Soooo bad! I just spent $25 for the worst burger I've ever had in my life! I fed it to my dog. No Kidding! Dry bun with an overcooked paddy. No condiments no tomato or onion. Ordered the classic burger which says it comes with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. I also added cheese & mushroom. No cheese on it. I think it was supposed to come with fries which I didn't get. I added a side of mash potato & veg which a girl came running out to give me when I was already driving off. Should have checked the order. Terrible! This used to be my absolute favorite restaurant. I've been here from the start. Traveled from Capitola to the Westside when they started and rejoiced when they opened the Aptos location. It has gone seriously downhill. My absolute favorite was the Portabella Burger and they have changed that. It was spectacular and now it's just good. The Irish Dip changed severely. The bread is this weird hot dog bun consistency, the sandwich had absolutely no flavor, and the meat didn't melt in your mouth like a dip sandwhich should. They also frequently forget sauces you've requested. This once spectacular place has replaced ingredients with cheaper, removed ingredients they once started out with, and have left the magic far behind. I'm so disappointed. They are back on DoorDash after a long break, but aren't signed up for Dashpass which means you are paying (I paid) $14 on top of your order. Two sad Irish Dip sandwiches cost me $63.42. read more

Came here for lunch with a group of 4 adults and 4 kids, and they were able to seat us quickly. The decor and ambiance is what you would expect of an Irish pub. They had the Giants game on which kept the kids (all boys and baseball fans) entertained while we finished lunch. Service was friendly and quick for such a large group. Food was really good, and actually better than I expected. The burgers were a hit with everyone that ordered them. They were able to easily customize the regular menu items ordered to accommodate kids tastes (though a kids menu is provided), such as roast beef and cheddar vs. brie. They have everything from simple veggie burgers to incredibly decadent burgers. It is dark and cozy, and I like that there is no rush to leave. Looking for a place to eat while in Santa Cruz we came across the Parish Publik House. We had no idea on how good it really was. The reviews were stellar which made us choose the place but it was far better than we could imagine . Very friendly service with a great beer menu, Hard alcohol as well. The food came fresh, hot and very tasty. I was sold on the cheeseburger Too me I can judge a place on a plain cheeseburger. If you can't do that right then pretty much everything else is gonna be mediocre. That wasn't the case here. Everything was very good from the bbq chips, French fries and even the ranch was top tier. What a wonderful place to eat! Looked it up on yelp while we were in Aptos. It was really cool looking restaurant like a cabin look to it. Our server wasTito and he was great! He gave us recommendation and showed and checked on us, which was wonderful for a server as far as I'm concerned I ordered a green salad and that was great to start with. We had fried artichoke hearts for an appetizer and they were the best I've ever had. I had fish and chips! I heard about the fish and chips being so good especially since the fish with salmon. So delicious. My husband had parish pie with mashed potatoes and he loved it. I tried it and it was really good. We had chocolate chip bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. Oh my goodness so delicious! We also had cocktails. My husband had a Moscow Mule and I had something called a purple drink. It was very good! The best burger around! They offer many craft beers on tap too. Service is friendly and atmosphere is relaxed. Plenty of sports on the TVs. It's often busy and can get crowded but theirs a reason, it's a great place to be. This was the old Britannia Arms restaurant. Sometimes the parking is limited but that's no fault of the restaurant. Stopped in on a sleepy Sunday around 3. It's a nice local place that was recommended by my sister who lives nearby. What we got: - Mac and cheese sliders. Really good and served with a spicy sauce. - The Irish dip x2, one with fries the other with house made chips. The fries are nice and crunchy, what we call "bowling alley fries" and tasty. House made chips with the other dip and equally as good. The BLTA which was served on toasted bread and very good. The ranch is also creamy and they use dill, so you know its legit. Came here without knowing much about it but heard it had an interesting beer selection so we figured it would be a good spot for a New Year's Eve lunch. The beer selection was quite interesting and I