I saw the picture of breakfast with pancakes, so I asked the guy what that is. He told me it's Big breakfast you want. So we ordered it After I got my order, there was no pancakes in there so I went to ask the lady who was calling out order number and handing the orders. She asked me with a look it was my problem "What did you order?" I answered "Big breakfast". She asked me "with or without pancakes? There are two kinds. This location is inside of the Denver Airport and among a variety of other food court style options. Our flight was delayed 2.5 hours so we ate lunch while we were waiting for the new plane to arrive and headed here. I opted to just get the 6 piece nuggets with some honey. My husband had a sandwich, fries and soda. Our order was up pretty quickly and we grabbed a seat. My order was missing the honey so my husband went back up to get it from the counter. They asked him repeatedly if he meant honey mustard, and after several times telling them regular honey, they sought some out from the back. The food was okay - typical fast food style. Overall: C+ Associates seem unfamiliar with offerings outside the norm, but if you need a quick airport meal and fast food seems like a viable option - it's decent. read more

I've eaten at this McDonald's 4-5 times over the last few years. It's never great. But it's food when I am starving. For some reason, they always appear to be in slow motion compared to other McDonald's. I've never been in a hurry here - usually my lay overs between flights have been 2-3 hours. If I could give zero stars, I would. They do not accept meal vouchers from United airlines. They are in the United airlines terminal and are one of two restaurants open for early flights. Utterly ridiculous. They need to get with the program. Yes, I could buy my meal on my own without a voucher, but as one of the only restaurants open w long hours in the United terminal, it's despicable that they don't accept vouchers, which are not uncommonly given to people delayed, cancelled otherwise disrupted, already frustrated and just trying to make the most of their compensation. Left a very bad impression. Not a single person was smiling. Most acted like they would rather be somewhere else. I asked for a re-fill after I was done eating my meal, and one of the managers refused. No sign that I could see stated they do not allow re-fills. Had to throw away my cup half filled with ice and order a new drink, that I then had to wait five minutes for them serve. This is a busy location at this food court. Be prepared to wait around for your food. I do not recommend coming here if you're on a time crunch for your next flight! They do have a screen that shows when your order is ready but this can be misleading since the "food preparer person" isn't quick enough to fill out orders supposedly ready. She took her sweet time getting the burgers and fries for each bag. How annoying! The employees here must HATE their job. All I wanted was a large unsweetened iced tea. Service was lacking, no distinguishable lines, the cashiers were taking people from everywhere. The woman taking my order had a hard time understanding my order (obviously) since she was too busy hee-and-hawing with her coworkers. Took about 5 minutes to get the iced tea since all orders go into the food queue. I get my iced tea, take a sip as I walk away and it is Sweetened. Bleh. Shove my way back to the front of the indistinguishable line and explained my predicament. Instead of quickly correcting, everyone behind the counter had to argue about the iced tea. Maybe it's McDonald's Corporate law or something, but really? Just pour out the dang iced tea and put in the correct one. The margin that McDonald's would be losing on that tea (which was half ice anyway) is about one cent. That place was ridiculous. But my revised iced tea was tasty.... read more

I gotta give this location props!! Inside an airport serving probably 50k+ customers a day, they got our order correct (a seemingly impossible task for nearly any other McDonald's I go to). I have dietary restrictions and can't eat beef, so I get cheeseburgers without meat. So we ordered that and a chicken nugget meal. With a good 60 people in line ordering and waiting for food while everyone is rushing to order before they close, we only waited five minutes and received our order 100% correct. Way to go McDonalds! I have been to airports all over the country and eaten at Macdonalds in the airport; Chicago Midway, Oakland, California, Washington Dulles, Detroit Metro, SeaTac, and everyone of them accepts the Macdonalds app. For some strange reason the Macdonalds here in Denver does not! Hands down one of the worst McDonald's in the country. They are very slow, very inaccurate, and pretty expensive for even an airport location. I work at DIA, and usually eat in the concourse twice a week. This McDonald's is consistently getting orders wrong: either not putting them in the computer correctly or just getting it wrong when they make the food. The employees also seem to have an attitude if you point out your order was wrong. I also question the sanitation habits and practices of this location, as I saw them hang a sticky fly trap over the burger assembly line. Not the best place to hang one, if the fly dies but doesn't stick it will fall directly into the food line. I also witnessed an employee clean off the back of the menu board (also over the food bagging / French fry area) with a DRY rag. That dust was falling directly into the food area. That should be cleaned after hours when the restaurant is not preparing food, not during business hours. Gross! read more

We tried three times to tell them no apple pies.. they looked at us in bewilderment and us the same! Because they don't speak english!!! Who employees non English speaking people to take orders???? While waiting for our flight, we chanced upon this particular McDonald's. Known for consistent food, this McD did not disappoint. However, it did lack some features that I liked about other McDonald's restaurants. First, was the lack of a self service soda fountain but that was forgivable as only half the McD's I've been to had it. Second, was the difficulty in getting ketchup. Some places would have ketchup pumps so that we can pour our own little cups of ketchup. Other places would have a bin full of packets. This place had neither of those. For places that don't have those, the order filler usually either asks if we wanted any packets or puts in a few automatically. They didn't do that here and we didn't find out about the lack of ketchup until we settled down at our table. Going back up to the counter to ask for ketchup seemed like an impossible task as all the employees were rushed in taking and fulfilling orders. read more

Really abysmal service. Ordered "two crispy chicken meals with bottled waters". Saw the gentleman ringing up quarter pounder instead, fixing it, getting the order through. I paid. Took my receipts and saw that he had rang up one meal and one sandwich. I told the gentleman I wanted to meals, he said yes, that's what I rang up - I showed him my receipt and he says yes, two meals. I showed him it was one meal and one sandwich. He called the manager, they spoke, manager walked away and came back with my meal -- except it was one meal and one sandwich. I again repeated that I wanted two meals. This caused huge confusion, what is the confusion?!? I just repeated the same thing 5 times. They went and canceled the meal. Then rang it up again, then something else didn't take at the register. When I visited today the card reader wouldn't pick up my card number. I was informed that I had to use another credit card or cash as they couldn't type in the number. That seems like a strange policy. While I sat there and are (after paying cash) I noticed a few other people who's cards wouldn't swipe either... sounds like its time for a new credit card system here. So... be prepared to pay cash just in case. As far as the food, it's the usual mcdonalds experience. The usual confused travelers crammed randomly around the counter but it was fast and the fries were yummy as always. I rarely eat fast good but I'm sure I'm not the only person who loves McDonald's fries as their guilty pleasure.
