Ok, McDonald's is McDonald's. But this one is different. The interior looks NOT like a McDonald's! It's gorgeous inside lol. Crazy right?! But check it out yourself! You can model your home kitchen after it! ;) The bathrooms are always clean, as is the rest of the place. Plus, they bring your food to your table! As for the food, well, like I said before, it's McDonald's. The food is as good as any other McD's. However you feel about McD's you'll feel here as well, just in nicer surroundings haha. The drive through is fast and I've never gotten an order wrong at this location (although, we usually only order a happy meal for my son and how hard is it to put one of those together)? Wowzers! That's the only word I could think of that describes my experience at this location today. It took forever for someone to acknowledge my presence and take my order (about 3-4 minutes, which in fast food world, is an eternity), despite the 15 people standing in the kitchen and behind the counter. Then when I tried to place my simple order, the lady behind the counter seemed confused. I ordered a big kids meal with a hamburger-plain, with chocolate milk and a GoGurt; a chocolate chip frappe and an ice cream cone. This is how the convo went: (I won't use her name cause I don't feel like it matters) Lady: Huh, it won't let me click on the GoGurt, but I will just click apple slices and exchange it for you. Me: uh, ok. That's fine. Lady: So, I have a happy meal- Me: Big kids meal Lady: Soo, you don't want a happy meal? Me: I want the big kids meal Lady: blank stare Me: you know, the bigger happy meal? It comes with small fries instead of tiny fries? Lady: So you want a regular meal? Me: Blank stare. No, the big kids meal! She was clearly confused and had to ask a manger if they had a big kids meal. At that point, I looked at the menu and realized that she was confused because I had said "big kids meal with a HAMBURGER" instead of "MCDOUBLE" which is what comes with it. Smh So she finishes my order and hands me the receipt. As soon as I sit down and look at my receipt, I noticed that she charged me for 2 frappes, one being an "upcharge" for the big kids meal, and no milk. Soooo I had to ask a manager for a refund on the second frappe. THEN, my son's food came out with tiny fries and the hamburger was NOT plain. So, again, I walked to the counter and told a different lady that it was supposed to come with small fries and she said "nope. big kids meals come with those tiny fries." I just looked directly at the manager who had to tell her that they, in fact, come with small fries. REALLY?! And I've seen these ladies in there before, for a few months now, so I know they aren't new or training, so what's the problem here? I went to the drive trough tonight at about 7:45 and politely asked the girl taking my order if she could make sure that the fries were fresh because I don't get them often and she said sure. I come often to this Mc Donald's and it's never a long wait compared to the other's in town I have been to. The line moves fast. It seems to be the only Mc Donald's in town that I get good consistent service and quality. I have a closer Mc Donald's to my house off of Stockdale and California but that one has consistently disappointed me with food quality and wait time so I'll drive a little further for this Stockdale location. I was helped by the manger a couple times, seems to have the store in check and looks cleaner than others I've been to before. read more

I never review fast food but this one definitely needs to be reviewed, I went in after work time was just after 8pm and ordered the all day breakfast to go and everything was fine until I got home which the drive was less than 5 minutes away our McMuffins were super hard the muffins were like a rock and to make it worse the inside was like they were already made and the just microwaved it when we ordered them and I guessing this is what they did so they wouldn't have to deal with the all day breakfast menu. SMH I definitely will scratch this place off our late night places to eat. read more

Pretty nice. I expected far less from a McDonald's. I pass through here a lot. Unfortunately, there's a huge problem with the place and it's the drive-through. It has nothing to do with the service, which I've never had a problem with (surprisingly). The problem is there's a parking spot right next to the exit of the drive through. One particular night had a rather large truck parked in that spot and I had to carefully maneuver around it with my own truck. I clipped the curb a little bit to get around him. This location's service is always good. They are friendly and patient. They have not messed up on my order and the convenience of this location is great. It is right next to the Riverwalk Park. If they were to tell me to pull up to the side to wait (the longest I have waited was about five minutes) for my order, they always give me a card noting a free item for the next time I come. read more

