Wasn't even in the store for 5 seconds before I get attitude and smart mouth from the first employ behind the counter. She asked me a question and before I could say one work she interrupted me and said can she talk like I was in the wrong and she deserved the stage. Blew my mind I was talked to like I was a child when I'm 34 years old and don't try to case any problems with no one and I'm always respectful. Stopped here on a roadtrip. The location seemed to be recently renovated. We placed our order at the kiosk and it was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time by a friendly employee. The food was neatly made and tasted fresh. The restaurant was also surprisingly clean. The bathrooms were also clean and surprisingly larger (meaning more stalls, the stalls themselves were quite small) than I expected. Everybody has been to McDonald's at least 30 times . But I will say I like this McDonald's a lot. The staff is respectful and I attentive to your order. As basic as that sounds, we all know the frustration of wasting $.50 in gas to do that infamous U-turn to get an order fixed. What I will say is like with any McDonald's, don't check your food for what's just right, but if it actually comes out hot. I've had a few occasions where I could tell I was getting the remainder of the fries rather than the fries fresh out of the grease. Overall, good spot. Frequently go back and will continue to. Stopped here on way back from Florida on what shaped up to be an absolute nosebleed nightmare of a trip that lasted nearly 18 hours in a vehicle that I basically was chained to drive. Was a rented car so oh well. This is your standard McDonalds really. You kind of get what you're used to and what you should expect with any McDonald's anywhere. Which is: 1.) a semi-clean dining room. There are usually a large crowd at points so keeping the area clean can be a challenge and really - just in general - you don't come to a McDonalds for a dine-in great experience and a five star dining experience. 2.) decent food overall. It's fast-food. You know what you are getting because the staff is trained to make the items the same way over and over and over. Really if you have a bad meal there's really something wrong. 3.) mild bathroom cleanliness. Really a crapshoot. I would recommend putting toilet paper down on the seat and clean as much as possible before using rest room. I got an iced coffee and sandwich. It was standard overall. Ordered ahead of time on the mobile app which i find simple and convient, placed my order around 1830, notified on the app i was in car space 5. As i sat and waited i did notice the drivethru moving, some of the cars were being parked and waited a few minutes and someone brought their food to them. As i wait i see cars come and go clearly one of these workers are going to bring my order out, nope i was sadly mistaken! Finally after 30 mins of waiting i decided to go check on my order myself. As i walk in i notice several people standing around waiting on their order as i was. Only thing that seemed to be moving was that drive thru and even that wasnt a pace a fast food drive thru should move at. I did manage to the attention of one teenage worker, who did not know what i was talking about when i told her i had a curbside order, none the less she did the best she could to fill my order. I still waited an additional 15 mins and had to have her go correct my order but she did fill it. I personally think if this resturant was better staffed it would run alot more smoothly. read more

The whole attraction of restaurants like McDonald's is defined in their category name - fast food. This location is the antithesis of that. The line moves slower than the sloth DMV from Zootopia. Unrelated - a dude is passed out in a red Subaru blocking the order area. Everyone's pulling around to the 1st window. We weren't sure if the staff knew, but the cops and an ambulance showered up so someone did the needful. At the very least it's an interesting story to tell. read more

Damn, came through for coffee, they asked if we wanted creamer and sugar. Of course we said yes. Guess what?? No sugar or creamer!! I decided to go to this McDonald's to get a minute made slushie and I was disappointed with my initial interaction. I pulled into one of the two drive thru lanes and before I was greeted to place my order the other lane had already taken two orders and I had been sitting for about 10 minutes or so. A Big Mac and fries from the McD's in Blythewood SC is going to be exactly the same as a Big Mac in Burlington VT or Ballwin MO. And usually the bathrooms are going to be clean. Not always, but usually. Today's visit was a bathroom stop off the Interstate and a large coffee to keep me awake for the rest of the drive. Fine Scottish dining in the highlands of Blythewood! I really wanted to give this place a 3 1/2 but unfortunately due to yelps limitations I could not! They wouldn't deserve the four stars because the service is spottier than the freckled face of a Scottish girl laying out in the sun for an hour! Though the people are very friendly that work there, they didn't quite get the order accurate and unfortunately they often don't. I ordered the Mc snack wrap, which instead of the patty it was supposed to have in it, it had something that more resembled haggis. I'm still not sure what I ate! I did rather enjoy the Chicken McByproducts with the homemade tangy sweet and sour sauce, an old family recipe from Edinborough no doubt. I'm already psyched for the Tartan games next week! And then the capper, the famous stringed potatoes, clearly there is no potato famine on this side of the Emerald Isle! Unfortunately, much like my Scottish wife, they were cold, saltier, and tougher than a caber toss champion! Among its many redeeming qualities, is that it's close, cheap, and there aren't a lot of choices up here! I think I'll try that other Scottish restaurant, Scotty's next time. Let me start by saying that I pass this McDonald's frequently and they never disappoint. Their drive thru is fast and the food is very good here. Today though, OMG! I ordered a Double Quarter Pounder large meal. This. Sandwich. Was. Amazing. It was not only ready when I arrived at the pick up window it literally was the hottest burger I have ever eaten...ANYWHERE!! I have complimented the store manager in the past and not sure if they are still there but they are rocking it at this location. I am making myself hungry again thinking about it. read more

