Five star customer service everyone was very friendly, food was good and we're going back for shakes and ice cream

I'm not saying I'm going to try the food at every Dairi-o, but I'm not saying I won't either. My understanding is that there are 12 locations now, and that all are company spots - in fact, the company has very directly said that they are not currently offering franchise opportunities. The12 spots stretch from Jacksonville NC in the east to Hendersonville in the west! And there appear to be plans to expand into Greensboro, and perhaps Burlington. I like that these are company run operations, it can make quality controls matters easier to administer and monitor. Perhaps the biggest contributor to inconsistent quality at fast food chains is the quality control mandates are not vigorously enforced. The only major chain that I'm aware of that does insist standards be met is Jersey Mike's, and they have even suspended franchisee agreements of non- compliant stores. This is a very nice location, bright and shiny with easy access to drive thru or parking. I ordered two hot dogs, one with mustard and sauerkraut and one with mustard, chili, and onions. I don't order the combo here because I don't care for the FF. As usual the hot dogs were excellent, and I am becoming quite fond of the sauerkraut dog - the kraut has a nice bite to it. All in all this was a very good spot, perhaps the best Dairi-o I've visited. read more

Dario's is always a win! The staff is friendly, the food is always fresh, and the atmosphere is family friendly and clean. I enjoyed my fried chicken wrap in the jalapeño wrap. It was delicious! My sister, who only initially only wanted ice cream, enjoyed a bite of my wrap so much that we shared the whole thing. She had the strawberry shake and enjoyed it. Dairi-O is our absolute favorite burger chain in North Carolina! The burgers are beyond delicious, the fries are crispy and seasoned to perfection, the hot dogs "all the way" are good, and the dipped cones are our favorite! The tomato soup and grilled cheese, the chicken pita sandwich, and the crispy chicken sandwich are also good, but we always wish we got the burger when we venture off and try something else. We wish there was one in Reidsville or Greensboro, but if we are ever out and about and see a Dairi-O close by, you can bet we are stopping to get a burger or an ice cream treat! (Also, the service is always fast and friendly, and they are always busy, but everything is very clean!) read more

Another Dairi-O, another great place to get burgers, hot dogs, and ice cream! Like all other Dairi-O locations I've visited, they have the same excellent hot dogs with the grilled and buttered buns, quality franks, top notch chili and slaw, adding onions and mustard makes the perfect all the way dog. I also like to put ketchup and jalapenos on mine, which is my personal preference, but I love that I can. Beyond the hot dog world, I also think they have some of the best fast food burgers around. They are not quite what I would calla smashburger, but they are definitely pressed and seared onto a hot grill, giving them that lovely crust. I like mine with cheese, grilled onions, pickles, mustard, and their BBQ slaw actually which adds some vinegar and tang to the mix. Always a double. Dairi-O also is constantly churning out hot crinkle fries because they stay busy. Never had I once had a cold batch, and with fries like this, they need to be hot to stay crispy on the outside while soft inside. Occasionally, I like to treat myself to a hand-spun milkshake there, they also have beautiful brownie sundaes and banana splits. In other words, this location maintains the same quality standards that the others do. I always will make Dairi-O an option when I want burgers and hot dogs! read more

It is a little expensive for fast food. but the food is excellent and is a Christian owned restaurant. I like the chicken tender meal, but it has gotten to be very expensive at $14... I used to go to Kyoto's and have the food cooked in front of me for $15 my how times have changed.. Service is always super quick. Best ranch around! read more

I love this place! We like stopping here on the way to Raleigh. I've tried their burgers before and it was pretty good. Today I got the chili and it was a great choice for this chilly night. It had big chunks of veggies inside and it was hot but not spicy. The chili came with some crackers and they charge 0.50 extra for onions (that I thought was free). Service was quick. Dairi-O is always a must-stop for us when driving through Western N.C. They have excellent food options like hot dogs, burgers, salads, wraps, and more. The soft-serve ice cream piled high and the salty crispy fries are top-notch. Plus the service is quick, the employees are friendly, and the restaurant (including the bathroom) is so clean. Prices are reasonable too. We stopped for ice cream at 10 am (don't judge) and to use the restroom. A small soft serve was $1.99 plus $0.50 for sprinkles. Overall, we are definitely fans of Dairi-O and recommend these restaurants to others! read more

As an avid fan and advocate of Dairio this one falls right at second place of all the Dairos. Clemmons still wins but this one was very good. Super clean and service was great. The large soft serve is something I always order and they did not disappoint on size. Food here is always good and it's a top tier fast food stop. read more

The food is a touch above normal fast food in quality, they don't skimp on portions, and the kids love both the food and the ice cream. Service is always super friendly and helpful. They have plenty of room inside for finding a seat which is nice because they can often be pretty busy. Normally they handle a large line quickly though. read more

Usually good service but one time I was told to order my ice cream at the food counter, I've done it before but after 30 mins of waiting I went up to the ice cream counter and showed the girl my receipt and she gave me sass how the other girl was making mine then 15 mins passed and I went up there and said to the same girl "the ice cream you said was Im e went out the drive thru" after an hour of waiting I got my ice cream. But go there religiously and that's the only time it happened. Definitely recommend read more

Everything!!!! Food, service and atmosphere. I go at least 3 times a week. One of my favorites!