They really need to offer a ZERO STAR RATING. ONE EMPLOYEE ruined my wife and daughters visit tonight. I would like anyone reading this to please imagine you have a daughter with special medical needs, who is on the autism spectrum. We are in a pandemic and would rather not visit ANY restaurant at this time, but our daughter does not understand this and sometimes will only eat if she drinks a milkshake first. It's because she has cyclical vomiting syndrome, and the shakes soothe her stomach pain. We have tried making shakes at home, we have tried other things. At this point in time, McDonalds is an ally in the care of our daughter because this is what she wants. If you've ever seen your child hooked up to IVs and underweight, you would probably take the chance and visit a place allowed to be open and deemed essential during a pandemic. This McDonalds is the ONLY one our daughter likes right now. The only thing she wants is a shake, pretty easy, not much preparation. It comes out of the machine, in the cup, and the top goes on and they put the whipped cream in. The only problem is that there is a hole in the top. Another problem is that they are not requiring their staff to wear masks or gloves. There is also no protective plastic across the drive through window. Several times, an employee has handed her the milkshake and spoken with the open top of the shake within inches of their mouth. While we know this is not deliberate, it could spread disease. Another night, she saw an employee making a shake and after spilling some on his hand, he licked it. Last night, the person who handed her the shake once again talked into the shake, almost as if it were a microphone. She had asked them nicely before to remake the shake and not talk into it. The other managers were kind, understanding and gracious. Last night, the crew manager Sidney, was out for blood. When my wife drove up, no one would take her order at the drive thru sign. Now we think it was because they recognized her and the henhouse was aflutter. She drove to the window and was met with animosity from the cashier. She ordered one shake, the usual. Upon driving up, and having the person once again, hold the shake close to her face, my wife asked if she could remake it. She slammed the drive thru window before my wife could explain. Sidney came to the window with a new shake, and had obviously decided she was going to take care of my wife, the "difficult" customer they had grown to loathe. Now, I get it. No one wants to have to make something twice. But this is a pandemic. Get with the program. If a customer is unhappy, fix it. My wife was again, trying to explain what the problem was. Luckily we have a dashcam so I know for a fact my wife was very kind to her. Sidney proceeded to tell her that remaking the shakes were wasting food, and that if my wife was worried about the pandemic, maybe she should stay home. Wait, what? You are in the service industry, you are getting paid to give no less than excellent service to the people who PAY YOUR SALARY (without customers there would be NO BUSINESS!), and you are telling her that you "refuse to tell your employees to not talk into the food because my wife is crazy and they aren't doing what she's seeing" and that the person who licked his fingers was preparing his OWN shake, as if that makes his licking his finger IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS ACCEPTIBLE. Life lesson #1 to Sidney: If you remain in the service industry, know this. You are there to provide an exceptional experience to ALL customers whether they are fearful of the current pandemic or not. You could have handled this in another way. You could have simply told your employees that before they speak to anyone in the drive through, that they make sure customers have safely retrieved their food and there is no chance of contamination. Instead, you wanted to make my wife feel as if it was her responsibility to cater to YOUR wims, despite the fact that she was paying YOU to give her good service. You wanted her to feel bad for being concerned about your lack of safety during this pandemic. I've NEVER heard of a place telling someone that if they don't like the way things are done, to not come back. What a horrible thing to say to any customer, especially during this very scary time in our lives. Its your job to make people feel good, not berate them and make them feel crazy. I'm not sure how she became a manager, but she is not manager material. It takes a very special people person with empathy to deal with the public. Sorry Sidney, big fail today. Not only did you hurt my wife's feelings, but you scared and hurt my 10 year old daughter, who was in the back seat listening to everything you said to my wife. Big thank yous to the staff who HAVE been kind to my wife, and who treated her with respect and compassion. It can take one worm to spoil an entire apple though, unfortunately. read more

Went through the drive-thru last night and was very disappointed. I ordered mcnuggets, a double cheese burger mini meal, and another burger by its self and then a half cut sweet tea.