I've had good experiences at this location...and some not-so-good ones; but I will say this one is my favorite. They get it right most of the time. Today right around noon, the drive-thru cashier was very kind and even said, "Thank you. Have a nice day!" (so rare nowadays, especially in fast food). To add to my surprise, the young lady working the second window passed me my bags and said, "Thank you." Then asked me if I need anything else! I didn't need anything, but what a pleasant surprise all around! I didn't get either of their names; but I wish every fast-food employee were so pleasant and appreciative of my business. read more

This rating is not about the establishment but instead about its "leadership" the food came out fine and the rest of the staff were great but what upset & annoyed me was the manager "Angela" on staff was very rude to her staff, she kept yelling at them & belittling them in front of a bunch of customer & that is not ok specially being in a leadership position! I live in Rock Hill and have to go to Columbia for work occasionally and when I do, this McDonald's always hits the spot. Can't even review the food. Came in to order and there were about a dozen people standing around waiting for their food, a line of about 6 people waiting to order at the only available register, and everyone grumbling and complaining about how long it was taking. We waited about 6-7 minutes and not one person had received their food and the line to order hadn't moved either. It was about 8pm so not dinner rush but not so late that they would be running a Skelton crew. Needless to say, at this point we decided to leave. We won't be back to this location. read more

The McDonalds at Blythewood is right off I-77, easy to find. The location is a remodel to look more hipster; with unique tables and counter seating. There are two flat panel monitors that typically show local OTA weather. On my most recent visit (around 10pm), the location was mildly messy on a couple of tables and drink machines; the men's restroom was clean and non-smelly. Staff at location were friendly while food orders took a little longer than normal because of the high traffic through drive-thru, but wasn't a big deal. My meal on my most recent visit included a 10-piece chicken nugget combo with fries and drink, also purchased a strawberry & creme turnover and chocolate milkshake. The 10-piece was good and standard; the fries were golden and crispy, not overly salted either. The turnover was amazing, gotta try that. I got Dr. Pepper for beverage during the meal and the first machine (further away from front counter) was mostly water-downed; the second machine was more correct. The milkshake, that was takeout, was also very good. Overall, it was a very good late-night meal. As a oasis along the interstate, it fits the bill and would likely visit again when traveling and have a hankering for McDonalds. I gave this location 4 out of 5, because I am comparing it with other McDonalds and the choice selection available at this particular location. read more

Went to this McDonalds last night at around eight. I worked a long shift at a very physically and mentally demanding job. I passed two McDonalds on my way home but chose to patronize this one because its closest to my home. This would have been my only meal for the day and i was very hungry. I spent at least fifteen minutes in line. There was other cars but it wasnt that busy. I drove right up and ordered. Anyway, the person repeated back what i had ordered and i left. I ate a few fries on the way home and knew they were not fresh. I got home and ate one chichen nugget which also was cold and probably had been re heated and the coke was watery and flat. They also forgot the sauce. I went to bed hungry. Im going to take the food back today. This is my first yelp review but this isnt the first time I've encountered this problem at this McDonalds. read more

What a horrible experience. My husband ordered the #9 two burgers and fries with a drink. He ordered me to sausage McMuffins. Our order number was 208. They were bringing up orders numerically and number 209 thru 213 were out the door while we continued to wait. Hurrah, we finally got our food. It was a to go order. The only thing we did with that food was throw it in the trash. Hubby's fries were cold and soggy. Burgers was horribly smashed like they had been beaten with a fry pan. The sausage muffins were so full of butter and soggy they were not edible. The drive thru window was backup and the girl kept praising thru customers running food out to waiting cars. Drive thru took very long. Worker stopped talked then answered minutes laters without listening to order first time. The big breakfast only contained half an egg. Only given one burrito went inside to see nobody being served and a wall separating any contact from the workers, waited 5 mins and zero attempt was made to serve customers.
