We've visited East End Gastropub several times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and drinks, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Last Saturday night, my wife and I sat at the bar expecting the same level of service we've received in the past. There appeared to be only one bartender working. While the restaurant was steady, it wasn't overwhelmingly busy. We were served our first round of drinks, but after that we were completely forgotten about. For over 20 minutes, no one checked on us, asked if we'd like another drink, or even offered us water. Sitting directly at the bar, it was frustrating to feel ignored, especially when we were hoping to spend the evening enjoying a few drinks and dinner. Unfortunately, the lack of service left such a poor impression that we decided to leave. We've always enjoyed East End, which makes this review difficult to write, but customer service is a big part of the experience. Hopefully this was just an off night, but it was disappointing enough that we won't be returning anytime soon. read more

I've been dining here semi-regularly for quite a few years. The food has always been great. I love a good locally-owned and run restaurant, so I'm happy to support them. They used to do a mighty good happy hour menu, and we used to come pretty often during the busy workweek for that, but I guess they stopped that some time ago. I wish they'd bring it back, as it was a good value, great pizzas, and a good excuse to go out to dinner without breaking the bank. Anyway, we've brought many family and out-of-town friends to East End Gastropub, and everyone loves it. It's not inexpensive, but it's a solid, hands-on kitchen with real food. We loved the decor of the restaurant & knew we would be back for the ambiance, flavor, & location. We both agreed on so many items & a lot of the items that stood out to us were already sold out, sadly! So we went with the Peach & Burrata that was flight, refreshing, & full of flavor. The fish dish was absolutely phenomenal & could've ordered a whole new entrée after devouring the first one, made to perfection! Stop by and checked out their new food and drink menu. My experience this time around was great and the shrimp bao bubs are a must. It comes with two buns and a side of fermented/viniger veggies. Staff are super friendly as usually and we did come in a Friday night before our movie. I would recommend calling and do a reservation as it can be packed. Parking is easy as the parking lot is huge and they are right by the movie theater. Though my first experience here was not that great, it has improved so much since then. Inconspicuous spot in a shopping center with a completely different vibe once you walk in. Very modern and inviting with great service. Really liked the menu, offered a nice variety and did I mention the full bar. It could be 3 or 4 stars for you, but it was a 5 star for us. We were greeted with a smile, our questions about the cocktails and entrees were answered with thought and clarity, and everything was excellent. The chicken and croffle was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, the flank steak was slightly overdone, but still excellent. Service with a smile, water glasses filled, great cocktails and delicious food; 5 stars in my book. They also have happy our Monday & Thursday-Saturday 8-9 pm and Sunday 7-8 pm, but was told looking at a 4-6 pm which is more my speed. Also liked the peanut butter bananas foster bread, though I didn't taste peanut butter. However, enjoyed the sea salt and ice cream accompaniment. Not my fav is tip options of 20, 22, 25%. Our local spot! Great for a bite before Tuesday night movie night at the next door Cinelux. Tonight we dined in early on a Sunday night holiday weekend and enjoyed a nice meal watching the Olympics from a table by the bar. Great date night atmosphere. Service was attentive and timely and friendly. Got two drinks and the burger and clams. We enjoyed both! Some menu items are better than others, but we know what we like at this point. Been here a few times, the last time being Valentine's Day 2025. Located in a strip mall, the interior has a bar area, tables downstairs and a mezzanine seating area. Every time I've come here it has been delicious. Last time I had the BBQ Carrots with dill, toasted almonds, blue cheese dressing ($15) and house salad ($22) which came with miso brussels, carrots, beets, whipped feta, seasonal produce, pumpkin seed brittle, spring mix, fig balsamic. Seems a bit pricey for a salad, but it was oh so good! For a main entree I got the drunken clams ($32) described as having "mezcal, chili pequin sauce, bacon, mushrooms, bread crumbs, parmesan." The clams were fresh and had just the right amount of "bite" to them. Service is attentive and efficient. Despite the location, this isn't a cheap & cheerful dinner spot, expect quality food and an innovative menu. read more

