That said, the dish is heavy and leans salty quickly, so it's best shared or paired with something lighter. Well executed, but definitely a full commitment. The strawberry matcha is clean and lightly sweet, with the fruit complementing the matcha rather than overpowering it. I do wish the matcha flavor itself were a bit more pronounced, but it works well as a refreshing counterbalance to the richer items on the menu. The Straw-tella waffle has crisp edges, a fluffy interior, and even topping distribution, which I appreciated. The strawberries add some freshness, though the Nutella does most of the work here. It's satisfying and reliable, even if it doesn't surprise. Overall, Crepes N' Crisps is a solid Cleveland brunch option with generous portions and consistent execution. It shines most when you mix one sweet item with one savory and don't try to overdo it.

I did see some other people who had ordered crêpes, which looked tasty, but also seemed to be on the smaller side. You can order at the register but we were encouraged to order at a kiosk, which had one of those extremely irritating tipping boxes included when you pay. I always hate this because you have no idea what the food is going to be like. They do bring your food to you, but if I'm ordering my food on my own and throwing away my food and stacking the dishes, tipping should be minimal.

A writing Resource center is located nearby, so Sages Cafe truly is convenient. They even show you a sign that has all the syrup flavors they offer too. I had their matcha latte without any sugar. Just looking over their counter shows that they use Mighty Leaf tea. I've tried that brand of tea before, but I wasn't really impressed in the past. Well my opinion still didn't change of Mighty Leaf when I took a sip of my matcha latte. The matcha tasted watered down, as though the barista used fat free milk or a low fat milk. My thoughts were further justified when I took a sip of their foam. Bad. Foam tasted like cardboard as opposed to creamy like foam should taste like. The matcha latte certainly had vibrant green color like good matcha, but I was left disappointed by the taste. The customers here are mostly college students or people that work at Case Western. They'll all be in class or lunch during late morning or early afternoon. I suggest you visit during that time to avoid any lines or other people in general.

They also have decent ice cream and light meal/snack selections, although I haven't tried any yet. The baristas are really friendly and nice, too. (Actually, they're welcoming enough to make me want to come back -- and this guy has most of his classes all the way across the campus!) Despite having adequate seating, the somewhat unusual location (in the lobby of the building) can create a strange, quirky vibe that can take a while to get used to. It's a fairly busy lobby, so any private conversation about sensitive business is not an option here. They only accept cash (and CaseCash if you have a Case ID card), with a PNC Bank ATM located downstairs.
