling me I have to wait till around 10/12/16, they have had 2 excuses of why they can't get it done. my insurance company suggested this repair center but never again, I should of went to anyone else read more

I bought a vehicle from this dealer a few years ago, so I went back because I was in need of a new one. Very dissapointed with this dealership this time. I looked at a few vehicles online and called to set up an appointment to look at them. I show up to my appointment, and the person I was supposed to meet didn't know about the appointment, and gave me to another person to help me, and they didn't have the vehicles ready. I ask where the vehicles are and they say they have no idea what I'm talking about, they say they don't have the vehicles. I ask if they can check, and they only ever found out about one of the vehicles. Apparently it was at their other lot, 45min. to an hour away, with a major engine problem. I was not told about this problem when I made the appointment, which I wasn't happy about. I ended up looking at some other vehicles they had, and apparently they weren't sure when they had gotten them in. They also were unaware if they had the safety check done, and they hadn't been cleaned up. I asked if I could have someone take a look at the vehicles, so they obliged and got a mechanic to come over. Instead of looking over the first vehicle he just asked what I wanted checked out. I then took took him to the second vehicle and when we were 10 feet away he saw it and said that is gonna be a money pit, he wouldn't even look at it. I ended up taking the first vehicle because I was in need of something and it was the only thing in the area in my price range. My final complaint is they were running a special where you get a free gas card with purchase, and guess what....I didn't get one. We had a similar experience of the disorganization and incompetence of this dealership this Saturday 5/23/15 whilst trying to test drive a NEW Cadillac ATS4. \ My wife called and made an appointment with "Henry" for 9:00am. She had explained the previous week that she wanted to drive an ATS4 Coupe to potentially replace her leased BMW 335xi. We arrived at the prearranged time. Since we had an appointment I naturally expected that the vehicle would be washed and ready for us to test drive. After 20 minutes of failing to find the coupe which he told my wife he had, Henry showed us a Sedan on the lot. this vehicle was so caked in grime that I could write my name on it. We got in the car and Henry got in the back. We pressed the start button and...well...nothing happened. The battery was completely drained. Henry tried in vain to start the car with a dead battery. Then he toddled off and got a battery charger, hooked it up...and...yes, you guessed it, nothing happened. The cold start battery was dead also. After having already bragged about being in the business for 30 years and then 25 minutes of useless and frankly laughable apologies, we decided to leave since, we had other business to attend to. He then proceeded to assure us that he had started this vehicle the previous day to check that it would start. i suggest that this vehicle may have sat on his lot and not run for several months and a start up on a low battery would probably have drained the battery, if Henry had not had the presence of mind to run the engine to charge it. After wasting 2.5 hours of our morning, we then gave Henry a chance to redeem himself by providing us with a 24 month lease price and base deposit for a fully loaded ATS4, under conditions my wife provided to him before we left. A few hours later he left a voice message asking us a bunch of questions we had already answered without providing any price information! What a fool!!! This dealership is obviously incompetent and has no clue as to how to handle customers. VERY bad advert for Cadillac and a TERRIBLE ad' for this dealership. REALLY my rating for this dealership would be negative stars if I could. We will NOT be back. read more

In response to a current dealership internet advertisement for a 2000 Plymouth Prowler, I was unwittingly involved in a selling process that was unacceptable and personally upsetting. I called the dealership and was connected to what I thought was a dealership representative. During the conversation, I became suspicious of an unusual proposed sales approach (internet purchase of the vehicle, sight unseen, just wire the money) and asked the gentleman his position within the McDonald organization. To my surprise he said he was not a member of the McDonald organization, but a private buyer empowered by the dealership owner to sell this vehicle. In response to my subsequent question of who owned the vehicle, the reply was the dealership, not him. When I expressed concern with purchasing a vehicle from someone other than its owner, the response was that I should not worry about it, and that he would handle everything on the dealership's behalf. In my mind that answer raised additional questions. As a result, I called the dealership management, namely the Pre-Owned Vehicles Manager and the Financial Manager to verify the seller's status and the vehicle ownership. To my surprise, neither manager returned my phone call, but the sellor called to express dissatisfaction with my attempts to contact the dealership. How did he know I called the dealership, and why was he upset ? He then suggested that if I did not trust him, I should not purchase the vehicle. At that point all credibility, confidence, trust, and the perspective of purchase vanished. Gosh...purchasing a vehicle from someone other than the owner, without confirmation by the owner ...... I don't think I should be expected to do so. I have a simple request: rather than posting professed apologies, alluding to confusion, misunderstanding and miscommunication, correcting policies and procedures, etc........could someone from the dealership management please call me directly (no apology necessary). It would demonstrate to me that the dealership is truly concerned about my discomfort, and would be much appreciated. read more

I have been thinking about robbing a bank for a few weeks now and I just had a feeling that my current get-away vehicle, a 17 year old GMC pickup truck, was not quite up to the task. I wheeled in to McDonald's lot and ask to see Mr. Bill Urbanski. We talked for a bit and I explained to him what my plans were. He told me that if I was planning to rob a bank that I would surely get caught. He said that if I was going to get caught, the last thing that I would want is to be caught driving a 17 year old truck. We both laughed. I told him that I didn't have much money, OBVIOUSLY. So we strolled over to the Economy Lot for a quick look-see. Suddenly, off in the not too distant...distance, there it was. A brand new 10 year old pickup truck that was the same color and everything. Bill told me that if I went to the bank and asked to borrow some money that they would loan me some as long as I paid it back. I was like, REALLY? YOU CAN DO THAT??? When I walk into a car dealership or furniture store I automatically assume that the team is sketchy and out for my money. I mean, most of the time that is the case. But for McDonald GMC Cadillac, it is not. I trusted each and every person I met because they were all so genuine and just wanted to help me out. My experience from start to finish was spectacular. First, the receptionist greeted me with a smile and offered coffee or water as soon as I walked in. Then, the sales person I worked with helped me find what I needed with ease. He was funny, had a real interest in getting to know me and simply helped me. He was not trying to scam me into anything. I have family members that work with car sales so I know what I am doing when purchasing one. I got hungry and they showed me to the Café in the service area. It was decorated so cute. I have never seen anything like it. The woman working there greeted me and I got a delicious sandwich and some free popcorn. Returned it for a recall wed at8 30 am i live in Midland. i was called at about 11 00 am to pick it up,as i was about to leave all my dash lights came on.went inside and told them . Iwas told they must not have got the wires pluged back together .while waiting went acrossthe street for coffee.they said they would call me in about a hour . with no call i returned home they called about 4 30, I was told my sensor in the front wheel was bad,I told them the light was not on when it was brought in .and what about the other lights ? Bob said they would check further. thursday i call bob the lights are still on ,but it is the gas sensor in gas tank. But is not are fault we will charge you to fix it . wheel sensor $200.00 i was afraid to ask about the gas sensor, but alls well ,I stoped at a repair shop in Midland got it fixed .