I walked in the restaurant around 11:00am Friday morning. I was the only customer standing at the register to order. There were multiple employees behind the counter, one kept her back to the counter slicing strawberries and occasionally looked back over her shoulder. One employee I thought was going to ask for my order walked from behind the counter to the seating area, then came back and went behind the counter, looking at me but couldn't even speak or say they would be with me in a bit. I finally turned and walked out and went elsewhere. Whoever manages this store should give their employees a crash course on minimal customer service because they sure didn't show any while I was there. There is no telling how many times this happens and drives customers from returning. read more

Most Thomasville residents can attest to the area experiencing a severe dip in dining services, like most areas recently, due to available staffing and financial hardship; however, hope has arrived! Yesterday, April 4th, the new Thomasville Dairi-O's opened it's doors for it's official GRAND OPENING! Please allow me the honors to be the first to say that they did an absolute phenomenal job in doing so! Definite congratulations to Thomasville and the proud owners of this new Dairi-O location for nailing your Grand Opening! This has long been awaited and reason to celebrate for sure! The new parking lot is massive upon first glance, but could barely comfortably hold all of the excited customers that came out to be among the first to give this new location a try, myself included. Nonetheless, we found a parking space and hurried in with the rest of the crowd. For any newcomer, you place your order at the front counter and give your name to identify your order. No worries, over the front counters there are huge, bright menu display screens for customer reference if you don't know what you would like before arrival or if it's your first visit and you are new to what Dairi-O's has to offer. You will find that they have a variety of great selections for the whole family including burgers, hot dogs, turkey dogs, chili, fries, onion rings, fruit cups, chicken nuggets, chicken sandwiches, veggie burgers, soups, fish sandwiches, salads, and of course five kids meal options. I will post photos of the menu, but it can also be found on their Facebook page. A quick note, you will also find your corresponding order number on your receipt, once you've paid. When your order is ready for pick-up, a staff member will announce your order number and/or name over the speaker. I can happily report that even with the loads of orders, the time between ordering and pick up was only a short few minutes. By the time you leave the front counter with your payment receipt and make your drinks at the beverage station (self-serve) and get together all of your needed condiments, you'll likely hear that your order is ready for pick-up! The dining area is also massive with a variety of seating options available from two-seater booths, tables, or booth/table combos to large booths or tables that could comfortably seat a party/family of six or more depending on size needs. On the down-side, it can get pretty loud and noisy inside, but I found conversation with the person in front of me to be relatively easy during our stay. The ceilings are very open, breezy, and tall, with large industrial lighting overhead. The dining area is surrounded by walls of large rectangular windows but delightfully all include pull-down shades to help with sun-glare if needed. My favorite part of the dine-in experience is that they exclusively play positive Christian music. There will be no need to worry when you might need to cover your child's ears when you nervously hear that risque song come on the speaker. A positive influence is desperately needed in our communities more than ever these days and Dairi-O's has you covered! So, while you won't find a "play area" here, it is still kid and family friendly. Also, a staff member is always circulating, keeping a watchful eye on the seating and will kindly clean your seating area as soon as you leave, keeping it clean and sanitary for the next guests. Speaking of being kid friendly, my other favorite part of this new restaurant is that they have a massive ice cream selection, serving up over thirty flavors to choose from! Feeling a bit fancy? They also have shakes, floats, sundaes, and flurries! It will definitely prove to be a challenge to order some lunch or supper, dine-in for a bit, and completely resist stopping by the ice cream counter on your way out of the door. Did we get ice cream during our first visit, you ask? Of course we did, how could we not? I highly recommend at least getting a sundae with all of the little extras because it's the complete ice cream experience. This new location also features a two lane drive-thru for those of you who prefer to dine in the comfort and privacy of your own home or simply need to grab and go. The staff keep track of your order once it's placed by putting a numbered card on your windshield. During the chaos of the grand opening, they even thought ahead and made great effort to keep wait times down by having a staff member hand out to go menus to all cars in the back of the lines so that they could go ahead and decide what they would like to order before arriving at the menu board and ordering speaker. Again, awesome job you guys! The opening of this new location is such a blessing to Thomasville! Sure, you may experience a few hiccups upon first opening, but I actually have no complaints as of yet. The experience was unreal. First off we ordered drinks and burgers. Got a table then had to keep running back and forth to get our stuff. Now we are inside my burgers were like saw dust! The fries were ice cold it was a disaster. The real funny part was the restaurant wasn't even a quarter full of people. They serve cold food inside, the burgers were cold and turned to way over done. I will NEVER be back to this location all due to the drive thru attendant Neshaba & lack of customer service. She was incredibly rude. I asked what came on a specific burger and she replied "what it comes with". And so many other rude comments she made while I was ordering. I was shocked by the lack of professionalism & customer service. Dairi-O needs to have requirements for their drive thru attendants. My order ended up being wrong as well. Absolute nightmare. My burger was missing cheese and they handed me a slice of cheese to put on. Insane. read more
