Wow I wish I would of read some of these reviews before going,. It was nearly 3 pm, was sort of in a rush. Long line, people not happy and complaining, the staff was ok,but you could tell frustrated. They probably should do something about this. The food needed to be reheated, the fries were halfway full, but nonetheless I try to be patient and understanding. I had a very disappointing experience at this McDonald's location during a family gathering trip. On 05/21/26 at approximately 1:25 PM, I placed my mobile order while driving from Monterey to Capitola. I arrived at the restaurant around 1:45 PM and politely asked a young employee about my order. He told me it would be out shortly. After waiting about 10 minutes, I noticed several customers who ordered after me received their food, but my order was never called. I approached the same employee again and politely asked if he could check on my order. After another 10 minutes, there was still no update. Eventually, I was approached by who I believe was a manager. After I explained that I had placed my order at 1:25 PM and had driven from Monterey, she questioned whether I had already received the food. The interaction quickly became uncomfortable, and I felt as though I was being accused of trying to claim food I had already picked up. I explained that I had not received my order and even suggested they review the camera footage if there was any confusion. As a paying customer, being treated with suspicion instead of receiving assistance was upsetting and felt discriminatory. After a lengthy delay, I finally received part of my order. However, the problems didn't end there. The fries were not filled properly, and I was missing two Hot 'N Spicy McChicken sandwiches that I had paid for. Unfortunately, I was unable to return because I had family commitments and a busy schedule that day. The entire experience was frustrating--from the long wait, to the lack of communication, to being treated as if I were doing something dishonest, and ultimately receiving an incomplete order. I hope management reviews both their customer service practices and order fulfillment process so other customers don't have a similar experience. read more

I am not sure what happened at this McDonald's. On April 4, 2024, I placed my order at 1:35pm on a Friday afternoon on the in store screen (vs. counter) because there was no human beings at the counter. By 2:10pm, my food was still not made, and my number was not listed in the board (being prepared/serving). When I attempted to ask the manager if my order was received, she stated 'wait like everyone else. We will call your number when your order is ready." I asked for a refund due to the fact I needed to pick up my daughter at school. The manager ignored me (she was very angry). I left my receipt and table number on the counter, and asked for her to refund me... and left without food. During the 30+ minute wait, 20-25 door dash orders were served while all the Customers in the restaurant waited for their food. And no, I did not receive a refund. (Still) That will be the last time I visit this location. read more

Pretty much every employee is awesome except 1 in the early mornings young male with greasy hair and glasses he is so rude this morning he gave me sugar water I will upload a picture he is rude he will put orders all the way back where you have to grab them as there all the eBay back almost falling off the table like what's the point what's his point is he trying to make then he will on purpose not provide a straw when he puts my drink down. I'm not sure if he is white or just light skinned Hispanic either way he's rude. It needs to be retraining customer service if he hates his job so much find a new one. There's no reason for people to arrive at 510 5:15 AM to be treated like trash and I've taken notice of his behavior for over a month now I don't know if he's like an assistant lead or what but a lot of retraining meeting and customer service other than that every other staff members are great I would give it more stars if that guy wasn't working here and I didn't have to deal with them weekly and it's odd behaviors and attitude. read more

