Last month, I shopped at TJ Maxx and Five Below. After exercising my credit card, I needed a drink. Although I could have driven over to a Caribou Coffee across the street from Southtown Center, I saw this McDonald's. I remembered that I had expiring points that I needed to use. I pulled out my McDonald's app to order a drink. There was a deal where I could order any fountain drink or iced coffee for $1. Perfect! I ordered the following items: - Medium Diet Coke - Apple slices Sadly, I didn't get to use any of my points. However, I was thrilled to get a deal. After placing my order in my car, in front of Five Below, I drove over to this restaurants to use the drive-thru. I had a polite, friendly woman at the order area. I stated my order code and then proceeded to the pickup window. Service was extremely quick. The woman handed me my drink and bag. I barely had time to wish her a great evening before she disappeared. My Diet Coke hit the spot. I needed it. It was cold and satisfying. Apple slices are different stateside at McD's. I maybe got three slices in a tiny package. The skin was completely removed. I am used to having some fibre. Nope, I had naked apple slices instead. So weird. The slices were yummy. I needed to get more packages of them to satisfy my fruit cravings. I wanted more. Maybe four packages would have done the trick for a light snack. This McD's is great. My wife and I stopped by this McDonald's sometime last week to pick up a happy meal for our grand daughter who is a huge Disney fan. McDonald's currently has a collaboration with Disney for their 100 years anniversary. The food from McDonald's is rarely ever consistent. Some days it's great, other days, it's mediocre. We come here occasionally for their breakfast menu items. The service here hasn't been the best, but I don't expect much from fast food chains. Almost everyone here seems like they don't want to be here. I sense the hostility from time to time. The ambiance here could be chaotic at times. We loved that they were open 24/7 so we stopped on our way to the airport at 5 am. It's an easy off/on location at exit 6A. My son got the Big Breakfast and I got the sausage egg McMuffin. Typical McDonalds food that came to us hot. Interesting customer service we never received before. My son could not make up his mind on his drink choice. It took him maybe 10 seconds to figure out what he wanted and while he was deciding, the employee stated "I am waiting". We chuckled cause it was both rude and funny. read more

I went to this location at night on 12/5/2020. I had worked a 12 hr shift at my job and had been craving hot cakes from McDonald's all day. I got to the drive thru and and after asking the worker, found out that all-day-breakfast isn't a thing anymore and got really bummed out. However, the worker pulled some strings for me and I got to order hot cakes. That really made my day and I'm extremely thankful to that worker. That gentlemen gets 5/5 stars. I hope he didn't get in trouble since the manager was waiting at the window when I got there, but that was genuinely the best customer service I've had at any McDonald's. Somehow the burgers here are better than the burgers at all other McDonald's locations I've been to. At first I thought I was imagining this, so I conducted an experiment where I went to multiple McDonald's locations in one night and ordered the same burger at each one. This location is truly the best. I don't know why, but they're just better. The burgers don't have the overly salty, grill-has-never-been-cleaned taste like other McDonald's burgers do. You will receive word from the staff that the "Credit Card" machines are down and you must pay with cash....mysteriously this happens every night after 10 pm. If you do happen to have cash and fork it over for some "food" (if you can call McDonald's orders that at all) expect for the workers to begrudgingly work on making it for the next 15+ minutes while you wait with no one else in the store. They told me the were only accepting cash, because that makes sense in the era of Apple Pay. Then I asked for two #4s. He asked me "what's a #4?" So I told him. He's the one who works there. First of let me say that I go to McDonalds for the convenience and for the service that it provides and promises to provide. I went to your South town Mc Donnald location in Minneapolis to get a meal for me and my son after we got out of the movies. Right away I could tell there was something wrong because the lines at the drive through were considerably long. We pull through the drive through and an annoyed representative literary screams "What do you want?" We tell him we want # 14 on the menu (meal combo, root bear with ice), chicken bites , checkup, bbq souse and a large fries with ketchup. As we were pulling he yells no credit card or check just cash. I told him it was okay with us. We pull up to window # 2 and he proceeds to give us the food and repeats our order. We stop him because he says no ice on the root bear and we tell him "no, no with ice" He rolls his eyes shoves the bag over to my window and takes my $20 bill and disappears. He comes back and he says "What?" I tell him I am still waiting for the change. He again rolls his eyes and goes to give me my change and literarily sighs as if to tell me get out of here. Mind you this whole thing took at least 10-15 minutes. We pull out from the window and my son checks to see if we have everything and sure enough they have forgotten to put the fries, checkup and barbeque sauce. We circle around again and go on the intercom to tell them they have forgotten some items. This was another guy who again yells at me " DON'T LIE TO ME because I put the fries there myself." I told him I have better things to do with my time than to lie about fries and certainly not worth my time to deal with their attitude where this is a place of business. I told him to look at the bag for himself. We pull to the window and the original guy admits to me that they made a mistake to think that the fries were part of the meal combo and not a separate order. He tells me he needs $2.30 from me. I tell him I have no problem paying but will not accept such disrespect and people accusing me of lying. I told him I would like to speak to the person on the intercom that told me I was lying because this is clearly unacceptable. He goes to get him and another guy comes to me asking me what the problem is. I explain and he proceeds to tell me he can't tell me who the person on the intercom is and if I don't move he will call the cops. I told him go right ahead! He then yells to everyone "someone call 911, call 911" The first guy tries to explain to him that it was his mistake and they leave me at the window waiting for another 5 minis while they are in the back arguing. I finally felt bad for the cars behind me and decided to leave and call the store manager where there was no answer. This is seriously acceptable. I go to McDonalds to get a meal not to face a hostile environment where I am called a liar accused for someone else's mistake and then completely disrespected!!!
