I have never had a problem with McDonald Chevrolet in Millington. I have been going there since 2002. I have bought all my cars from them and they have done all my oil changes, etc. I trust this dealership and I have great confidence in them because they have always done right by me. What went wrong was is that I looked at the paperwork finally and I see that I did pay 2400 something dollars for the taxes and then I get to the DMV and I'm charged $2700 more for taxes because ally financial doesn't know how to get the bill of sale out when we even showed them the fax number to fax it to. Yes, you got that correct Mark smothers. I was taxed twice on this 2024 Traverse!! I even told the DMV that I was trying to get help from y'all, but you kept hanging up on me. Zero star. And do you think I'm gonna bring my vehicle to you to ever help me. Think wisely mark. You can tell Rob he's not a good loan officer. So I took my 2019 Silverado last custom legacy to McDonald's Chevy after I hit a paint can in the road. They had my truck for two weeks to repair..I was told my truck would be ready by Friday (9/11/21). No truck on Friday, or Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday and on Thursday (9/16/21) I told them I was coming to get my truck. The said everyday it wasn't done that it was taking so long because they had to remove All of the paint from underneath the truck. I was told the truck wasn't quite done but all they had left to do was replace some of the black moldings... All they did was spray a can of undercoating that I specifically told them not to use! They cleaned no paint off at all! You can scrape the undercoating off with your fingernail and still see the white paint below. read more

I called them several days in advance to set up an appointment. When I called them the morning of the salesperson who I was scheduled to meet with was not even in the office. I arrived at the dealership (on a Saturday morning) and set up with a new agent. About 10 minutes in to meeting him and talking about the car he sent me to the waiting area and took another appointment. I waited an hour before I was called back to talk about buying the car. When I asked about the price he was dodgy and avoided the conversation. I then waited 4 hours in the waiting room while they tried to figure out how to finance the car, on a Saturday morning. There were 5 or 6 other people sitting around doing nothing and I still waited hours before someone came to talk with me. It was only when I told them I was going to leave and buy a car somewhere else that they came out and gave me a finance offer. I ended up buying the car and a week later the wheel bearing goes bad and starts making noise. The only reason they get two stars is because I bought the car. Worst customer service experience in 43 years. Had an appointment, called to be sure they were ready for me... arrived early. Was told to wait while salesman waited on a customer without an appointment. Sent info in via text two weeks early, was told paperwork was ready and they had several cars in my price range. When I arrived, and after a long wait was told a much higher price. After an hour, I decided to stop wasting my holiday time and leave. They blocked my car in so I could not leave. And to think I drove over an hour from Bay City and back for this. Not worth the drive or the wait. read more

I spoke with Rita, Internet sales manager, several times regarding an Equinox that I had planned to come look at. The vehicle was going to be picked up in Milliington and brought to the Saginaw location for me, since I live 45+ miles just from Saginaw. I had an appointment at 4:30 to see the vehicle. I arrived and was told that the vehicle had been sold but they had another one similar for me to look at. I'm not sure what was similar about it, other than it was an Equinox. It was a different year, different miles, different price, and it was FWD and not AWD. They did nothing to try and make it better. I barely got an apology. I will not recommend McDonald Chevrolet to anyone I know. read more

Good place to take your vehicle. They have cheap oil changes, nice people, and a welcoming environment surrounding the place. I have taken my F-150 in for a few things such as oil changes, sensor repairs, and a pump replacement. They get me in and get me out. Free popcorn and coffee in the lounge and free WiFi along with a tv and some chairs and couches. Only downside is I believe they fixed the wrong thing during my recent visit, but it was partially my fault for not recognizing what was the original issue. Nice place. read more

This place has turn into such a joke. We only have our business to McDonald because of Kirt West. I couldn't have been happier with him and his service. Upon bringing my truck in to be serviced a couple weeks ago, I was informed that he had retired. I contacted him personally and was told by Kirt himself that he didn't retire, and he's in fact working for Dave Hall in Marlette because he was tired of the lies and disrespect that goes around McDonald. Even after having my Silverado serviced a couple weeks ago, it again needed service last weekend. I called first thing Monday morning to schedule it and made sure that I'd have a loaner while it's getting fixed, especially with it being Labor Day Weekend l. Tony assured me that since I maintain full coverage insurance, that I'd have a loaner waiting for me Thursday. That was fine. I pull into the service bay at my scheduled time on Thursday and Tony informed me that they could provide me with a ride home, but not a loaner because they had assumed that they knew the issue with my truck and that it wouldn't be covered by my Ally protection. This was unacceptable. I went inside to the receptors and asked to speak with Bob, the service manager. I told him the issue and he let me know that a loaner would be "made available" as soon as they figured out what, if anything, needed to be replaced or repaired. So, I waited in the waiting room for half an hour. Tony then comes in and tells me my truck is fixed and I have no charge. Although it wasn't the quick fix they had originally thought, (spark plugs) it was an equally fixable issue (detached hose). My whole issue was that none of this was explained to me until I spoke with a manager. I was lead to believe they'd keep my truck, give me a loaner and fix the issue. read more

After I was informed that the service department broke a $182 part on my vehicle they refused to fix it for free or adjust the cost. The service manager treated me with sarcasm and was EXTREMELY rude. Also, I later took my vehicle to another dealership, who told me, and showed me, that the part was not broken at all.