When our food came, there was no sauce and no toy with the happy meal. I went up to the counter and told the man at the register. He looked at my receipt for a couple of minutes and then proceeded to ask where we were sitting. HE THEN WALKED OVER TO OUR TABLE AND LOOKED IN THE HAPPY MEAL BOX!!! Like seriously, you think I'm trying to scam you out of two 10 cent sauce packets and a 50 cent plastic toy?!?!?! REALLY?!?! What can I say, I love McDonald's! Ever since I was a kid I fell in love with the place. This McDonald's meets the criteria according to my standards as a good location. I've never had a bad meal here. The consistency of quality has always been good and the meals are always prepared quickly and without any kind of glitch. I just wish McDonald's would bring back the Egg White Delight! But overall, this is a clean McDonald's, and that also applies to their restroom. That is actually a very important factor to consider when you choose a restaurant. Go in and see if they have any soap in the dispenser. Or whether there is a means of drying your hands. Or how well maintained the overall restroom space is kept. A little sidetracked here but I think you understand where I'm going. This McDonald's had soap and a means of drying one's hands. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO GET FOOD FROM HERE ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT. There's a man and a woman that work on Wednesday nights It happened to me two Wednesdays in a row... And they play jokes on the phone, They call her customers stupid, there's a guy that barely speaks English claims he's a manager and he called me stupid and called me a liar on the phone They didn't make my food at all... The delivery person was there for 45 minutes waiting and they just basically decided not to make my food. And then when I called the first time they lied and said there was no one in there there was no delivery person there but the person took a photo of themselves standing at the counter and all the customers in there. Then a girl answers and she sounds like she's drunk or high. That was last Wednesday and I tried tonight to order again and I go oh no it's a Wednesday when I realized how long the order was taking and it said it was delayed which is never happens... And then I realize it was Wednesday so it was the same people working... And the guy answers and he starts screaming and calling me stupid and a liar for some strange reason. Maybe mistaken me for someone else? I don't think you're supposed to be abusing your customers. He hung up on me three times I kept calling back. Ordered a Big Mac meal and a cheeseburger with no pickles. I waited over 20 minutes for the staff to complete the order. And when they called out my number, I tried asking for ketchup and was ignored by the woman who served my food. While attempting to get her attention calling out in English, "excuse me" and then in Spanish, "con permiso". Another server came in from OUTSIDE the restaurant and rudely exclaimed "DO NOT TALK TO THEM!" So I asked her for some Ketchup, which she tossed at me across the counter. At that point I asked for her name and she replied, Suzette" (spelling?) and I left. Once I picked up my husband from work, I realized that someone had given me an old cheeseburger and the food was completely cold! The staff is unprofessional, rude and should be retrained or fired. Suzette definitely needs to be replaced. The trash cans were overflowing inside the restaurant, trash was on the table tops. They advertise their $5 meal deal for a McChicken or McDouble with 4 piece nuggets, fries and small drink, but charge a dollar up charge for a McDouble meal deal compared to a McChicken meal deal. Beware and take part of the class action lawsuit for the wrongful advertising taken place in these franchise locations. They have to abide by nationwide promos and are taking advantage of people who are not aware. It may seem like a little inconvenience, but if it doesn't end here, then where will it end?? I like to go to a register order my food how I want it and pay cash so if I ordered at the kiosk or not I still had to go to the register to pay cash! A few weeks ago I had a bad experience at this McDonald's just for reason that really bothered me especially the prices we are now paying for these meals -- just didn't feel the service. This morning when I went in there was in line for a while which I get cuz it was really busy so I asked if we can just get rung up so I can go to Whole Foods and wait for the order and right away PABLO came to the register to help, wasn't upset or rude that l asked him in a pretty passive aggressive way to help us and he handled his cool and gave great service he apologized for the wait and got my meal to me within minutes. It definitely made me want to start coming back again. Thank you Michelle Garcia who wrote me a letter apologizing for the service and gave me 2 free sandwich vouchers. Awesome service. I've been in sales and hospitality for over 10 years now myself and no that sometimes you have to give a little to get a lot. Review date: 12/14/19. Went in for breakfast at around 10:30am. The young lady who took my order didn't get my coffee order and I didn't realize until my food was brought to my table by Chelito. Chelito went out of her way to get authorization from her manager to bring me my coffee without additional charge. She took a few minutes to come back so I went to stand in line to order my coffee, while I was in line I watched Chelito get a coffee ready (not knowing it was for me) and I watched as she used a napkin to grab the stirrer that went with the coffee as to not let her bare hand touch it. I thought that was very cool of Chelito to do the right thing even though she didn't know I was watching. THANK YOU CHELITO!!! Management: Please pass this on to Chelito and thank her for being such a customer service champ. She deserves your praise and mine. Manager and staff on day shift on Saturdays are rude and have no problem demonstrating the fact that they have issues with people of color . Everytime time I picked up a delivery the requirements for me to identify the order change even showing them proof I'm a delivery driver wasn't enough. Sorry I don't steal and I am not trying to go jail over McDonalds of all places. Please educate the staff on how delivery apps work.