ended up choosing the Luminous Quasar which was a very flavorful Imperial IPA. For my lunch I had the Ooey Gooey Burger which was a classic burger with brie and roasted garlic, and I got it with garlic fries. The burger was very flavorful and cooked medium rare as I requested. My fries had a lot of garlic however girlfriend who also got garlic fries had barely any on her's which was a little confusing. However she said her burger was delicious and really liked the flavor. The service was good, very attentive and always made sure that our waters were filled up. There was a little miscommunication when I wanted a second beer; I wanted to order a different one to explore more of the beer menu. However when the server asked if I wanted another beer and I said yes, they walked off and a couple minutes later they returned with the Luminous Quasar, which wasn't a bad thing but I was curious about the other craft beers on the menu. Overall this spot was a fun spot to get lunch and grab a drink. It has nice simple items but elevated giving classic bar food some unique twists. Was craving a turkey sandwhich and this place did not disappoint! I got their BLTA with turkey, no tomatoes and it was exactly what I wanted. I got fries on the side which were delicious as well. Their classic burger was also very good. Their garlic fries were a little too garlicky, for my liking but still pretty good. Parking is very limited, we got lucky and found one as soon as we got there. They charge $3 for adding turkey to the sandwhich, but it definitely makes the sandwhich better! This is a note about Jesse, the most horrible customer service manager with seemingly poor judgement. Leaving for work (I'm an RN, night shift), the plan was to get food to go at Publick Parish and take with me for my lunch (to eat at 3 am). I've done this several times, but this time I wasn't sure what I wanted to order so I checked the menu, on-line. I also confirmed that they close at 11:00pm while looking on-line. I arrived at 10:30. ALL the chairs were on the table (including the chairs in the lower bar section), and the server tells me that they are closed. Well, at this time I have really no options for food. My shift is going to be a busy shift (it's Friday night, holiday weekend). The manager? Jesse comes over and states they closed at 10:00 and I'm confused bc the website said 11:00. He tells me they have a menu that starts at 10:00pm and that I can only order from that menu. This menu is their appetizer menu: fried artichokes, fries, etc... Oh boy; now I don't know what I'm going to do. Their website is misleading/ incorrect, does not mention anything about stopping food orders one hour before they close at 11:00pm and Jesse is horribly rude and disconnected from anything except they all want to leave. Gee, as a server of people myself, I DO NOT abandon my duty! Naturally, I don't say this to him, but rude he was. He did not care whatsoever and interestingly, they can fry up and cook stuff, but just not ANYTHING else? Jesse is the rudest manager. He needs to understand his customers with a couple questions, which he was not interested in listening (the poorest listening skills). He never once asked me what it was on the menu that I wanted. He can fry stuff up from the 10:00 pm menu but.... I only wanted a salad!! I guess that's too much to throw together??? He should be in a different profession; one where he does not have to make customers happy. I live in this community & I will let our friends know not to spend much thought on this place. The last few times I have been there, the quality has gone down hill. Thee only reason I had gone there is because they close later than most & I sleep until the evening. If they don't make full menu options after 10:00 pm, then the own should make that very apparent as a consideration to customers that depend on accuracy on websites (esp hours). I was extremely hungry last night and we were very busy for the Memorial Day Weekend. To the owner: please update your website or speak to your employees. I'd let Jesse go. read more

We were in the Santa Cruz area and had trouble finding a lunch restaurant downtown with less than an hour wait on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, so we ventured further to Aptos and stumbled upon Parrish Publick House. Sat outside surrounded by flowers and under shade cover. Whispering Angel rose and a local IPA hit the spot. Highly recommend the Hangover Helper and Dave'O Chicken Sando. The fries are great, but the arlic fries are exceptional. We had the most lovely waiter - super friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the area. And now that I know there is a Parrish Publick House in Santa Cruz, we'll be sure to try that lpcation next time we are visiting. read more