Once again, East End hits it out of the park . This is a fun place to have dinner either before a show or just a Friday night out. We stopped in for an easy dinner before movie on a Friday night and we're seated promptly my very pleasant hostess. Water is on the table minutes later and we began to peruse the menu. Nolan, our wait person for the meal, guided us through the menu choices. Even though the menu is not expensive, everything is delightfully and well prepared. We shared almost everything... The house salad with succulent, grilled chicken. Special note that the salad ingredients were exceptionally fresh. Then the fried chicken bow buns, and I actually started with the gazpacho sans chili oil. Every bite said have some more! Small but good wine, selection, and notable choices for beer. A few comments... Service here is impeccable. The ingredients are always fresh. It's a fun atmosphere and can be really crowded on some nights with the line out the door. I don't believe they take reservations for parties under six. The management is very family oriented to not only their staff, but also their customers. The only thing I would change is put the pork belly back in the bao buns, please. That's just my personal preference. We look forward to coming back again to explore their other menu choices. Really Really good tonight. Maybe it was just what we ordered - three salads and a pizza but my 98 year old mom who food adverse just reached for a second slice of the peach and porchetta pizza. Admittedly it is wicked good. It's new to the menu and suggest you amble on in while it's still on the menu. I Miss the mortadella pizza, but this is an excellent substitute. The cucumber salad is sort of like Indonesian Gado Gado, with a peanut sauce flavor to the sauce. The Caesar is crunchy and goes down easy and the portion is huge! The watermelon salad is beautiful and the pizza crusts dip nicely in it. Get what we got or branch out and order something else, but Munch Munch Munch- you will thank me and if there are just two of you, you will have delicious leftovers. read more

We were a party of three and it took us about 40 minutes to be seated, but it was a Friday night and things close early there, so that makes sense. We reviewed the menu, and it had a fun selections of cocktails. There wasn't anything terribly exciting on the menu for a gastropub. Everything on the menu was good, but I wish there had been at least one more sandwich or individual option to choose from. I got a salad that ended up being quite good but to make it filling, I needed a few modifications. I have been here several times with my family for weekend brunch and it doesn't disappoint! The menu is limited for brunch but what's on the menu is solid. I always get the Egg Sandwich which is yummy! It comes with a brioche bun, two sausage patties, scramble eggs, cheese, and arugula. The service was great minus the person who brought us waters and put the glasses down with his fingers on the rim of the glasses like a claw machine at an arcade. The food here is really good with a variety of options. The menu changes every now and then to keep it interesting. Their pizza is delicious. Service is excellent and friendly. Hannah, Reef, Amy are the best as well as the entire staff. The place is small but comfortable. They have a full bar with daily cocktail specials as well as food menu specials. We were seated quickly and given water, but it did take a very long time for our server to check in and take our drink/ food order. Once we finally ordered, it took some time for our food to come to the table. I did notice that some of the guests around us who got there after, got their food first. Overpriced and over hyped. The best thing I ate was the Bloody Mary. The fried chicken with croople was bad in many ways. The chicken was flavorless and two of three pieces were like jerky they were so over cooked. The croople did not taste like anything special, it could have been a regular waffle. The slaw was the best thing on the plate and again lacked flavor needed some citrus or something. The service was slow and took over an hour for the check. This was our first time here and we enjoyed everything about the place. They have a fairly small menu but what they did have was great! We wen on a sunday afternnon and it wasnt busy at all. The staff was great and seated us right away. Out server did forget to put in our order so we waited kind of a bit but he conpensated by removing our drinks from that tab. The space is a bit condensed in the main dinning area but it seem they have more room for tables towards the back of the resturaunt. Our food was great. Their portions are huge! I ended up getting the dinner special for the day which was the fish katsu sandwich. Fried rockfish and pickled veggies with Katsu sauce?? Amazing. And the fries are perfect, perfectly crispy. My fiancé got the bacon and leek pizza and loved it, it was huge! And the flavor was so robust and savory.
