    dat nasty ass food

my family ordered way back burger on monday i had a kids meal (fries & chicken tenders). all of the food was cold and when i ate the chicken it was undercooked when i bit into the chicken it pulled apart like string cheese and the fries were overly salty to the point where i could barely finish the fries and not to mention my sprite was watered down. not shorty after eating this by tuesday i was sick from the food i was throwing and had the runs it was sickening to know how bad one fast food meal can mess u up dont eat here

a piece of lettuce on a counter

i found a whole bug in my salad couldn't have been more disgusted tbh, great service tho just not interested in being an entomophage

First, the food is excellent. The burger is moister and tastier than Five Guys, and there are a number of specialty sandwiches to choose from. The menu is larger than Stratford with the full slate of options. Second, the staff is green. They only opened a few days ago, so the team is just getting to know each other and their procedures. They work hard and there are plenty of bodies working to keep up with orders. But there are still a number of bumps in the road. (They added chicken to my plain salad, then removed it by hand. Ick.) This is the area that I expect to improve quickly and thus my rating to improve. Third, the site is fairly tiny for the traffic they are getting. This is probably inevitable as Wayback Burger is primarily known for take-out traffic. But on a Sunday afternoon - not the busiest time - every inch of the customer area was filled with people ordering, eating, or waiting for their food. Not an issue if you order ahead, but be aware it will be cramped if you plan to order there or eat there. Overall, I am still a fan. And things will improve quickly as they iron out the problems with a mostly neophyte staff. By the way, the Planet Fitness next door has free Wifi, so you can stay connected while waiting for your food!

Very clean place and the burgers were very very good -- and large! Fries are good. I'll definitely go back.

This place is very affluent, so there's lots of shopping opportunities in this area. tucked in the parking lot of one of these places is a large duplex-sized place called Jakes, which has a ton of good press online. We go in, and the place is somewhat dim. The place is small but very dark. It kind of reminds me of a collectables shop in terms of the ambiance. Functional, but not very inviting. The menu has pretty much all hot dogs, and lots of them. The sheer amount of unique dogs is impressive. This being one of our later stops in our trek, we opted for a chicken teriyaki dog and a Seattle dog for comparisons. The food comes out quick, we take pics and dig in. First off, the hot dog to bun ratio was way off. the hot dogs were way too small for the bun, which was very evident with the Seattle dog. So you would get lots of bread with a little bit of dog on each bite. Second, the hot dogs were actually very salty. This usually has no real bearing on the dish, since I do like my salt. The problem being that the two hot dogs we got had high salt condiments on them (bacon and chicken teriyaki). the combo of salt on salt just lead to some very salty bites. The dogs themselves were prepared properly. I do enjoy the split and grill method of dog cooking. but there was a major lack of balance with the two we got. If we got hot dogs that had other non-salty ingredients, then these dogs would be good. but as prepared, they were a little off. It's an option if you want a hot dog, I would probably avoid the two that we got unless you like salty dogs.

Terrible TERRIBLE experience at this food truck. Even 1 star is too much!…read more So tonight I was at the Hamden Food Truck Festival with my friends Kari and Laura. Kari and I went to look for hot dogs. We finally found a food truck that wasn't sold out of hotdogs - Dad's Food Truck. So I ordered a hotdog, Kari sees that they have mac & cheese grilled cheese and asked what it was, they said cheddar cheese mac & cheese tomato and bacon on a grilled cheese. She said oh can I just have mac & cheese. So the girl replied back "okay so just cheddar cheese Mac & cheese grilled cheese. No tomato. No bacon". Our order came out & Kari noticed that there was bacon AND tomato in it. We specifically asked for it without because Kari is allergic. I kindly go back up to the window and say we need this without tomato, she can't have tomato. So I see the girl bring it to the guy in the back & say they want it without tomato - the guy proceeded to open it up with his bare hands and pick out the tomatoes and just fling them off to the side. WHILE IM WATCHING. The girl comes back and hands it to me - I look over to Kari and she goes "did he just pick that with his bare hands?" I was like yup! I turned to the girl and said can I just have my money back please.. she goes, "why?" I was like well he just picked through it with his bare hands, not to mention that even though he picked the tomatoes off, which we could have done ourselves, there would still be tomato juice left behind - so she looked back at him and said she wants her money back.. She then tried to tell me that I didn't say no tomato - oh yes honey I did because my friend can't have tomato. The guy in the back then starts screaming, while making a 'shoo' motion with his hand like I'm some rabid animal saying "just give her her money back!!! Get out of here!!! *shoo shoo motion* He gave me the nastiest glare. Beyond disgusted with the way these people treated a paying customer AND the fact that they are less than sanitary. I will never go to this food truck again and I urge you all to do the same.
