While traveling on a Sunday evening, I wanted something not far from my route but still still inline with my "diet". Driving up, the restaurant parking lot was clean. I stopped by here around 12:45pm on a Saturday afternoon to grab lunch for my son and I while traveling to Charlotte. We each got the $5 meal deal with McDouble, fries, nuggets, and a drink. I placed order via mobile app and went to drive thru. I gave my code and moved through the line fairly quick. The food was hot and fresh. The staff were friendly. No complaints. Food was good. Service was ok, personnel were friendly, but there is one thing that got a 3. Didn't go inside. Ordered on App arrived to no one in the drive thru. Used my code got my receipt. Pulled up to window and was asked to pull forward. WHY? Ordered 10 minutes before arrival, app picked up our location when arrived. 2 Big Mac with fries and lemonade tea. Nothing odd. No reason to pull us forward. Other than to clear their clock. So they pull us away from the window and their serving times aren't impacted. read more

Best thing going for this franchise is their clean bathroom. The mcchicken i got was the driest piece of cardboard I've ever eaten.

We stopped here for my daughter to have her online Spanish class. We got a fish meal and an extra fry. The staff was so curious and helpful. They brought the food directly to our table. I interacted with three staff members and they were all delightful. Great job! read more

Super fast, friendly & helpful service at the drive thru. My daughter and I enjoyed a long morning at the trampoline park and we decided to stop at the drive-through so I could get a smoothie while she wanted chicken nuggets and french fries. I was very pleased with the ordering process; easy breezy. The young lady at the first window was sweet and friendly and the young man who gave us our food was very polite and wished us a blessed day. Last Thursday had a manager walk out in front of me while looking down at their phone. I said dumb azz out loud and kept going. Pulled around with a 17 yr old, 3 and 4 year old to do a curbside pick up like we do 4 or 5 times a week. (French fries after or before school). This manager walks around and starts yelling at me and comments about kicking my butt. Pedestrians have the right of way. Yeah they do but no crosswalk and he didn't even look up. Snapped a pic and of course a comment was made about me doing that. Leaves, then drives around, opens door and runs mouth to the one bringing our food while they are at my car. 5 days later still no call from anyone (auto fill filled in my number wrong and I sent it back in the email saying it would be forwarded to district manager). Today i sent another email and told them how do I know that manager won't do something else in the future. Only mcdonalds close and the little ones are special needs and part of our routine. I've gotten breakfast from this location several times for myself and my coworkers, as well as lunch. Between all of us, we've probably had everything on the menu from this location. I wouldn't normally review a McDonalds, because I honestly do not expect very great service when I go there, but my last visit was so great, that I felt I owed it to them to share with others how kind they were. The drive-thru line was very long, and when I placed my order, the person operating the speaker box apologized for me having to wait in the long line, and even sympathized with me about the heat. This place is truly a bittersweet experience for me any time I visit this location. I work very nearby so it's a logical and affordable place to stop off at omw home when my shift is over. Regardless if I visit for breakfast or lunch ( I never go for dinner bc by that time I'm at home already, so as far as that shift is concerned I know nothing of it) I am disappointed. That really surprises me in fact considering the place just got completely rebuilt from the ground up right before the COVID-19 outbreak, I watched them on a daily basis building it beam by beam. You would think that a company that spends that kind of money and hires that amount of crew to work there that they would have certain standards they hold in high esteem. One in which would be that not only is the customer's order correct but it is hot and/or cold, depending on what you are buying. No matter if I order my usual sausage McMuffin w extra cheese or my 2 x cheeseburgers plain it all gets handed to me through the drive-thru window the same, COLD!! I've tried asking for it hot, I've tried going in instead of pulling around.., it does not matter. There is one young manager there and he is very nice and considerate, any time he sees me coming into the building holding my bag he comes from around the counter and says "cold, again?" to which I add "yes, AGAIN!", and he goes and makes it for himself and when I get it back it is perfect. This I very much appreciate and most of the staff up there are just as nice, however you have a few that just don't care about the customer, the food, their job, nothing and it's pretty obvious bc it shows in the food and the looks you get when you send it back. I've filled out a million of those guest survey things on the receipts and described the problem, I've even called the company itself HERJAC, Inc owned by Herschel King Owner/Operator High Point NC but to no avail. I would hate to give up on this location bc it's so perfect and convenient for my lifestyle but I have decided that I will start going to the Wendy's or the new Dario's down the road..., a little more pricey but if they will give me hot food then it's worth it to me. This is a great place to eat IF you or in an RV or vehicle that has access to a microwave or toaster oven. read more

I stopped in McDonald's, asked how fresh the coffee is? and was told "it just finished brewing." Good answer! I ordered a small cup to go. The server asked if I wanted cream & sugar. I replied cream. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because General Manager Brad A was moved to the South Main location. The managers here do a very good job taking care of its customers as do the crew members and only on very rare occasion do they mess up the order and when they do they always compensate far more then other restaurants do! The owner is a great guy who takes very much pride in his restaurants and this one is definitely no exception! Between the south main and Archdale location this is by far the more superior with the quality taste and customer satisfaction this is definitely the perfect location to stop and get gas oh did I mention they are shared with a gas station which makes stoping super convenient! Just ran in here real quick to use the bathroom and get a drink because it was dang sweaty and I was on a not-so-quick jaunt from Durham to Charlotte. One of the registers was cash only, and I am nearly always cash-less. So when the fellow asked cash or credit and I said credit, he had to move to the other register. Despite this, when I ordered a large drink (all I wanted) he gave me the cup and didn't even bother to ring it up. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Now, I live in Oregon and I don't know if that was southern hospitality or something else entirely, but I was mighty appreciative. One star docked because styrofoam cups make me sad (and make lids fall off, boo hiss) and combo McD's/convenience stores should probably not really exist. But four stars for that awesome gent, the awesome bathroom (it existed when I needed it, awesome enough by me), and the awesome iced (not sweet) tea. Stayed in the hotel across the road. Got some late night hunger so I go and get 2 Big Macs from the drive thru. First bite tasted unusual. I think it may have been the sauce. But something seemed funky. I ignored my better judgement and ate one anyways, but threw the other out. I eat fast food on occasion and usually have no issues but that Big Mac made me sick all night. I was given two vouchers for a free sundae/cone/pie for the long wait. The cashier felt bad for us for having to wait as long as we did. Probably will not make a return visit. read more
