Excellent coffee brand out of Arkansas. My husband and I both had a salted honey espresso (hot) & it was exceptional! We sat at a table in the adjoining room, which was a CBD shop, And I was instantly greeted by Briana. Sadly, Briana is going to be moving away soon, but it was such a joy to meet her. What a fantastic personality! Meeting her made for a fantastic trip to this coffee shop. On top of that, I was meeting a cousin, who I had not seen in over 30 years, who happened to know Briana. Sweet reunion over a fantastic cup of coffee! Coffee was so good that we stopped back to get an Affogato for the 3+ hour drive home. Highly recommend this hidden gem of a coffee shop to anyone in the area! We look forward to coming back next visit!

I chose their LOVE AT FIRST SIP Sweet white chocolate and a hint of amaretto blend with rich espresso, finished with a layer of fluffy raspberry cold foam. The raspberry cold foam is delicious. It hits you right away. Small coffee shop, great hole in the wall. They have non-dairy options as well

However there are some things that are off about this place. Firstly whenever I order a coffee they'll give it to me in a random cup. Sometimes a mug, others a paper cup and even a glass cup. Not necessarily bad just odd. What is odd though is the employees reaction to not getting tips. They will give you nasty looks and lower quality service for not tipping on a 5 dollar coffee. I have one friend who was even made fun of. They will go as far as making fun of him for being gay when he isn't just for not tipping. I like supporting small businesses but the customer service needs work here.

I've been here several times and I actually like this Tip Top better than the Thomas one and I never thought I'd say that. The whole layout of this place is epic! The patrons are always smiling and friendly. The baristas are great and they are always provide friendly service and are great to chat with too. Thank you! Elkins has came a long way over the years and to have this wonderful establishment in its town is a plus for everyone including the college kids. Also, the PB&J bar is stupid good and their iced dirty chai lattes with almond milk are stupendous!!! Two must haves when visiting. Go enjoy it as much as I always do when I am in town.

Tucked into the mountains of West Virginia in the small ski town of Thomas, TipTop Coffee feels…read morelike the kind of place you hope to stumble upon while wandering Appalachian back roads. The town itself has that perfect mountain-arts vibe--historic brick buildings, quiet streets, and a steady flow of hikers, skiers, and road-trippers--and TipTop fits right into that rhythm. The shop is cozy and unpretentious, the kind of café where the warmth from the espresso machine and the conversations around the room cut through the mountain chill. It feels local in the best way--welcoming without trying too hard. But the real highlight is the coffee. The cup I had was excellent: clean, balanced, and clearly prepared by people who care about the craft. It had the kind of clarity and sweetness that stands out, especially when you're used to road-trip coffee stops that are just "good enough." This was genuinely memorable. If you're passing through the Canaan Valley / Blackwater Falls area or chasing powder at Timberline or Canaan Valley Resort, TipTop Coffee is absolutely worth the stop. It's proof that even in a small Appalachian ski town, you can still find a cup that would hold its own in much bigger coffee cities. A mountain gem.

Wanting to share that above sandwich, was handed a "butter knife" and told they could not cut it. Hmm, how did they slice that bagel in kitchen? Served only in a leaky paper sleeve, was told there were no plates. But saw them sitting clean on shelf. Paper cup, no mug. But I could buy a handcrafted mug, for $60. They had chocolate bars: $10 for 2 oz, made in yes, Brooklyn. (Did I not chose to travel to WV?) TT trying hard to be hipster. Later visited Happy and More bakery/cafe one block down. Friendly, cozy, coffee was $1.50 less AND free refill. Nice homemade baked goods. Cafe is well-named.
