I wish I could give them zero stars! Some of the employees are very nice but the ones who give you your food are the RUDEST! The short Spanish woman manager is the WORST gremlin in there! I order a LARGE fry and receive a small fry in a large container! Then when I express my dissatisfaction, they nastily tell me they can't fill up the fry! I used to frequent this location EVERY day! McDonald's is my teenager's go to. They love there Chicken Nuggets and French Fries. My son loves to get the Oreo McFlurry and my daughter always gets the Carmel Frappe with extra Carmel. I really don't eat McDonald's or to much fast food but McDonald's sure comes in handy when I don't feel like making dinner. Over the past years McDonald's has become expensive but I guess that cost of living went up and you're definitely going to pay for the McDonald's arches. read more

Really Macdonald's on Division Street in Derby. Your only job is to take my order and pack it up correctly. It's not rocket science. Got home and missing two cheeseburgers. Drive all the way back and the manager tells me she'll help me this time and I should check it before I leave. Updating my review from 0 stars the past few years... to five. After pleading to Corprate and store managers about the poor service for years, I am happy to finally see a change in quality and service! Whatever leadership changes or training changes they've made here in the past few months is really paying off, thank you for making this establishment great again. I was about to change this review a few weeks ago with general good service but hadn't had the chance to. Tonight however, when I ordered a sweet tea with lemon, they were apparently out of lemon. As I approach the pickup window, the manager is there with a cup of lemonade next to my tea, apologizing they are out of lemons and handing a small cup of lemonade to add to my tea. Now that's a great attitude and that's amazing service! I hope you're reading this compliment and I also know that without a doubt, you can continue to make more customers smile with your smart and caring business decisions. I order a simple macchiato HOT 1st they try to give me a caramel, I told them I wanted a regular Hot... they gave me an ice macchiato instead... the workers there can't read or understand English, one of the worst customer service I had in years. read more

I always believed that the point of a drive-thru is for speed and convenience - this location offers neither! Recently remodeled, this McDonald's has a "dual lane" drive-thru...which is the worst idea ever! It creates tension and aggravation when the lanes need to merge...this staff has always had enough trouble simply trying to manage a single lane drive-thru. After wasting 20 minutes of my life sitting in line, I decided that I will never come back to this location (I've given them too many second chances and they fail every time). If you're in a hurry, visit the location on Route 34 in Derby instead! read more

We don't usually frequent McDonald's, but sometimes we'll grab dinner in a pinch. This particular McDonald's is consistent. Consistent in getting orders wrong and missing items. Every single time we've been there the order was both wrong and they failed to include at least one item. Even though it appears to be different staff when we do go there, the poor service and lack of attention to detail is consistent. If we must have McDonald's, we will drive to the McDonald's on rt 34. So far, at that location, they are faster, the food looks like the food in the advertisements, and the orders have been correct. Is that too much to ask? read more

I got there a 1:34 waited in line at the drive thru paid for my food at 1:50 got a big box number 8 no dipping sauces and barely warm food. I called to speak to a manager and no one picked up the phone. DO yourself a favor do not go to KFC in ansonia there is a better restaurant down the street called popeyes chicken. read more

I like this McDonald's. Probably because I come here late at night and not during the morning rush. My mom does and she said they have gone downhill. They never make her coffee right. They make my dinner correctly, even when I ask for the BBQ burger without sauce. I never really had a problem with this location. They can be a little slow sometimes, but that's about it. read more

So apparently they have increased their prices. I don't eat McDonald's that often but when I do I get something small because the quality is very poor but it works when your in a rush. I bought a double cheeseburger and small fry and paid $6.86. These same two items were a little over $4. I don't understand why they think their double cheeseburger is worth $4 by itself. Everyone eats at McDonald because it was cheap. Now with these prices your better off going somewhere that has good quality food. A couple examples are Merritt Canteen in Bridgeport and Danny's drive'in in Stratford. For the same money you get a good double cheeseburger with the works. When I got home the cheese wasn't melted so they gave me a cold $4 burger. I won't write about the service here because after reading other people's comments it's pretty clear the service isn't good. I don't want to hear excuses using the pandemic as the reason. McDonald's is a fast food power house that is slowly dying. These new prices will not help them. read more

McDonalds has good coffee. That's the reason I am willing to try. Well, I tried. I tried to give my money to this McDonald's. This McDonald's clearly wasn't interested in serving me or the people waiting with me at the register. Inside register was unmanned - we waited. A person in a McDonald's uniform walked up and did something on register and walked away without even acknowledging the customers waiting. I left. The drive-through did not seem overly busy. If you like fast-food, I suggest you try another restaurant or another McDonald's location. Clearly this one looks nice but can be bothered to help customers. My advice is skip this place. read more

False advertising all the way around very very unhappy I won't be using the app anymore there's no point and it won't be the first time I tried to get the ice cream special in which they said there was no special and people earlier during the day received the special that's why I went there they need to get their promotion straight and stop picking what's convenient, just because they are understaffed. read more

It's enough that we all are required to wear a mask in public now, but when working in a restaurant it needs to be the most basic of task. I ordered a Southwest salad with grilled chicken yesterday from this location and the first piece of chicken I picked up with my fork was slimy and discolored. It did not look right at all. I would give this McDonalds a lower score if I could. I was in the drive-thru at least 10 minutes before I was able to order. It was lunchtime on a Saturday so not unusual. I order a Quarter Pounder w/cheese meal. I get to the first window and two of their staff are laughing and talking to each other paying no attention to the window. One girl finally comes to the window and just stands there. I finally ask her my total she tells me $8:18. I pay and drive up to window two and wait......After 5 minutes the girl come from the first window appears and asks if I ordered3 cheeseburgers. I tell her no and told her what I did order. She then says"Well I read it back to you and you said yes". WHAT????? The only thing I said was how much is my order. I tell her she never asked that and I never told her anything like that. OK so now she goes to get a mgr who asks what I ordered and then says ok well we're making it now. It's lunchtime!!!!! Should they not have items ready. They are supposed to be a fast food restaurant!! I asked for my money back she walks away and takes her time and finally comes back with my money. I went to the McDonalds on New Haven ave in Derby, CT and it clearly states there is a deal two for $5. So I ordered the Big Mac with the 10 piece nuggets. I get my order and there is only a Big Mac. Now when I got my receipt it said Big Mac $5.39. So figure that was the meal with the nuggets. When I looked at my bag and told them what I ordered the manager said she had to charge me $1.00 extra for the nuggets. Once I got home I realized I just paid over $6.00 for a meal that should have cost $5.00 pulse tax. Never going to this Mc Donald's again. read more

This WAS indeed one of the oldest and most run down McDonald's in the area. I agree with other reviewers. However, for those unaware, it is currently closed, being torn down and replaced with a brand new shiny McDonald's. The owners clearly knew the facility was past it's prime and have worked with Derby for almost a year to get to this point. I suspect late falls you'll be pleasantly surprised. read more

I'm only writing this because that 1 star review doesn't speak for this place. Been going here for a decade (from Happy Meals to Big Macs) and it's always been as good as it can be for being a McDonald's. When there is a long line someone usually comes to help on another register. The drive-thru is quick and the mornings are full of old-timers who honestly give the place some warmth.
