This was our second visit to Blue Sky Brews. We stopped in as we were walking around looking at gardens. It is a nice relaxing spot to enjoy a coffee. It was nice to see the pretty flower box out front. Blue sky has plenty of seating. Including some outside seating. The pastry case was filled and the coffee was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. As with most of Little Italy parking is on the street. Parking can be tricky during peak times.

I learned about Blue Sky Brews from a barista. If a barista recommends a coffee shop, it's a must visit! I finally visited this morning. I was very pleased with my experience! Blue Sky Brews is a very interesting concept, one-of-a-kind in our city. They offer various brews - coffee and beer! I asked when the transition happens! You can drink either whenever, most customers start with the brews at 11 AM. Beer menu is pretty impressive including local favorites like Immigrant Son Brewery. This cafe is a juxtaposition of industrial brick and chic, airy cafe. There's quite a few tables and quiet atmosphere. There were many guests working from the cafe. The seating is available at tables or a bar. Open hours are very customer-friendly. They're open 'til 8 which is considerably better than other nearby cafes that close at about 3 PM. Parking in the area is always a challenge, but 15 minute parking right by the cafe was very convenient for a quick stop. Service is pretty great! I ordered coffee - drip coffee (very smooth!) and pour over (light roast, more bold and flavor forward). Coffee is from Heartwood Roasters which recently won awards from the Cleveland Magazine. Drip coffee took a few minutes to prepare but that's because coffee is art. Both coffees were pretty good. I also purchased Unger's raspberry roll. It tastes like a very fresh Russian tea cake. The filling is unreal, so flavorful, and tastes like fresh berries. Aside from my order, there were options to get other more elaborate coffee drinks, pastries, and a little cooler with goodies. I would have loved if breakfast sandwiches were on the menu. I was really craving something savory but nothing appealed to my savory palette. There are not breakfast sandwiches. The shop also sells local art, merch, and coffee. Next time I'll work from home from this cafe! And leaving the best for last, the cafe is dog-friendly! And has free dog treats! I met a very cute dog while waiting for coffee which absolutely made my day!

I loved my first visit to Blue Sky Brews! The ambiance here is super cozy and welcoming, definitely a place where you can settle in for a study session/work from home. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I ordered the ham and Swiss croissant, which was so delicious and easy; ask for any pastry heated up! My classic iced coffee was also just right. Definitely planning on visiting again for another study day!

Great coffee spot in Little Italy! We stopped in for some pre-dinner caffeine at around 5pm on Saturday and there were plenty of people inside studying/working/hanging out. The barista who took our orders was really friendly and kind. The vibe inside is chill and I think it would be a good spot to stay for a while and get some work done. I went for one of their spring specials - a rose cardamom latte - and it was excellent. Not too strong of a rose flavor and paired with the oat milk I opted for it was perfect. My husband ordered a lavender latte that he enjoyed as well. I would definitely come back! Thank you, Blue Sky Brews :)

I can't totally knock Blue Sky because my disappointment lies solely with Heartwood's bad baked goods which are carried in multitudes by Blue Sky. I've tried everything Heartwood sells there except the really dry looking breads at this point, and every single product without exception is unbelievably chokingly dry. The breakfast cookie was inedible without a large gulp of water with each nibble and impossible to finish due to its dry almost scone like density. The cinnamon muffin had a great exterior with a bit of crunch and plenty of cinnamon-sugar, but the inside was dry as a bone! It was literally like trying to eat a cotton ball but really dense. No moisture almost at all. The chai molasses cookie had a central small core of moist normal cookie. 80% of the cookie- everything except the dead center- was dry and lacked flavor that would be carried well by some moisture at all. This cookie still took a sip of water in between every bite except for the core and I gave up due to the bland dryness that surrounded the middle. So disappointing. I decided to return to try these baked goods because it had been over a year since I learned my lesson last time. Nope, still bone dry and avoidable. I wish Blue Sky carried better baked goods alongside Edwin's food.

Cute coffee shop. The matcha latte with cardamom was ok, not the best I've had. The spinach scone also left much to be desired. The highlight was a gluten free peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie.

Cool coffee shop that also serves beer! This used to be a Rising Star coffee so it must of been convenient to switch ownership. The lattes were made very well and the vibe of this place is really cool. They play random funky music and is a great place to chill. There is also more seating in the back patio when the weather is nice. I can only imagine how packed this place gets during the weekends. They also serve pastries from Heartwood Coffee. This is a great option if you're looking for quality coffee or brews!

This is a super small and cute coffee shop located at the edge of Little Italy. Because this is near my office, I often come for a walk and a coffee break. The inside has a lot of nice lighting and tables to sit and chat or get some work done (free wi-fi!). There are also a couple small tables outside if you prefer the fresh air. I'm a fan of their drinks, as I frequently order their iced lattes or iced americanos. I have ordered their scones a couple times, and while it satisfies my hunger, they do tend to be a bit hard and crumbly. Overall, the snacks are ok but the drinks and vibe are phenomenal and worth it.

I love working/studying in coffee shops, so I came to Blue Sky Brews one Saturday morning to get some work done and my coffee fix. I came in early, around 9-ish, and there were plenty of seats available. The layout is conducive for working/studying with both table and counter seating, outlets, and free Wi-Fi. There are also a few seats outside, which would be nice during the warm spring/summer days! I had an almond milk latte and sat at a table for a few hours. It started to get busy in the mid-morning, and it was a nice lively atmosphere. The staff are very cheery and personable, readily striking up conversations with customers. It was a very pleasant environment and I look forward to making more visits to Blue Sky Brews more regularly and supporting local business!

