Last night, my friends and I went to Texas Roadhouse and it honestly was a 10/10 experience! Not only was the restaurant clean, our waitress Erin was phenomenal! She was so on top of everything; constantly refilled our drinks and bread and made sure that we had everything we needed. We of course had many delicious rolls. For an entree, I had the chicken critter salad. This is one of the best salads that I have had! The ratio was perfect and it was so tasty. It is also a large portion, so it is perfect for 2-3 meals. The app said the order would be ready at 3pm it was not the girl said they had to remake the onion blossom,so I waited the extra time then as I got back to my vehicle I noticed a $6 tip which I didn't authorize which is strike 2. Upon arriving home opened my box and found my bacon cheeseburger was pink when I asked for medium well. Fries were soggy and I did not receive any butter for the bread. Stopped for lunch on our way to Pittsburgh. Quick, friendly service, seated right away even though parking lot was full at 2PM on Friday. Rolls were delicious. I ordered a bathtub sized Margarita. We split the sirloin and shrimp special. Not a complaint, just a fact, we did order medium and it came medium rare -- I'm happy with that but maybe order medium well if you want it completely done. My wife and I spent the day exploring beautiful Lake Tygart and worked up an appetite ... we were hungry for a great steak, and we knew exactly where to go. Texas Roadhouse has never disappointed me, and the Clarksburg location not only met my expectations, but Exceeded them! We always split a steak and order two salads: Caesar and house. TRH has always served top-notch salads, but I swear the house salad we were served today was magnificent. And our steak was carefully prepared and was served exactly as we ordered it. But, what made our experience special was our server, Holly. What an incredible job she did! And talk about intuitive ... she met all our needs before we knew we needed something. We also enjoyed chatting with her as she welcomed us to Clarksburg, and offered us great advice on the local area. I'm so glad Holly was our server! One other person is worthy of special recognition. The manager stopped by our table and chatted with us about a special advertising opportunity that facility offered, and she went out of her way to get us more information. We did a call ahead when they opened this morning at 11am and they stated they would have a table ready for us at 6pm.. we got there at 6 and they said about 20 mins.. 645 still waiting.. calling other parties with a bigger group then we had.. went in and ask the hostess staff of about 5 or 6 girls and they stated they called us and text us and no one responded so they thought we were not here.. NOW mind you there were 5-6 girls standing at this hostess desk and it was 4 steps to walk to the door and check to see if we were in the waiting area.. they said they can't leave their desk... but I had just witness a girl come out and yell for a particular party.. so for the next 20-25 mins still waiting but we are next on the list... finally got tired of waiting so we left... My family recently visited the local Texas Roadhouse for the first time. We figured it would be great since it's always full. The time we visited was no exception. As we waited a relatively short time to be seated, we noticed many people who really seemed to enjoy their meals. After we were seated, a server came to take our drink order and fairly shortly brought them saying someone would be around to take our order shortly. "Shortly" turned out to be close to half an hour. We finally waved someone down and they, in turn got someone to come take our order. I must say that once the order was taken, it wasn't that long before our food was delivered. I can't tell you how disappointed I was in all of the food. I ordered the catfish, which I love. The thing is, the entire restaurant had an overwhelming aroma. I imagine it may have been whatever they used to season steaks, which many people ordered. However, it so permeated the place that all the food tasted like that smell. All around me, everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals, so maybe it was just me, but I found it highly expensive for a meal which I could hardly eat. I will NOT be going there again. I was a little disappointed that they were out of anything less than a medium prime rib, but the 12oz ribeye I ordered was amazing. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the perfect medium rare. This was my #1 favorite in the region. 2-3 times a month! We were there 11/30 for my wife's birthday. Staff was great, but that was the only positive thing of the night. The French fries, steaks, mushrooms were so salty! The steaks were burned to a crisp! The salads were fine. The steak (chef?) though raw chicken on cooked steaks on the grill ! Poison the diners? I apparently should learn to do a better poker face, because when I had my first bite of my filet (medium rare), my husband took one look at me and said, "If it's that good, I want some!" They sent a half full, TINY little cup of ranch for the salad that didn't even dress half of it, so it was literally a plain salad with a quarter of it dressed, had to eat plain lettuce because of how little dressing is provided. As a solo diner I always try to sit at the bar so I don't take up a whole table. So I walked right by the host who did greet me nicely and said I was headed to the bar. I sat at the bar with no bartender at it and waited. after waiting several minutes and asking someone for the bartender they told me she was probably smoking outside when she came back the bartender didn't apologize at all however she did go ahead and take my order and punch it in. Somebody else brought all my food and in the end I have no idea what I tipped her for since all she did was take my order, disappeared, and maybe cleared my plates after I left. Placed an order that was supposed to be ready at 8:15 p.m. I arrived at 8:20 and was told my order was not ready and I would get a text message when it was ready. At 8:45pm still no text message. I went back to the window to check on my order and finally my food was ready. But the young lady told me that there was no bread available. At that point I didn't care. I'm on a travel assignment And I asked for silverware because I'm staying in a hotel. After getting back to my room; there was no silverware, & no napkins. I ordered a side salad with a side of blue cheese dressing and Italian dressing and I got blue cheese crumbles. The ribs had so little sauce on them they were almost like dry rubbed ribs! Very good food and huge portions! Came here during a business trip. By myself, I was seated and greeted quickly in a booth. Ordered drinks, the cactus bloom, and a New York strip. Strip was cooked medium rare, just like I like it. Cactus bloom was the perfect size-a little too big for one person but of course it's meant for groups. While I was waiting, you get a bucket of peanuts to crack and eat, and some really good sweet bread buns. Great freebies. I have no complaints and would definitely hit this place up again.