It's been a while since I was in Little Italy on Murray Hill. Met a friend here for coffee today and was super impressed. This used to be a Rising Star Coffee location. The decor is really nice with touches of modern, industrial, and lots of white to add some brightness! Exposed and painted brick throughout. Very bright and airy. The coffee, as expected, matches the mood. I had a latte and was very satisfied. Rich and creamy with attention to detail as the barista made a heart in the foam. Little touches like that go a long way. There are plenty of places to get a cup of Joe today. Please please PLEASE avoid Starbucks and spend your money in beautiful, locally owned businesses like this..especially during these trying times.

First time here, though I think I've spent quite a bit of money for my daughter to spend some study time here. A mix of coffee house and brewery with a welcoming ambiance for this looking to hang or those looking to study. Service was friendly and helpful and the coffee is excellent, with a wide range of choices. The beer part of it is solid as well, with many options amongst bottles, cans and drafts.

It's like a wine shop meets date spot. I've been here multiple times over the years for dates, solo evenings, and Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Beer Crawl. Wine Spot was a nice backdrop for all these days. INVENTORY: You'll find an entire long wall of various wines organized by the type of wine. You'll find Dom Perignon and wines under $35 coexisting in the same space. You'll also find beers, THC drinks, sake, and a lot more. You'll also find so much beyond wine - sardines, chocolate, and gift baskets. It's an ideal location to shop for gifts and build a basket. I don't have any particular recommendations. I usually ask staff for recommendations and gravitate toward white wines. Except during CLE Beer week I tried two different beers here - Executive Decision by the Butcher and the Brewer, Yakima Chief Forward from Fat Heads Brewery. AMBIANCE: Market vibes with tables and bar available for guests. The ambiance is nice, casual, quiet enough for a date. There is a lot of space for groups including a private room. SERVICE: Service is pretty friendly but tends to be slower. What I love about here is that they can chill wine bottles upon purchase. You can immediately go home with a chilled bottle of wine and get into your evening. Aside from this reason, there are plenty to do at the winery - events, monthly wine club, and more. Long story short, visit!

What sets Parnell's aside from other Irish pubs is that it's pretty classy and sophisticated with dim lighting, nice ambiance, Irish charm, and well curated drink menu with more than just beer. By the way, the beer is really good too! I've been to Parnell's for a wide range of occasions - book club, date nights, and even Irish New Year! All very memorable and pleasant experiences! Parnell's is a cozy bar with limited seating including the bar, high tops, a few tables by the windows, and a small room in the back. On weekends the pub gets very lively and busy. On weekdays you'll usually find more room to roam. It's a great destination to spend your whole evening, have some drinks before or after dinner. No food is served here, but there are so many options within the walking distance (neighborhood is safe to walk in day and night). Genuinely you can't go wrong with any surrounding food choices. Many people come here to socialize, have a beer solo, play board games (bring your own), or spend their time at happy hour. Service is always very pleasant and attentive. It's also important to mention that as a single woman I always feel completely safe in this space. Everyone is welcoming and social! The pub is well known for their beer and whiskey. As far as beer, you'll find a variety here - Guinness of course, and local beers - Harp, Butcher & The Brewer, and Fatheads. Tonight I tried The Repeater Euro Lager from the Butcher & The Brewer ($8 + $0.16 credit card surcharge). It was a very smooth lager. I'm not quite a beer connoisseur, but I always felt that beers here are really good. You can also find flights (whiskey, bourbon, etc), wine, gin, vodka, tequila, and rum. Don't overlook their QR menu (found at the bar) with their special drinks. I had mixed drinks here and can attest to the fact that they were very strong, with high quality liquor, and delicious. I mean it's the quality I'd expect at a swanky speakeasy, not a pub. So it's a huge compliment. You can find their menu here: https://www.parnells.pub/drink or scan QR code at the bar. Parking is available at the lot in the back of the building (free). There is also plenty of street parking. Although watch for any posted parking signs. Most importantly, visit Parnell's for Irish NYE! They celebrate NYE during Dublin time (much earlier than NYE). There's a large festive crowd, countdown, and champagne. It's the most festive NYE I've been to, so full of Irish spirit and spirits! You haven't lived until you celebrated Irish NYE! I recommend visiting Parnell's whether for a casual after work pint (especially if you're close to the location at CWRU or the Clinic), a casual date (it might a little loud but you'll have so much fun), a gathering with friends, or really any occasion. My every experience has been very positive, and I know yours will be too!

Weekday afternoon in the summertime; school's out so attendance was sparse. Open physical plant with lots of natural light, lots of high-tops inside with outside seating as well. The craft beers are made in house with a couple of guest taps. Our convenience sample of a couple of them found them to be solid renditions of APA, Pilsner and IPA. Falafel Nuggets are fun: one of our group loved them but another found them cumin-heavy enough to be a dealbreaker. The jalepeno edge brings just enough heat. Fish sandwich is excellent. This is a piece of battered fish and it is crackling crisp on the edges. This sandwich, served with pickles and shredded lettuce, is on a roll that is one of the closest I have had to Po-boy rolls outside of New Orleans. The onion rings are fantastic. Even though they are somewhat thicker cut, these breaded rings are crisp and delicious. For the most part, the onion stays with the ring. Would gladly get these rings again. Our group found the Barbecue pork quesadilla to be "very good." The barbecue sauce is on the sweeter side, and we think it has some cinnamon notes. We would happily return for bar-food bites and beverages: highly recommended.
